It depends on what I eat whether or not if I can eat more or less. Wendy's: I ordered a 5 piece nugget and a broccoli and cheese baked potato, ate 4 nuggets and a few small bites of the baked potato. Taco Bell: Ordered a chicken burrito with just chicken and cheese, I only ate the chicken and cheese and give the soft shell to my dog. McDonald's: Ordered a snack wrap and was able to eat the whole one. Fish: I can eat 1 whole piece of a medium sized filet (3-4oz) I used to eat 2 large filets Shrimp: 4-5 medium shrimp and 4 jumbo shrimp, I used to eat more than I could ever count... Veggies: Depending on the protein weight on my plate, I'll adjust the weight of the veggies so everything balances out to 4-6 oz. I use a saucer to eat off of. Yogurt: 6oz Chicken: 1/4 of a large breast (2oz) I used to eat 2 large breast in one sitting...smh Ground turkey: 3 oz Protein Bars that I eat are 2.4 oz. Oatmeal, grits, and cream of wheat starting out I could only eat half of the instant pack, now I can eat the pack of it. One serving is 1/2 cup. I used to eat 2 or 3 packs at a time, now I'm so glad to be satisfied with a normal portion liquids right after was a struggle to get in 20 oz at a time now I drink 32 ounces three times a day and it takes me about 1 to 2 hours to drink, then wait 30 minutes and 30 to 45 minutes to eat. Once again the sleeve is awesome cause I used to inhale my food in a matter of nanoseconds LOL I'll take some pics tomorrow for you as well *edit* Forgot to say I'm 2 months post-op. 9 weeks this past Thursday.

Is there a store or a 7-11 somewhere? You could eat tuna salad, but make sure you chew it to mush or buy a pre-made protein drink, those are usually at a convenience store or a drug store. Good luck! :-)

Oh wow, sending a virtual hug your way I'm truly sorry for you having to experience this. I will definitely pray for you and your marriage. Marriage is something that the enemy absolutely hates and will stop at nothing to break one apart if he can. Believing in faith that the Lord will bless and comfort you during this time. I will pray that God will change his heart. Try to stay on track with your health, and be prepared this is definitely a spiritual battle, but God is most high and whatever the outcome may be you will come out on top of this tumult with flying colors. Read Romans 8:28 and hold on and be encouraged.

Husband cooked venison and the smell is making me nauseous....My 8 year old daughter felt the same and did not hesitate to say, "Mommy, that meat is so smelly I could just throw up" LMBO kids are hilarious.

Another good protein source in that stage is Greek yogurt, it has 22 grams per serving, that's what I relied on in that stage because, the smell of the shakes made me gag. I still have to break down every now and then to have a shake when I have a day when I just don't feel like eating. Another suggestion my NUT gave me was luncheon meat and string cheese, egg salad, hummus, and ricotta cheese. Some Greek yogurt brands are Fage, Chobani, and Oikos.

I was constipated a few days ago to the point of beginning to feel uncomfortable and irritated, I just had my first salad yesterday and it worked a miracle LOL. I also used prune juice diluted 50/50 with water about 4oz. You said you're going out with hubby so be careful with the prune juice. You can also use a fiber supplement like Fiber Choice or Benifiber, Metamucil is not so tasty to me. Make sure you are hydrated too :-) Have fun!

Why Cant We Have Red Gatorade ?
LadyK replied to azrrel herrejon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Anything red can cause them to think it is blood in your digestive track before surgery, now after you should be able to have it. Did they say before or after? -
I'm down a pound this week, 414 lbs to 413. and that is great even though I'm retaining water too LOL.

Yes, I gained 10lbs, and about 20 points to my BP the top and bottom number, they were trying to send me to the ER. That day really put it in perspective for me of what I needed to do because the month before in August was my birthday and I did a bye bye bite to Coldstone creamery ice cream at least 3 or 4 times. The week of my pre-op to the date of surgery(9/27/12) I lost about 27 lbs. and I was hungry and mad the whole week, LOL but you can do it

I like this thread! I was circulating the same meals too, and a lot of times I feel the same way, why even bother to eat. Thanks for posting this, and thanks for the meal ideas To add to the list, I also like to eat Kashi go lean cereal in my Greek yogurt. Hummus mixed with a crumbled boiled egg, season it so it's like egg salad, cause low-fat mayo is gross to me. Turkey sausage and eggs Weight Control Oatmeal Baked Tilapia with steamed green beans

300+ To Loose... Just Got My Surgery Date
LadyK replied to measureofme's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have 300 lbs to lose. I started out at 480 on 9/20/27, this was my pre-surgical testing appointment. My surgery was the following week 9/27/12 and on the morning of surgery I was 453. It fluctuated a bit with hormones and all the fluid they gave me through my IV, but I'm now 414 at 2 months out. I've got quite a bit to go, but notice a major change in clothing and my energy levels, it's been wonderful! I'm also off of 1 of my BP meds. Welcome and good luck! You can do it! -
Thanks lolly LOL Doxie, that's what my NUT warned me about, I learned not to eat that brand when I go out

Today, I did awesomely well with my eating, I made it to 1,086 calories, and got all of my protein in through just eating, no gross shakes. That amount will off set once I get in my cardio/weights before bed. I logged in my meals for today in a food journal and I looked at the list and got scared...scared of regaining weight. All of my choices were healthy and I don't understand why I'm nervous and on the verge of tears(it could be the period hormones acting up this month) My greatest fear is failing this journey. I can't understand why I feel this way, I've done well so far I just have this picture in my mind(and on my phone) of how fat my face looked and how tired I was of dealing with being like that.....just thinking about going back to that state, makes me panic. Some months are better than others, but this month, 9 days before my period starts, I feel like a weepy mess...I don't like PMS....I just feel really sad right now.

Where do you buy those? I still have chocolate cravings and a mean sweet tooth during this time, The best one I had so far was a Mud Slide Atkins Bar, good ,but makes me a bit gassy. It's only 15 grams of protein, 20 grams would be awesome for me, anything to avoid shakes.

Thank you everyone, thanks so much for the encouraging words Thank you lolly, I dread this time...I can't wait to feel normal again, ladydeen, I'm so sorry for your loss, thank you for encouraging me, but you be encouraged too, praying for you and your family's strength. I don't think one day will hurt you, the problem comes when we continue and say well I ate bad today, so I might as well wait till Monday to start again(that's what I did LOL) every Monday I would restart my diet and by Monday night completely FAIL! Before the surgery I would have eaten what you ate(minus the good n plenty I don't like licorice ) and ate and ate until what ever it was was completely gone. I think you should have a treat once a week, so you won't feel deprived and only because that's what you want and not because of how you are feeling. My treat days before surgery were from Sunday to Sunday and it took a toll on my health. Now we are sleeved and we can do this. Don't feel bad about one day, even two, what's important is that when you feel that you have fallen, get back up, dust yourself off and keep at it! Thanks again everyone!!

I know what you mean, I can't stand feeling like this, I'm usually upbeat and happy, but I think my hormones are getting the better of me this month...

5 Weeks Out And Had 5 Almonds... So Good.
LadyK replied to Strangefruit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was allowed shrimp, I ate a LOT of shrimp when I was in the soft food stage because chicken just would get stuck all the time and I could eat about 3 jumbo shrimp with no problems, the medium sized about 4. I would make shrimp scampi or just boil them a little with some old bay seasoning and have a little dab of cocktail sauce on the side and chew really well. -
5 Weeks Out And Had 5 Almonds... So Good.
LadyK replied to Strangefruit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's awesome! I want some cashews so bad, but I was told no nuts or popcorn either until 6 months out, maybe I'll experiment with my Ninja and try to make some cashew butter, cause I can eat peanut butter. The same thing over and over gets boring *edit* Why no shellfish? Also what is considered shellfish, lobster and crab? I think my nutritional book says the same thing no shellfish, but then it also says I can eat lobster and crab. -
I messed up and bought a scale the other day...and now am obsessed with looking at the scale too much. Glad I saw this thread! I'll start with when I went to the surgeon's office on 11/15/12, I was 421lbs, I weighed my self Thursday, yesterday and today(LOL ) and I am 414lbs. So from here on out, I'll try to resist and wait until next Saturday....I hope  So that is a 7lb loss.

Height, Weight, And Size Poll
LadyK replied to LeaveItToSleever's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi everyone! I am 5'9, I started out at 480 lbs, I wore a 44 in jeans and 6x tops. Some tops I had were 30/32 and fit me like a tight piece of rubber...and right before surgery on 9/27/2012 all of my 44 and 42 jeans were getting to the point where I couldn't zip them. Now I am 8 weeks and I honestly don't know what size I wear. I can say that all of my clothes are almost falling off of me and the 44 and 42 jeans I can't wear anymore because I can pull them on and off with them zipped and buttoned my 30/32 tops are getting looser as well, I am currently 414 my goal is to be 150, but for now I'm just aiming for under 200 lbs because I want a son, and did NOT want to endure another pregnancy in the 400's. I forgot I did try on a 4x skirt in my closet and it FIT, so now I think I wear a 4x, I can't wait to go shopping, but I'm going to give it a little while longer, maybe when I get into the 300s
