Sleeved Aug 6, going into week 5 post op Monday on liquids, Maybe after week 6 will start pureed, than soft and real food. I knew this before surgury. This is my Docs progression for all his sleevers.

Hi I am the same, 7 wks this comming Mon. Sleeved Aug 6, 2wk. pre op and 1 wk post op on clear, will be 4 wks on full liquids this Monday. Might start pureer in 1 or 2 weeks. My Doc takes caution when allowing to got to the next stage. I have no problems and will be out about 8-9 to start real food. I am suprised when I see some are allow to eat 1 to 2 weeks after being sleeved.

I talked to my eye Doc prior to sleeve (Aug 6) and he said wait until after surgey to get new glasses as the prescription will change. I was a diabetic and surgar levels do effect vision and I have been taken off my meds. I have notice that my sight has improve without glasses. I think the body is going threw big changes that effects all the sinces, taste and smell is others that I noticed changes. Positive Thoughts

I am with you, Sleeved Aug 6. Put on liquids 7 days out and next Doc appt. 4.5 weeks out. Thats the soonest to be put on purea foods, than softs and real food.So, for me it will be 7 or 8 to eat real food. This is my Docs plan for everyone an he has been great, he is very cautions with everthing.I was on clear liquid 2 week pre op So, it will be 8-10 week with no real food. That ok, I feel great, off 5 out 6 Meds and losing. Hang in there it will get better. Positive Thoughts

Hi, I was sleeved Mon. Aug 6 and released on that Thurs. I was a Diabetic that Monday But was taken off Meds at my release. I am having # 80s to upper 90s and was taken off other Meds. I had the same ? pior to the sleeve and Doc said I would be fine with heeling.I feel great only a little pain from 1 insision in somach muscle wall. Good Luck

I was sleeved Aug 6, still on liqueds for 3 more weeks. I feel good the only pain is right side where muscle wall was cut. This just starded over the week end But, Doc stated this is normal healing.Down 30 lbs and stopped 5 out of 6 Meds. Good Luck

2 weeks, Tomorrow is first day back, sleeved Aug 6, last week I was kinda out of it BUT, FEELING GREAT NOW. Good Luck

I am 13 days Post Op, I have been drinking Premier chocolate 11 oz 30 grams Protein. This seems to be pretty easy for me to get 80 g a day. My solution to the scale was to TRASH IT and wait for the Docs weigh ins. Stay positive it will work!!!!!!!!

I asked this same ? to my Doc this past Weds (1st post op ) she said that was fine. liquids travels threw the somach faster. That is why no liquid 30 minutes before or after solid foods. I was drinking a least 100 oz before sleeve and get well over 64 oz now. I even said I can drink 16 oz. an hour, she said thats great and ask me how much I was I able to drink prior to the sleeve, point well taken. I am just thrilled that the liquids are so easy to get down for me. Good Luck

Hi I was sleeved this past Monday Aug 6 and released Thurs. I went in on 6 meds and left the hosiptal on 1 med, an acid reducer. The meds that was remove was 2 blood pressure pills, 1 Water pill, 1 cholesthol pill and a pill for diabetes. I was not on insulin. The doctor told me that an just smiled . I was shocked. My blood pressure has not been this low for years.My Doctor told me before the sleeve, everthing should improve, it sure did. I still have a hard time beleiving this just happen. The only bad thing I get to scrap 100s of $ worth f pill. LOL Good Luck

Hi, I was sleeved Monday Aug, 6 and released from the hospital Thurs, Aug.9. I whent into surgery on 6 meds and was taken off 3 blood pressure pills, 1 cholesterol pill, 1 diabetes pill and still on an acid reducer. This was shocking that years of requiring these meds changed in 4 days after the sleeve. How long did it take other sleevers to get off their Meds? THANKS

Thanks for all the info.I never thought that could happen that fast to get off the meds. I keep askng the doctor if this was premature. I been trying get off diabetis drug for years than in 4 day it gone, wow this was very much worth the long journey. Thanks everyone and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi I wish I did it years ago. I am 5 day post op, drop 25 lbs from pre op diet to now. I was released Thurs. I was taken of 2 blood pressure, diabetic, cholestohal, and Water pill meds. I could not beleive everything was in the nomal range. I have been on these meds for years. The only bad thing is I have hundres of $ wrapped up in these pill I still have, I will bite the bullet and take the loose with these worthless pills. Wish You The Best

Hi I was sleeeved Mon. Aug 6 and released Thurs. I was shock to learn that I was getting off my pre surgey meds, 2 Blood pressure,Cholesterol,Diebetic and a Water pill. I have been on these for many years. Thats a pro to the surgery the cons I beleive are each persons. I am stil sore able to drink fluids. I wish you luck

Hi I am on day 6 of pre op liquid diet. I was told no Gatorade. I am on a carb and sugar free two week pre op. I can use propell zero which helps. I spend alot of time outside and its been darn hot lately. Good luck

Weight was a problem But, my turning point was becomming a diabetic. Good Luck

Hi, I am in 3rd day of 2 week pre-op (clear liqued). I cut down on caffeine before , But ended everything Monday. I felt fuzzy with a consant headache. Today i feel much better and not really hunger. The Meal Replacement that I am on have alot of Fiber, I think this helps. Good luck

I choose the sleeve over the band, mainly because I felt the band would have to many future maintenance issue. I was approved for the bypass But. change to the sleeve (Aug 6 2012). The bypass just seemed to have many internal changes. Good Luck

I am glad I have others with me in the same boat. Stay positive and I sure everything will work out. I have never done a diet like this,But many people have and many will follow. THANKS GREAT SITE !!!!! I am new to the blogging, still trying to figure everything out. I decided to get the sleeve after I found out I am a diabetic early 2011 and had first Doc appt. April 11, 2011. I was approved for the RYN bypass early this year than found out my Doc started doing sleeves. I had a bad feeling about the RYN So, i changed to the sleeve. (aug 6) The RYN was to much internal changes for me. GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I had the same problem after all the blood work was complete. Exerything else was fine with the test. I was told it was caused by lack of sun and not eatting enough fish. I told them there test was wrong because I spend many hours in the sun with my daughter travel softball.I just did not understand what the nurse told So, I research this and found that people that are diabetic (I am) can not process Vitamin D good and need supplement and they prescibed a pill.
