I received my lap band in March of 2010. Lost 65 pounds. After about 6 months I started getting too tight. Then I went on a 2 year rollercoaster of fills and unfills, playing with the same 20 pounds. This ended in my throwing up blood at which time they emptied the band and suggested the revision. I did not have a slip or erosion. Thank goodness we caught it before an erosion. The damage that caused the blood healed within about 2 months with no further complications...except that I gained all my weight back by the time my revision surgery date arrived. So far I love my sleeve and am so happy to be rid of the band!
