    Oh, ok, I was going by your original post in May saying you just started -- now here it is July and you're going for surgery. My 6 visits to the nutritionist had to be monthly, regardless of calling for same day appointments or not.

    Why don't you both contribute to a "gift budget" for the kids, and everyone gets equal from there. Anything extra you give to your son is from mom, you can give it to him later. A key to blended families (having come from a failed one) is on some level, acting as just a normal family -- not his half and her half.

    I am sorry to say that I still feel like a failure because I can't control my own portions, I have to resort to getting my stomach cut out. I'm not telling anyone except my husband. 2 friends know I'm "in the process" but they don't know I'm scheduled. At work, I'm going on vacation and working at home. People at work are cool, but we don't sing kumbaya together at breaktime.

    And if you haven't, do you have any idea why? I'm due for surgery on August 29th. I haven't done so well with my 6 month insurance diet. I'm scared it won't work for me. I'm scared I won'tbe able to lose weight, even with a tiny stomach.

    Hahaha, who has a problem here? Your post WAS negative, it didn't just "sound negative" to her, but that's OK. It was your opinion at the time. That being said, I wish you both the best of weight loss wishes. And I hope my good karma comes back to me and motivates me to start going to the gym like I have been planning for 7 months.

    Going to the Cleve Clinic? I am scheduled for Aug 29. I am disappointed at how little I've been able to lose over the past 7 months myself. And I need to make more time to exercise, but with 2 kids under 3 and working full time, extra energy is hard to come by. Seriously. Here's hoping for the best!
