It was just like u said they gave me a 3.5 fill today.. I was shocked no wonder i am not losing i have no restriction ty hon be well Lisa

well this fill was done under fluaroscopy and they tighten it tell i had a trickle.. i can drink water some soup and some juice have had about 20 oz so far. first day tho. i do feel restriction. for the first time . i feel like i need to burp but I can't. gonna wait alittle longer and see if i have the swelling go down ... i had not lost any weight prior to this as i had zero retriction. plus for some odd reason food flows real fast out of my stomach ..

Hi there.. Today I went in for my first fill and I have a 9.75 band with 4cc max fill and I was filled to 3.5 today I was kinda shocked . i am sure on the amount he filled i asked him 3 times and saw it myself . My doctor told me before my first fill that my band was the smallest they make and it was lose on.. Omg I am soooooooooooooo tight I can barely get water down me .. not sure if swelling occurs right away or not.. I am kinda worried since I had a huge first fill that I will not have much room for a future fill when i start losing has anyone have a huge fill the first time? would love some input here Lisa

Ok i am a month post op and I am not doing very well .. I have my first fill may 31 ,, I feel i can eat anything but i don't .. but i am hungry all the time and feel no restriction but i have about 3 oz of chicken ground up mashed potatoes protien drink ugh but that was my meal for yeterday I am eating so little my blood sugars r low .. I went to having 300 to 400 plus sugars with byetta and metforman to blood sugars as low as 62.. with no meds .. I don't get it why am i not losing??????? I am walking and u think I would see better results by now but I have not lost any more weight since the first week ... :youcandothis: I feel like a failure already .. anyone out there that can give me encourgement ? Ok i think i quilify as a slow weight loss loser here .. I was banded on april 18 and lost 7 lbs the first week second week gained 2 lbs and 3rd week i have not gained or loss anything.. dispite being on 600 calories a day protien diet .. u sure it is 3,500 colories per pound? I am thinking it must be 10,000 per pound the way I see it does not make sense to me .. went from 3000 plus a day diet to 600 a day .. the math is not addinng up right.. first fill may 31 .. be well Lisa

I am 2 weeks post op and I am very very discouraged .. one would think consuming 4oo to 500 calories a day u would lose some weight I have only lost 7 lbs since surgery and that was the first few days and then my period showed up and gain 2 lbs back hence no weight loss in 12 days .. has this happenned to anyone and is now losing? after the fill????? I think i made a huge mistake .. should have done RNY be well LIsa

Hey Elizebeth I was thinking I was the only one not losing ON THE LAP BAND I see alot of people dropping 15 to 25 before their first fill .. I have only lost 5 lbs since my surgery on april 18 ..I know i need to be patient but was hard getting replies from people who had at least lost 10 lbs after sugery .. I was not expecting only 5 lbs in 2 weeks of only eating 500 calories .. a day .. i mean i was eating well over 3000 plus calories a day prior to april 1. Total weight loss has been 12 lbs since april 1.. not very impressive loss when u look at other people weight loss.. is alot more.. But my first fill is may31 so I am loooking forward to a fill.. then things may get going GOOD LUCK Be well Lisa

I saw the doc today and he reassured me some lap banders do not lose tell the first or even second but said it will come off and said the band is wide open and lose and said in due time u will lose .. I guess i was hoping for maybe 10 lbs loss not 5 lbs but hey i am thinner than i was a month ago .. he said to exercise more and keep up the good work ..

I had myLap band placed on April18,2007 and I had lost 7 lbs then I get up this am and I gained 2 lbs back (period showed up early as well) . All I been is on protien drinks and water and low calorie drinks .. u think being on so few calories one would lose.. I am upset discouraged and thinking did i make a mistake ..,,I need some encouragement here .. what is going on???????? I am a diabetic but my sugars r doing great .. no meds needed so that is the plus but gaining 2 lbs upsetted me ..am I in starvation mode??? Be well Lisa:angry

My doc told me soda streches the stomach out hence hender the weight loss but i do know alot of people doiong great with band and having soda ..
