I've struggled with my weight since childhood. Up and down, down then up, till I've lost my total body weight at least four times in 3 decades. I have wanted to do this for so long. It's frightening how much being obese affects my health and at 43, I am on a slew of high blood pressure medications and at risk for heart disease. I am normally active even though I am over weight, but lately all motivation seems to elude me. I just want to have a good, healthy life and not die this way. I am afraid to have surgery but I'm more afraid not to. I've not been able to do it on my own and I know in my heart it will take a medical intervention to help with this serious medical problem.
