Hello VSG Family, I am a very sensitive person. I always have been and I have always throughout life tried not to be. However, I feel more emotional since surgery. I can't even watch TV without crying. I just had a very mild disagreement with a friend and the tears just streamed. It is unbelievable! Is this normal?

Hello VSG Family, I am 6 days out and I restarted the full liquid today. I found a really great Greek Yogurt I enjoyed during my Pre-op diet, Fage' with the little fruit flavor contents but it has small/tiny chuncks of fruit. Any suggestions on yogurt choices I totally can't eat plain yogurt.

Girls hang tight. I am only 5 days out. I've lost 8 lbs since surgery but my weight had been the same for two days! So I really don't know what to say but God is no respect of person. There are many that has been successful and so will you? Does your Dr's office/clinic offer follow-up nutritionist classes and monthly support groups? If so maybe you should consider dropping in. I had my VSG Tuesday 6/19. I have developed a habit of weighing myself daily. Is this good practice or should I discipline myself to space my weight-in out?

I would just continue to shower until I go my follow-up. That is definently a question for your doctor. Be safe you don't want to infect any of your incisions.

I am so sorry that you two are having discomforting complications. I had my VSG on Tuesday the 19th and I feel good. Just a little bored with the full liquids. I do have complications with intestinal gas that hurts but my Dr. promised me if I walked I would alleviate the pain and he was correct. So when ever I start to feel bad I walk around the house. Don't worry about the 8 lbs. it's proably only fluids. Try to remain positive, for worrying is not good for your healing. Best Wishes!

It's interesting how the clear liquid diet varies. My doctor required 5 days clear which ends after Sunday 6/24. Full liquid 6/25-7/3, I 7/4 I just to start my mushy diet still without meat. I can't have meat until 7/23. I am really excited about this new journey. Best Wishes!
