Just because it's surgery. Im ready for this change.

Congrats everyone. Surgery is set for Tuesday December 3rd. I am so scared.

Congratulations. Im scheduled for Tuesday December 3rd.

On my 5th pre op day i went to McDonalds and got a 5 piece mighty wing. And today i ate some chicken noodle soup by Campbells that was 70 calories. I have a cold and been feeling really sick. My pro op diet consist of only 5 shakes a day, water, crystal light and sugar free jello. I was told to lose 20 pounds within 2 weeks but only lost 5 pounds the first week. My advocate adviced me that if i didn't lose that 20 pounds by the 2nd surgery will be cancled on the 3rd.

I decided to stay home while my husband visit family and freinds. I don't have the will power to sit at the table and just have a shake. Its hard but I am fighting through it.

Thanks Vsg 2803 Im trying my best and your right im thinking safety first. I wouldn't want my surgery to be cancled. Therefore, im drinking my shakes and water

Thanks Hotmess. I know I'm ready for this surgery. I am not saying everyone cheats but im willing to say my failure. Some people have one pre op day or one week pre op. I have two weeks and i will admit its very hard. My doctor is so crazy to think i can lose 20 pounds in two weeks. I have gotten back on the wagon and started my shakes again. But thanks for the well wishes and i will try harder.

Thank you Bluetatto. My doctor only wants us to drink Optifast which has 160 calories, 17g sugar, 14g protein.

They are Optifast Protein Shakes. Yes, 20 pounds in 2 weeks. Im trying to move on. I just hope my sugery doesn't get canceled. Thanks for the pep talk.

I have to do two weeks liquid before surgery and today is my forth day. I'm at the point where i just want to gag. Five shakes a day, water, crystal light and sugar free jello. I'd rather just drink straight water, crystal light taste nasty to me. Anywho, i here others talk about optifast soup but my doctor wants shakes only. If sleeve is sleeve everywhere why don't the doctors follow the same pre op. Some doctors have no liquids, one day, one or two weeks. I need to vent!!!

Welcome!!! I would rather work with the loose skin then to continue be overweight. If you type in loose skin in the search section you can see pics of people who's been sleeved. Good Luck

He said i can have water. I questioned him about the optifast soup since i was drinking the optifast shakes he said "no". The shakes get boring, you know.
