What Are You Looking Forward To?
allnewme replied to note2bear's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love reading these posts. I am most looking forward to NOT walking in the room and scanning the room to see if I am the largest perso there. Not having to think about where I am seated in a crowded restaurant, as I may not be able to get through the isles if I need to get up for any reason. I am looking forward to being active again, not having joint pain, being able to ride a bike, going to the beach, having fun with my handsome husband, not taking lots of medications every day, being able to dress up and look great, feeling younger than my birthdays tell me I am (!) and living a longer healthy life. I want to be able to take my hubby on a cruise for our 30th anniversary and feel 30 again. I am hoping that 2013 will bring all these things and more that I have not even thought about yet. -

I cannot wait to meet Dr. A!!

True, I did the Medifast diet for several months and the chocolate shakes are good. I only drank choc. tried other flavors but did not like them. The chicken soup is good but you have to season it up some. I will probably place an order for some to have in house for the weeks after surgery.

Hope all went extremely well for you today!!

libido?? Oh, goodness, not telling the hubs about that one we will let that be his surprise for putting up with raging hormones!!

Accused Of Husband Stealing
allnewme replied to sleepeone's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Your story literally made me tear up I have thought about situations like this, where we could run into people that we only see occasionally and they could think my hubby was with another woman ( we have been married 29 years). I actually truly hope it WILL happen to us one day. I am sure both you and your husband felt so proud of your accomplishment! That is awesome ! -
Im So Scared To Do This!
allnewme replied to JentryB2020's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I wish you all the best in this venture. You have to get in your head that you have the power, not the food. Your pre op is a chance to work on your mental prep for thr first few weeks after your surgery. The first three to four days you may feel sluggish or even have flu like symptoms. Not at all uncommon, but you can mentally push through. You want to lose weight and this is your opportunity. Don't let your mind convince you that you can' t do it. Eat what you really want today, no matter what it is, and tomorrow just set your mind to follow the rules all the way. I am typing this not only for you but for myself. I start my pre op in three weeks. I have been on Medifast diet for many months so I understand how our bodies try to convince us of hunger when we are nutritionally fed. After surgery you may try just sitting with your baby and not actually lifting as much as is possible. I understand how hard that is , as I had two babies in a year, both C-section. Not easy being a mom when you are healing from surgery!! -
Yeah for you!!! You are doing great!!

Hi, Aimee, I know that insurance requires a lot from someone before they pay out for the surgery. I am happy to hear that you have made it through it all. My niece just did the same thing I am self pay, so I am going to Mexico to have my surgery on Aug.2. I am ready and looking forward to the day. Not so much the surgery and pain but for the day to get here so I can start new with my life. I am excited for you Best of luck with your surgery and weight loss!

I work with my husband, son and two other young guys. I guess that I should warn them of upcoming mood swings. Better to be warned than unaware, They are going to love me. I have read this type of post from many ladies so I know it could very well happen to me too.
-
Kat1, you have been on my mind all day. I hope that things are looking better for you. I have no idea about your pain since I have never been there but I truly hope that you get better very quickly.

Yeah, the diabetes is hard to deal with in the liquid phases. My Dr told me to take my diabetes meds the day before surgery but not take them after. He says it is just too hard on the stomach and I may not need them. I am happy to hear that Dr.A and Susan are able to help you out. That is comforting. Take each day as it comes and make the best of it, that is about all we can do. I will keep you in my prayers.

allnewme replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I know! I have a really busy July so I hope that the time flies by! Don't really want to have time to do much "thinking" about the actual surgery. -
