My Dr. has one on youtube and wants us to watch it. It rather grosses me out but I try not to focus on it.

Anyone here on liquid diet tried the Unjury unflavored or chicken broth yet? I need to order some but some people say they hate the stuff. Others really like it. HELP!!!

I am not a real good phone talker either, but the offer is there is you need it You can also text me. I did touch base with Susan and ask her about the other person with my surgery date. She is not on this forum but I talk to her via text and Facebook. I told her that she should find her way here. Her BIL just had surgery with Dr. A a couple of months ago. I know another gal that is going to Dr. A and she met her sleeve sister the same way. I also asked her about the drainage tube and she explained to me why he does not use them and in what cases he would choose to put one in. I don't think that either of us would need to worry about it. No catheter either, we are not out for very long and they want you to get up and move asap. I have a small bladder, so I hope that I wake up enough to know I have to go in time. Good luck tomorrow! We can do this......

SweetSusie, went out with hubs tonight to the local pizza shop for my "last meal", they make awesome club sandwiches so that and a salad was my meal of choice. I am going liquids starting tomorrow. I am going to miss salad, I hear it is awhile before we can eat that again. I do not know how you stand on your feet all day at work so soon after this surgery. Kudos to you! My husband and I own our own internet based business and I plan to take two full weeks off, unless I heal really quickly. I can sit at my desk and print shipping labels but packing the boxes and lifting guitars that are boxed, may not be on my job list for awhile. I plan on being really careful after surgery. We have three young men that can help me out and I am going to use their muscles. I am glad to hear that you are doing so well with your weight loss. I am really looking forward to that myself. You be careful at work and don't let yourself get exhausted. Keep up with your hydration and protein intake. TTYS

I am starting on Thursday full liquids. I have been eliminating one meal a day (or two) with protein bars or shake. Hubby and I went out tonight to the little local pizza shop for a salad and sandwich. So good! That was my "last meal", now on to the important stuff!! If you need to talk or anything just PM me and I can give you my cell #. I also found my sleeve sister with Dr. A. and have been chatting with her. All the support we can give each other will do us good, TTYS

Oh, Susie, so good to see your face How are you doing? I hope that you are healing well and feeling great!! I am doing well. Getting all my things organized and ready for after my surgery. I am trying to do a mini redecorating of my bedroom. I might be spending some more time in here for a few days so I just want to pretty it up some. Been shopping for my Protein and things I need for after surgery and to take with me. I needed new pajamas, mine are all really bad! Don't want the handsome Dr to see me in those things I bought a little summer dress for the flight back home, thought that might be more comfy than pants for the plane. Trying to stay busy so I don't "think" so much. Next week is vacation bible school at our church, so I signed up to pass out Snacks each night. Crazy when I am on liquids only but I am hoping it will make those last few days fly by! Let me know how you are feeling and how your weight loss is going!

QOTD: Do you have any major award planned for yourself along the way down the scale or at the end? I really hope to make it to Hawaii or take a South Pacific & Tahiti Cruise. I am more than scared of plastic surgery. I will have to be miserable in my skin to have it done. I would rather vacation!

This is so sad to read, I feel the pain that you are in right now. I have been married almost 30 years, we did survive infidelity but it took years to heal the hole that it left in our lives. His blaming you is wrong on so many levels. He needs to take the responsibilty for his actions and not try blaming you. I understand not wanting to divorce because of your daughter. You are in my prayers, because it takes a lot of those to heal the mess this has created. I wish you the best. Take one day at a time sweetie.

I did read one negative post about Dr.Alvarez BUT she said she had nothing to say bad about him or her surgery. It was complaints about his staff at hospital. I took it with a grain of salt. You can't please everybody all of the time. I personally would chose no other surgeon. From my research he is top notch. I have read so many boards and forums that I do not even remember where I read the post at. I have no fear about this DR. He has too many people saying really good things about him and his staff to focus on one negative comment.

Welcome! Lots of really good info here, you will be glad that you found it. I have my surgery on 8/02, so we are very close!

My niece is being sleeved by Malley at Menorah on July 24. What are the issues with the hospital so I can give her the heads up ??

They say walking really helps with the gas from surgery. You might try moving for awhile to see if it helps you.

We are all in this together girls. All of us will make it through and come out so much better for it. "That which does not kill us (me) makes us (me) stronger" that is my motto through this.

Think happy thoughts...it really does make things better my momma always looked on the bright side of a bad situation. Thankful for her wisdom now as I get ready to go through one of the biggest things I will ever face in life. Praying for all of us because I know we need it tonight.
