We are at the hotel now and trying to figure out where I can get some soup for dinner. That is tough ! Not much to eat out that is clear liquids. We have called around and places have broccoli cheese soup and a bean soup but nothing else. Crazy ! I may not get dinner tonight. ;(

Heading to the airport hotel tonight so we only have to be awake by 4am for our flight out of KC. Doing good, a bit nervous now!!

Melly~ i am thinking of you and you will be in my prayers, that is for sure. We are doing something so wonderful for ourselves and our families. I have been teary today, just emotions that need to escape. I am happy as can be, I try not to think bad thoughts (what COULD happen) just focus on the benefits of all of this. I wish you a perfect surgery and quick healing with as little pain as possible! HUGS to you!

My goodness, my nerves have kicked it up a notch today!! One more work day, one travel day and then surgery day! I am so excited, crying one minute but usually tears of sheer happiness. My poor hubby, he is in for an emotional ride with me the next few days!! Icandothis, I sure hope to see you before Rosy heads us back to the USA. I have to run for now to eat, my BS is dropping. I will be back later.

Oh. ladies...I am getting so close now! Goodness, I simply cannot believe it!! Only two days and a wake-up until I am ready to fly to TX. I am working tomorrow and Tuesday morning and then hubby and I are staying near the airport since our flight leaves so early out of KCI. From then on it will be a whirlwind, I am sure. Jenn, I am so glad that your Mom has come around to see things your way. It helps to have family on your side, that is for sure. I am not real close to my sisters but they do know and if they don't like it, they have not voiced it to me. My niece just had it done last week so I have her for support. I have a great husband that is happy that I am doing this for myself and my kids are too. I have a hard time understanding why family wants to be negative about something that will help us live a better life. Susie, I hope that you are feeling better now. You are doing so well, even with being sick. I can[t imagine being around food like you have to be. My hubby may not get a real meal for a very long time! I am in on any reunions that Dr. A will have. I look forward to meeting each of you one day. You are all special to me. It is great to have people that understand and do not judge you for being overweight and choosing to do something about it. I had so many nice things said to me today at church, it is nice to know that people care and they are thinking of me as I begin my journey. Sometimes I feel as if I am too old to change but I am not. I have lots of years left in me and I want to live them the way I choose to. I want to travel with my husband and enjoy the years we have left together having a joyous life!

It is a fairly new procedure and not many Dr's do it yet. I am having it done with 5 small incisions. I do not like anything going through my belly button, it takes a long time for that to heal.

Oh, bad day, Slenderella. My goodness, I would be stressed to the max too. Hang in there....it is almost over!!

4 days until I board that plane to TX!! So close now!!

I did OK today. I did struggle with some hunger (head hunger, I am sure). I am ready for bed so I can call it a day. Only 5 more days of liquids before surgery. Ready for this weekend because I get to spend it with my hubby and we have lots of things to do around the house. Time to get the suitcases out and get ready to start packing for our trip to MX, maybe that will keep my mind off of food.

It WILL happen once you get this bacteria under control. Your tummy is healing up now and it does not reqire much to fill it up. You will do better next week once you feel better and have more energy

Hopefully you will kick this strep in the be-hind and feel like eating very soon!

So sorry about the strep throat. My son gets it and it is so horrible. My Dr that treated him says you have to carry the strep bacteria in your body to get it. The rest of our family does not get it but he can be just NEAR someone and get it. Hope the meds help you feel better super quickly!! R>E>S>T

OK, ladies...this weekend... BEFORE photos (front, side and backside)....measurements, all over, (my friend even measured her head). Take pictures in the pants you plan to keep as your beginning pants. then when we get skinny, we can fit in one leg Well, they will be way huge on us anyway!! Get your own journal for $1.00 at Michael's and weigh and measure. We gotta do this for ourselves, this is a journey!!!

Stormwarning, I have only been in a funk (actually a horrid mood) one day and that was day before yesterday. Done fairly well other than that day. Had no patience at all. Not good to be at VBS with about 160 kiddos on that day!!!

HEY, I WOULD DRAG YOU THERE IF YOU COULD FIT IN I am actually taking my backpack and one carry on so I can bring home MX vanilla. If you have someone coming with you, send them out to get some. It is amazing. I bake cupcakes as a hobby (well, I used to) and it is so good. Much better than the kind we get in US. I like Madagascar vanilla but it is less expensive in MX and just as good.

mom_24, we will all have a meeting one day. Maybe next summer we can all make it to Dr. A's reunion. I can try my hardest to get there!
