    A Little Blue.

I felt this way too, but it does get better. Everyone calls this a journey, consider this part of the road where its a little rocky and nothing to look at.

    Scared I Might Be Pregnant

Get a home pregancy test and call your doctor is the best advice I can think of. Edit: Just remembered that they tested me to see if I was pregnant before I had surgery, you might check with your medical records to see if they did that with you as well.

    NewBie with pcos

I started taking this because I had not gotten a period in a long long time. After three weeks of taking it, I finally got it started. It is extremely heavy, but I think my body is rebooting itself. Thank you for suggesting this and I'll keep everyone updated on the results.

    Eating When Not Hungry

I don't really feel hungry right now but I made myself a schedule to make sure I don't fall behind on protein and nutrients. I've gotten cravings for things but I haven't felt like I've been starving myself. I'm on a 400-600 calorie diet so I try to stick to the priorities. I guess what I'm saying is, that I had to reset the way I looked at food completely. I eat to keep the body going and to stop myself from grazing, I set of schedule of times to eat. I can't say it will be easy, because its definitely not for me.
  6. I was sleeved on 6/14 and it is still hard to eat anything at the way I used to. Maybe that's the point. If everything isn't processed for me and cheweed slowly, I feel like there is a lot of air in my chest. I can't watch my husband eat because he eats like it was a timed event. I didn't realize it but when I do watch him eat, I try to eat at his speed and I paid for it. I told him, "I love you but I can't watch you eat." He knows I don't mean it harshly, but I keep my head down while I chew.

    They Call Me

You'll do great. Its really weird but I was calm when I finally went in. Just think of the future you.
  8. I was told that our tastes would change after surgery, which it has for me. I've tried the unflavored powder and the Nectar Roadside Lemonade and they are nasty to me. I stick with the Cytosport giant bag of powder from Costco and the Premier pre-made shakes when I'm out for the day. Its been hard to adjust to consuming a lot of protein shakes but I think it will be worth it. I hope this helps you.

    Kasier Permanente?

I'm in southern California, so I'm not sure my answers will help you. What did you need to know?

    Kasier Permanente?

    Yes, where are you from?
  11. This thread should be locked down.
  12. Its a requirement to take these classes through Kaiser. The classes are to prepare people how to eat healthy before before and after surgery. It was originally developed for the RNY surgery but they have recently opened up the option to have the VSG and Lap Band as well. I can't say what will work for you, but for me it was a gradual process.
  13. For me, I had a twelve week class that I took for surgery (Options) and they said we should stop drinking soda completely by week eight. It was hard because I love soda (especially Coke). I took baby steps. I started drinking Coke Zero and by the time week eight came up I was drinking caffeine free tea and Wylan's five calorie drinks (kool aid really). Drinking soda was my biggest problem, it shot my sugar levels over 200 in the morning. After doing that all before my surgery helped in the end, my A1C was at 6 (normal). Two weeks ago, my doctor deleted my prescription for diabetes medication off of my medical record.
  14. I don't think people are criticizing you just because they're no longer overweight and want to judge you. Its a general concern that after nine days after surgery, you're still healing that sleeve. Everything you mentioned does suck and I don't think anyone enjoyed the pain. I believe that they are trying to prevent you from causing any damage to yourself. You may not like what they said, but they are trying to be helpful. Not one is out to get you.
  15. I was having the same dilemma and asked the same question. Do a search for three week stall and you'll find that it's perfectly normal. Your body is readjusting itself and in a little while you'll be losing weight again. Be strong

I was thinking about getting a Fitbit because I'm not sure if my Gazelle displays are accurate. Thanks for all the valuable info

    Dyeing My Hair

Hi Ladies, I was recently sleeved (6/14) and unfortunately my hair is thinning quite a bit. I'm worried if I dye my hair today it could be a disaster. My roots are showing and I'm going to a party tomorrow, so I'd really like to know what you all think. Thanks!

    Warning Tmi Pcos

I'll be one month post-op tomorrow and haven't had a visit as yet. I've never had a regular period in my life, it was measured by weeks to a month at a time. Honestly I'm not looking forward to having one; they're usually messy and painful for me.

    When Will I Start Losing?

I asked this same question last week. Everyone was very helpful and it really just takes time for your body to heal. I think its from all the pain and stress from the surgery that I wanted some results right away. I also worried that I was doing something wrong. Don't worry at it
  20. Hi folks, I was just sleeved almost a week ago tomorrow and I haven't really lost any weight. Should I be contacting my doctor? I'm on a full liquid diet and my calorie intake is between 400-600. I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing but the scale hasn't moved. Thanks.
