I am a mom, and in her shoes yes she is probably scared of the same thing. But honey the reason this surgery is so important is so that what they fear does not happen. Obesity creates health issues, it lowers our life expectancy, not to mention the depression it causes. they are going to be scared. So are you...but faith is what is needed......Don't let fear and worry stop you from being healthy and alive...Your brother wouldn't want that, your mom wouldn't want that and your little brother wouldn't want that.. hope this helped

hey guys.....I have not had mu surgery yet but have done a lot of research and if you are hungry often it is because you are not consuming enough Protein and Water......and i could be wrong but i thought the calories for soft was more like 600-800 hope it helps

First I want to say it is great to have a place to be. I am 4+ weeks out and excited and scared. I see a lot of posts about how this is our decision, and it is but it seems to be a common thread that this is about us, but we are not alone. At least I'm not. My family and friends have suffered right along beside me. Every time my kids needed to clean cause I couldnt stand long enough. The trips my family has missed out on because I am too fat to fly. The pre planning my husband would have to do so dinner out was not somewhere with sides on the chairs. The lack of sexual positions, or my husband not being allowed to touch me because I was embarrassed by the fat. Just to name a few of the sacrifices of others... We are not alone, and those who love us have been just as frustrated, overwhelmed and hindered by our disease as we have been and so they are not perfect right now, and they may not know how to show their fears but they never gave up on us...... One of the problems as I see it is that we believe we are alone, no different then a crack addict, so we turn to our drug of choice......,,FOOD......food has become our companion, our solstice, our shelter and instead it needs to be those standing on the other side of this wall we have erected, those who would love to be our support if they knew how and if we let them.... My new choice is my husband, I would have been exasperated tooin his shoes. My incredible kids, I chose them. These friends of mine who are my chosen family, they are my drug of choice now.... God,the Universe or Kermit the frog.....don't care what you call it. I chose to accept I am never alone. I didn't get here alone and I can't cure it alone..... To succeed is to understand, to see all sides, to believe in your chosen outcome. Thank the ones your with, they have been living this hell with you, they just don't get the recognition.

YEAH! I feel so much better now.........thanks guys...I will still be there on the 6th so I look forward to meeting..My mom is getting at same time.....

All of this makes me feel better I started at 420 now at 384 start,y liquid in a week and surgery 4th of August.....thanks everyone for sharing.....

You are telling yourself you do not know if you can. You have told yourself like so many of us that this is your cure and I would venture to say you are as scared of the cure as you are the fat......breath deep tell yourself to smarten up and do what you need to do.....try just raw for a while you will feel better....drink your Water and get er donE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not in for my surgery till August 4th but with everything I have seen and read and understand now about weight loss...If you use this surgery as your starting point to change your life then the weight and all of it will come off regardless of what you have to lose....The average person doesn't change anything in their lives as far as eating goes. Dr.s would expect that if you have not changed your eating up till now what makes them think you will. So average says if you still eat what you want instead of what you need then yes you will lose weight but only 50 60 %. We have to try to remember that if you change your eating and stay on it, which was always my downfall you will lose all your weight too. So there is no way if you eat right, let go of your breads, sugars, garbage food that you will not lose all your weight and probably more than your goal regardless of how much weight you have to lose. My goal is not to stretch my stomach..If my stomach only fits a half cup food at a time, that is all it's getting dammit...*grin*

I have also seen that Bio oil and dry brushing really works and it starts to eliminate stretch marks.... Also and for me because of the weight loss I have I get that surgery will probably happen...but I have feared the turkey neck....so I am using it works wraps for tightening, I am using them on my neck once a week and on my arms..I will keep posted how well it works.... *grin*
