Hello everyone I am being sleeved on August 4th by Dr Alveraz....Has anyone gone to him? Just curious...One of my clients here in Canada has and so I was recommended and a good friend who is a Dr here specializing in obesity with children has done her research says no news here is good news...It means no one has had to fix his mistakes. *whew*. Just wondering if anyone else has gone to him?

the easiest thing for this is to pre package...what I mean is to do what Tosca Reno of clean eating says....package your meals and add extra incase you are hungry and take it with you...a days good food....or shakes whatever you are eating worth in a lunch pack...then all you have to do is open a container and not think about it.... if you have what you need you do not need to go to a fast food place...hugs

you bet hun...I will have my ipad...so as long as there is wifi I will be good to go....I am also adding some stuff to phone so I can text Klyn and I am sure she will keep you guys posted....Storm the day you leave I will be there first thing in the morning so I will be telling Dr A I want to stop and see you quick....I am getting excited....How bout you???? and don't worry it does get harder after a while...I was the same at first it was like let's do this...then bam I hit a wall...it was hard...A lot of hoping and reminding myself and believing is what has gotten me through to this point... hugs..

Hey everyone...new and old...lol.....I am getting ready to pack today...tomorrow is my last day working before surgery....my nerves seem calm so that is good...I was more nervous weeks ago....hard to believe I have been doing a liquid diet for almost 4 weeks....someone asked about sodium.....we should try to keep it under 700 a day I am told by my nutritionist dr....be careful of your protein shakes too..I had no idea that mine were so bad....300 grams a shake...so I started swelling....my hands and feet and found out I was retaining water....I drink between 2 and 4 litres a day and even that was not doing the trick because of the amount of sodium... I am not sure about anyone else either but half way through this liquid diet I got heart burn so bad for days I could not even drink water without it hurting...SO my Dr prescribed some heartburn meds and I am all good again...The liquid diet really does mess you up but and I could kick myself for not measuring first, my husband and I have really noticed the weight I am losing in in my belly butt area for sure....So there must be something to the Dr.s trying to kill us...lmao....have a great Monday everyone...hugs and love.. The scale is not letting me get past my 371 and it is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! and my sleeve sister I will be driving to said reunions in my convertible, so if need be I will come and pick your butt up.....*grin*

it is getting close.....i fly out early Thursday morning.....am with Rosie Friday and Dr sat.....oy.....and I get to meet two of you while walking around....yeah yeah yeah...not to mention my pixie of a friend will be checking on you guys for me.....I had no idea Dr A gave the shot.....lol....I know nothing I just trust him...

Motivational thought of the day: Most of us got where we are today by mistake... other things became more important like our children, jobs, family. Somehow along the way we lost any remnant of caring about ourselves, if we had any to begin with. I cannot speak for everyone but I know for me I woke up one day and realized life led me, I didn't lead it.. Our choice, this choice we are making now in our lives. It is about us. It effects everyone around us but it is about us, about giving ourselves permission to put ourselves upfront and centre for a change. It is exciting to realize that putting ourselves first and making the choice to finally take a stand and take care of ourselves means that our life will start to take a whole new meaning. No matter what we want in life we cannot achieve anything unless we believe in it. Hey hun Fear does many things to us and most of the time it is never about what we are fearing....This is without a doubt the biggest life altering change you are ever going to make. Losing weight. Not the surgery because it is just a bumper guard....Changing who we have been for a long time is scary...but look at what might be scarier? Health, restrictions, maybe even death for some of us.... Fear is worth fighting through...whatever you decide you will be ok but know that the only thing happening in you is fear....You will make it through this...huge hugs...
