I'm scheduled July 30. Still have some insurance issues to take care of but it's pretty much a "go". It's perfectly normal to be afraid. I always worry about those worse case scenarios, too! Just think about how healthy you'r'e going to be so you can do things with your kids and be there for them a long, long time.

After a long journey of medical tests, visits with a psychologist and nutritionist my surgery has been scheduled for July 16, 2012. I still need to attend a pre-op class and see the surgeon a few days before the surgery. The date is coming up fast and I'm getting nervous and excited. I've had lots of surgeries in the past and pain relief wasn't an issue afterwards because I would just get a prescription for pain meds after I was discharged. But, how do you take Percocet or Vicodin pills after a sleeve? Can any one tell me what meds were prescribed for pain and how you got them into your new, tiny stomach?
