    post op results

About 3 weeks out I started seeing little changes, my initial loss was in my face and a few people commented on that- one less chin. It wasn't until a couple of weeks after that as the swelling went down that pre op pant were loose. Give it time.
  2. You look great! So excited to see someone with my stats!!! I started 10lbs above you date of surgery so I'm 10 lbs behind but looks like our rate of loss is similar. I'm 5'3" and 39 years old.
  3. I was sleeved 2/20 as well and apparently we are all in the same boat without an oar. I don't eat like I used to but I eat way more than most (I compare menus on My Fitness Pal). Frankly, I don't know how some people do it- 400 calories for an entire day?! I get in about 800 and could eat more if I didn't pay attention.

    Drinking with Meals

Yeah it sucks but you get used to it. I make sure I drink something before eating, my doctor says up to 15 min before eating. Then wait an hour after eating to drink again. So when in doubt I pick drinking over eating b/c I can eat in about 15-20 min from then.

    2 .5 months post op

Great job!!!! Not complaining but damn I wish this was my post. Slow loser here. :-/
  6. I feel that way now and I'm only two months out. I eat 800 cals a day. I find that my hydration plays a big role on my hunger (not enough Water = hungry). My last pre sleeved diet involved 1200 calories a day and I lost 65 lbs. I figure as long as I keep tracking and exercising, I can eat up to 1200 cals when I get 6 mo out and still lose weight. The rate of loss may slow down but I should still be at a deficit. Think about your last pre sleeve diet. You probably ate more than you do post sleeve and you still lost weight. Hang in there!

    Quest Protein Bars

Love banana nut and chocolate chip cookie. Apple pie was good, not great. Same with chocolate brownie and coconut, they were so so. Want to try cinnamon roll and pb&j.
  8. Oh don't worry, Antiband, I have moments. I still love my velvet track suit. Lol!
  9. I have a pretty strong personal style. Even at my higher weights, I was a bit of a fashionista. After losing weight, I really hope to pare down. My focus will be quality basic and classics (white cotton tees, button downs, pencil skirts), layering pieces (cardigans, blazers), and then what make it me- girly, feminine touches (sheer blouses, lace, ruffles, floral). Yes, I'm all girl. For you, think about what styles or people you think are well put together and 'borrow' from them. Over time your personal preferences will take over. For example, I generally don't like a lot of prints, especially all over or large scale prints. I learned over time that those were the items I wore the least and were the least versatile in my closet. Now I generally don't buy them, I prefer jewelry as my embellishment instead. My advice, start with basics and then add from there. Have fun and remember as long as your tush is covered that's really all anyone cares about. :-D
  10. I told the truth but simply withheld all the facts. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia- true and had surgery to resolve the problems it was causing. Also true.
  11. Do it! I'm a huge believer in dressing for the size you are not the size you hope to be.

    Tummy tuck worries!

Mrs. Sasso- I am far from goal but just curious or want to give some considerations. As young as you are, I have read that age may be on your side in reducing loose skin over time. Similarly, I have read that people should wait until 1 year after hitting goal. Your skin will rebound some. It is my understanding that pregnancy will stretch your ab muscles and people are advised to wait until after prencancy to get a TT hence the name Mommy makeover. Not trying to talk you out of it but it might make sense to wait. Again not an expert or judging just my thoughts when reading your circumstances. Good luck in your journey.

    regrets

Can't chastise someone for doing the same thing I did. I came home on full liquids, started purees a day earlier and mushies 2 days early (I really hated purees, rather not eat than puree my food). So while I don't encourage disobeying Dr's orders, it happens. Doctor's orders DO matter. Do the best that you can. Best of luck.
  15. Congrats on the TT. Most of the fine department stores have free personal shoppers ( like Macy's and Nordstroms). Book an appointment and let them that your concern is fit, They will not only give you an unbiased perspective but can have the their in-house tailors fit the clothes to you rather that the other way around. If you get a few key pieces that way, it will give you good insight for shopping on your own.
  16. C2K is a free running app for your phone. It helps you build endurance and pace yourself.
  17. I feel like a new person too. My loss has been slower than others here but what I have gained in such a short amount of time is priceless. I no longer fear airplane seats- I fit without spilling into my neighbor. I just completed my first day of C2K yesterday. I get tons of compliments from coworkers on my improved shaped. As of yesterday I am 2 lbs from onederland. Life is good. Congrats to all Feb sleever successes.
  18. I do a few swaps to low fat where I won't miss it like yogurt, sour cream, and cottage cheese. Cheese however has to have some fat, nonfat tastes like rubber!

    Too fat for c25k?

Amy, I'm 60 lbs overweight and started running last week. Did my first day of C2K this week. Got 22 minutes in so I'll be repeating day 1 until I can complete it. Take it slow, listen to your body.

    Wearing Jeans again.

At about 2 1/2 weeks but the waistband hurt so I only wore them a few hours at a time.
  21. Congrats! Hoping to be there with you soon! Only 5 lbs to go.
  22. Bought my first pair of running shoes this weekend (New Balance- I have wide Fred Flintstone feet). Did day one, week one of C2K today. Didn't quite finish so will be repeating it tomorrow or Friday. I can't believe I am running by choice, no one is chasing me with an axe like in a horror movie.
