Food addict reporting for duty. I find the closer I get to goal the more I see how easy it is to let those behaviors reemerge. I don't know if it is fear of getting to goal and then what? As an addict, once I start on a trigger food all control goes out the window. That's why there can't be certain foods in my house. I imagine it is like telling and alcoholic one sip is ok. Where I am currently challenged is that my addiction is always seeking a new outlet, a food that held no power over me one day like cookies (I'm a crackers/chips kind of girl) can suddenly become my drug of choice. I am already dreading this week a bit as I must do what all addicts do and go cold turkey. Today, I am getting all of the Halloween treats out if the house and pushing water. I've got 2 carb-bloat pounds that I need to get off from a week of feeding the addiction.

Do you look older since you lost weight?

Botox paralyzes the muscles that form wrinkles. It relaxes the wrinkles since the muscle cannot contract. Great for crow's feet and forehead lines. -

It does. Love my Botox! Going for Restalyne next week. I don't plan to get much. Just a little under the eyes and around the mouth. -
30 min on the elliptical today and almost 2 min plank last night- my penance for the crimes I committed yesterday at the company potluck. Working out with my trainer tomorrow so no gain but no loss expected. Going to a wedding tomorrow and I have house guests this weekend. So not good eating likely to continue. So glad I am upping the exercise this month!

Mine was from dehydration. Start by adding extra water and see if it gets better. Took several weeks for me to get better over the summer. I couldn't keep up with the heat.

Boring here. Mine are my initials.

As I get closer to goal, I'm just now feeling like I'm looking older. Before now I definately looked better than I did pre-op. But all of it goes away with a little restalyne. :-D -
I haven't drank since surgery however I went to a party a few days ago and the big cocktail of choice was Fireball. It is cinnamon flavored whiskey. You can sip it over ice.

I don't think I posses the coordination required. That's quite a sequence!

Thanks Bean!! You and Jane have me thinking about plastics. Glad you are feeling better everyday. Your results are inspiring! -
Nonfat protein milk with sugar free Cinnamon Dolce syrup, Dannon light & fit greek yogurt, Bare Fruit organic apple chips, Mio water enhancer, cheese, baby carrots, preimere protein shakes, quest bars.

Hydration is more important than protein at this point. Sugar-free popsicles, warm herbal tea-- experiment with temperatures and flavors to find something you can sip on all day. A little bit all day adds up.

Good luck!. no liquid pre-op diet, lucky indeed! -
I get that way when I am dehydrated. I need to drink water throughout my workout. How's you water the night before and first thing in the AM?
-
It is possible but given how little most eat the first 6 months, I doubt that is the total answer. What have you been eating and drink instead?

I felt that way the first time I saw my parents after surgery. I was excited and down about 50 lbs. They were very complimentary and then my mom said that now I could stop losing weight. She says that everytime she see me now. it's kind of hilarious.

I currently exercise 3 days a week. My goal is to exercise 5 days a week in November.

I eat a Protein Bar or shake for Breakfast. Depending on if that holds me, I may have a snack or an early lunch. Lunch is usually a small container of bits and pieces from the local salad bar. Then a snack in the afternoon is a must- usually a Protein bar or a Greek yogurt. dinner is usually something easy like shrimp with pesto and green Beans. I try to keep my carbs under 100 grams a day. -

In the beginning I had to schedule it or I couldn't get any liquids in. I also didn't hit my liquid goals for the first few months. I averaged about 40 oz or so. I still find it work to get 64 oz in because of the no eating and drinking rules- sometimes it feels like there aren't enough hours in the day to get it all in! But I can gulp now and drink more in a sitting, so it does get better after a few months.
