    December Fitness Challenge

Calves are on fire today from timed, weighted calf raises yesterday. I tried Jillian for the first time on Monday. She's a tough broad. Added another 2.25 miles so far this week. Total mileage is 12 miles for the month.
  2. Gamergirl- red is your color! You look beautiful and that waist!
  3. Had my 9 month appt yesterday. Doc said I won't keep losing. His goal for me was between 160-170. I hit that at my 6 mo appt. Now I'm 147. I informed him that I would lose to at least 140 but was shooting for 135 so I have a bounce range. He just looked at me.
  4. Woo-hoo! Onederland! Congratulations, you are doing great!
  5. Thanks for the kind words! Exercise helps our shape immensely. I alternate strength training and cardio workout days.

    Best and worst "compliments"

    Great before and after crowsnestmomma!
  7. You're right that exercise will improve your shape. I started strength training a few months ago and it is making a difference. I have dumbbells of various weights, a balance ball, and a plyometric box at home. As I have gotten more into working out I've added a few things but to get started get some weights and get moving! You'll do great if you stick with it. There are lots of free workout videos on YouTube.
  8. I got dizzy from dehydration. If you struggle to get your liquids in, that may be it.
  9. Congratulations! You look so tiny! Great job.
  10. Congratulations! You look so tiny! Great job.
  11. TMI but true story: I eat 6 or 7 sugar free Ice Breakers when I'm constipated. Cheaper and faster than Miralax!
  12. I am a pear and have all the glory that comes with it: a shelf butt, saddle bags on the thighs, varicose veins and big calves. After losing 85 lbs since DOS I no longer have a shelf. In fact my butt seems to have sunk down to my thighs. I do still have saddle bags (dang it!-though they are much smaller) and still have to wear wide calf boots. Here's few photos of the journey. Shelf butt- oye! It's getting smaller Now, still a pear but a much more proportionate one!
  13. Yes GG, I'm in red dress. So fun to be the lady in the red while all the other ladies wore black.

    December Fitness Challenge

Forgot to bring workout clothes on Monday so two workouts yesterday. Legs in the morning and a short cardio workout last night. Today will either be more legs or cardio. Reflecting back, I can't believe how working out has snowballed for me these past few months. After surgery, I still hated exercise but like a good girl followed orders and walked daily. About 6-8 weeks post op I started feeling guilty knowing I should really exercise so eventually I downloaded C25k. Even then I waited a couple weeks to start it and only jogged two days a week. Fast forward to this month and now I workout 6 times a week, completed my first 5k last weekend and if I miss a workout I feel bad. I have had at least 6 people at my workplace tell me they started exercising because I inspired them (we have a gym at my work and sometimes all workout together). I can honestly say I never imagined all of this when thinking about getting sleeved. Happy Wednesday everyone!

    The New Normal

You look amazing. Great job! I have a** envy. How did you get your booty so high?! I can't get mine off the back of my thighs!
  16. I'll add to the party. This is from a few weeks ago at a work party.
  17. Gummies are on my Nut's no list as well. I take 2 Flintstones Complete a day. I take the one's in the purple bottle that have iron.
  18. The pros are major- forced portion control, great overall weight loss if you follow the rules The cons- being forced to deal with head hunger and disordered eating habits, being able to eat around your sleeve, having to follow rules about eating, drinking, and exercise for the rest of your life if you want to keep the weight off. The sleeve is not a cure-all. It is a tool that gives you a "leg up" on you weight loss efforts. I would get sleeved again in a heartbeat. I still have food struggles and some days are better than others but I am so much happier with my quality of life at 150 lbs than I ever was at 250 lbs.

    Love After Vs

I get more attention from people I don't know now but I think some of it has to do with how good I feel about myself now as opposed to before.
