    Boobs

I went up in cup size as I went down in band size. I was a 44c at my largest and a 34d now.
  4. I still struggle with this. Intellectually, I know I am much smaller but I get weirded out when people call me skinny. Skinny is someone else, not me. I get that I am smaller but I still see my saddlebag thighs and poochy tummy. I assume that's all everyone else sees but it's not. They see an average to small size chick who wears a size 6.
  5. I didn't have a large chest compared to the rest of me pre op so it is the same post op. I used to wear a 42 or 44c and now I wear a 34d or 36c.
  6. I started at a solid 2x/ size 20. Now I wear a 6 between a medium and small.

    hunger after meals

Yep, the dreaded hunger is back! Same thing here. I am really trying to focus on my Water intake to see if if helps. I am trying to drink 16 oz before each meal to see if it helps. As far as adding an extra snack, I was at about 900-1000 calories at 9 months out so as long as you are within you calorie range, it seems like you could break it out your meal spacing however you want.
  10. Same thing happened to a friend, she added healthy fats like fish and flax oil into her diet and her skin improved.
  11. I found that I had to Water down my shakes in the beginning or else I couldn't get them down. If you have some aleady purchased, experiment with the thickness, temperature and what you mix them with. To be honest, I really hated them in the beginning as well but over time, you do develop a taste for them. Now I kind of like them.
  12. I am so lucky to have a support group through my surgeon's office. It's run by the head of the bariatrics program of the hospital where I had surgery and my surgeon's NUT. It's a drive to get there but so worth it. i learn something new every time.

    Quest Bar Sale

Awesome! I stocked up! Thank you.
  14. Keep in mind, it is not generally considered a stall unless there is no loss for at least 3 weeks.
  15. It was the same for me the first couple of months. The difference is while I never posted huge numbers, I also never stalled. I just kept slowly losing. Now at almost a year out most of the Feb 2013 sleevers and I are at the same place.
  16. Not sure there is a standard one can apply here since we all carry our weight differently but I'm curious too for those who have had lbl, tt, or panni work done. How much did you weight before vs after plastics. How much skin was removed (in lbs)? How much fat if you had lipo? As far as when to get a consult, the ps I spoke with said after my weight has been stable for at least 6 months.
  17. Amazing work Tim. You look great!

    Curves

Just saw a commercial for a new Jillian Michael's workout at Curves. Brown- ask your club about it. It looks like rather than marching/jogging in place between machines, you do more complex moves like squats at each station. This might help down the road when you hit the wall, meaning at some point I got "fit" enough that I stopped making progress doing just the Curves 30 min workout. This looks like it helps up the intensity.
  19. Good for you, RJ! I think you will end up loving it. Some days will be better than others. Either way, you will feel satisfied and proud at the end of each workout. I often find it hard to start a workout but I never regret it once I'm going. I hired a trainer back in September specifically to build lost muscle. I started with 3 and 5 lbs dumbbells and have progressed to using 10 and 15 lbs. So the strength does come back, it just takes time. Consistently working out has also helped my body shape so you will notice clothes fitting better as well.

  22. I think many doctors unless they specialize in bariatrics are biased about WLS. My PCP said I would probably gain all of my weight back. Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence.

Thinking of doing the 5:2 plan

I've read most of the various 5:2 threads over the months. What I am curious about is exercise. I try to workout 5-6 days a week: tues, thurs, sat are full body workouts with a trainer and mon, wed, or sun are cardio on my own. Does exercise change how you follow the 5:2 plan?

What's your favorite go to snacks?

My favorite snack is carrot chips and protein dip. Carrot chips are carrots sliced like crinkle cut potato chips, I find them next to the baby carrots in my produce dept. I make protein dip by mixing a container of low fat cottage cheese, my favorite dip mix (ranch, French onion, etc) and a little bit of milk or sour cream all in the food processor until smooth.
