  1. Exactly, cardio to lose the fat. Weightlifting to help fill the space. Plus give it time, it takes awhile for your skin to contract after losing weight.
  2. Just to keep it in perspective, alcohol dehydrates you. After drinking your body retains Water. There is no way you drank 17,500 calories to gain 5 pounds in one or two days. The change on the scale is very temporary as long as you eat on plan and drink your water.
  3. I am good at taking my multi w iron (chewable) and my B12 (liquid, sublingual). I also take fish oil b/c I was having dry skin. I take that as needed aka when I need it. Where I really fall down is calcium b/c I can't take it with the multi. I have petite calcium citrate from drug store but my favorite is a blueberry flavored liquid calcium. Tastes like yogurt, you might find liquid more agreeable.

    protein bars?

Some flavors are stickier/softer that others. I think cookies and cream is the softest so avoid that one. Chocolate chip cookie dough is firmer and you can chill the bars; they will firm up.
  5. I don't understand why you would be miserable on your wedding day given that you could be almost a year out. I felt amazing after the first 3 months and at less than 3 months, I didn't feel bad, just not as great as now. Think about all the dress options you'll have.

    Chico ca

You can PM me with questions.
  7. Agreed, 800 a day, everyday only happens in the first year or two. I find I maintain my weight fairly well at around 1300 cals a day and I workout 5 days a week. I have to drop to 900-1000 to lose anything significant. I'm praying that I can keep this weight off long term.

Sort of, I split my time between Sac and Chico.
  9. Sleeve 4 Me and Laura- thank you both for posting. It is great to hear what to expect long-term.

    Shoe size

No real change in shoe size, wore an 8 to 8.5W before but I did have to toss some shoes that I had stretched out. I have wide feet and big calves regardless of my weight.

Shopped at St. John's yesterday for the first time. Got a tweed skirt in a size 6. I felt so fancy! Love shopping now.

115 lbs dead lift?! I'm impressed and my hamstrings are sore just thinking about it. Great job!

    starbucks question

Skinny cinnamon dolce steamer- no fat, no sugar, and all good- best drink ever.
  19. I went through spells of this and it was due to dehydration vs. not enough calories. At only 7 weeks out, your calorie count is within a typical range so try focusing on your water as well. I was at around 600 cals at that stage. Good luck.
  20. Not sure it can be avoided but know that it does get better with time. In the beginning we lose weight so fast that our skin needs time to catch up. So know now that it may look worse before it gets better. I agree with the recommendation of the previous poster regarding strength training. It can help.
  21. It took me 13 months to reach my initial goal of 140 lbs. I am now almost 18 months out and 4 lbs under goal, slowly losing the last 6-7 lbs to get to my stretch goal. The sleeve is a tool and I use it when I want. Meaning, I could have lost these last pounds already but I decided to go up my calories and let it come off more slowly. Your sleeve won't break or go away so you can do this! :-)
  22. There are lots of vegan protein options and powders. Pea, hemp, and rice protein powders are all readily available online or at health food stores. It can be done but I agree that taking it on after you are near goal is a good option. I remember being overwhelmed after surgery just trying to follow all the rules. Once you have it down on taking vitamins, staying hydrated, etc then you should go for it. Good luck!
  23. Congrats on your journey thus far. It is great to hear from folks a few years out. I'm a year and a half out and find myself in the same place you described, gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. I too need to buckle down and clean up the diet if I want to see sustainable loss. Thanks for posting, it is good to hear my experience is similar to others.
