  2. I split my time btwn Sac and Chico.
  3. Not offended but I recognize that the people who call me skinny are only are people who knew me fat. People who I meet now say nothing because I just look normal to them.

    Saggy Skin Blues...

I am almost two years out and my loose skin continues to improve as I reached goal in 13 months but I will tell you straight- you are early out, it will probably get worse until your weight loss starts to level off. Then it will start to get better but ultimately most of us could use a nip and tuck.
  5. I feel you. Almost 2 years out and still cold. Not looking forward to winter- at all. Also can't eat and drink or I puke or if I eat too fast, I puke. But I love my sleeve and I'll gladly layer up in my size small sweaters. :-)
  6. I appreciate this topic because I am still confused on what I see. Even at my heaviest, I thought I looked good. I dressed well and fashionably. I think because I had been heavy my entire life, I had no other perception of myself. No loss of former slimness or "what I once was". Now at a healthy weight, I am more critical of myself than before. I have days where I can only focus my loose skin or remaining belly fat. I dunno, intellectually, I know I look better than before but emotionally, I have yet to find peace because I still secretly fear that this is a just a dream and I will wake up most of my weight back.

    Cereal and milk

I find that it doesn't stick with me as long as eggs or oatmeal. I make both in the microwave so they are really fast choices as well.

    Starbucks...

I don't think 40 calories makes a difference one way or another. I try to avoid beverages that have more than the calories in a glass of milk.

    NSV shout outs

Sat on my hubby's lap last night. I love knowing I'm not suffocating him! It never gets old.
  10. I think you should keep your goal of 150 as the focus for the next year. 20-30 lbs seems very realistic and attainable for your next 12 months post-op. Like you, I felt amazing before I hit goal but I must say working to get the last 10-15 lbs off actually made a fairly significant difference. I did lose volume in my face but it was nothing a little needle full of Restalyne couldn't fix. Congratulations on your surgiversary.
  11. Took the day off, make a collage.
  12. Took me a year to reach my original goal of 140 lbs. I had over 100 lbs to lose. Maintenance is a struggle because I can now eat significantly more and I can tolerate everything.

    Turkey bacon

If you are cleared for solids, then yes. You may just want to look for low sodium and no nitrate versions as to less upset your new tummy.
  14. No it is not always necessary nor does it always work. My surgeon did not prescribe it and I have never had a gallbladder attack.

    Tall girl rant!

Ann Taylor and Loft both carry a large selection of tall clothing. While they have a petite section in store, I think the tall may only be online- not totally certain though.

    What works for you?

Having a trainer and group exercise classes have really helped me. Left on my own, I exercise once a week at best. With my trainer, we have a standing appointment that I must show up for. Recognizing what I cannot do on my own and still expect results had made a difference.

    NSV shout outs

My most recent NSV was at the jewelry store. I ordered a size 5 ring and it is way too big. Probably getting it sized down to a 4.5. Also saw my Primary care doc for the first time since surgery. She called me "skinny Minnie" and her nurse thought my medical record was wrong and tried to change my last recorded weight (which was preop) to 145, she assumed 245 was a typo.
  22. Give it time too. Easier said than done I know but some of my skin laxity has improved simply do to the passage of time. We lose weight so fast, we need to give our skin a chance to catch up.
