Am I going to be burping like this forever?
erp replied to jenniferg2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I burp when I eat too fast so if your like me, you will always burp. ???? -
If you take Flintstones Complete, do take the right ones since they have several "complete" formulas that all differ from each other. Get the chewable ones (not gummy) in the purple bottle that are like the kind you took as a kid. I also take chewable or liquid calcium citrate and Kind brand liquid B12.

So what do you do about pants?
erp replied to snarkychef's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I agree. ^^^ Just shop and get new stuff unless there is a financial limitation. I shopped the whole entire time I was loosing, thrilled to try on newer smaller clothes and to walk into store like Banana Republic that had previously never existed in my world. Stick to sales and clearance and then take to consignment or donate them since you will have the receipts. Just a few of my gazillion dressing room shots from that time. It was surreal.[attachment=51842:ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1425013689.495788.jpg] -
FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
erp replied to DivaNurse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just dropping a note since most Feb 2013 Sleevers are long gone. I stay with the forums to help keep my head in the game. My 2 year surgiversary came and went without fanfare. I live a new normal now at 135-139 lbs. I have an unending goal to get to 130 lbs but I don't work at getting to it. I eat 1200-1500 calories a day. I gain if I just eat junk or carbs but otherwise weight maintenance isn't too tough. I am amazed at how much I can eat now. Half a sandwich is no problem here. I now live an active lifestyle and can truthfully say that I look forward to exercise (it took probably a year or so to get to that place). My life has changed a lot since surgery and most of those changes have been for the better-- if nothing else, my wardrobe is amazing! To any other Feb 13 Sleevers, I hope this post finds you happy and healthy and drop a line if you can. Here's a body pic from Valentines Day. -
Stats are in my signature. I posted the first 9 months or so before the website switch when signatures got all messed up. To answer your question, yes, you can continue to lose consistently just at a slower pace.

Those usually contain collagen as the primary form of protein which doesn't have the amino acids we need to process it. In other words, you do not get 42 grams of protein because our bodies cannot absorb it in this form. In general, stay away from these bullet type protein tubes. They are a waste of money. I know protein shakes get old but there is a reason we are told to drink them.

HELP How do I get all my protein?
erp replied to chip305's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
^^^ I agree. At 7 weeks out, I could never have hit those numbers. I drank a shake for breakfast everyday for at least the first year. -
Calcium...getting it from milk is enough?
erp replied to bluesclues's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What do your surgical guidelines say? My dr's office wants my to take 1500 mgs of calcium citrate a day. I use a supplement to help get me there. -
For calcium, I use a liquid as well: http://www.vitaminworld.com/calcium%2Fmagnesium/calcium-magnesium-citrate-with-vitamin-d3-blueberry-0070035831.html?scid=25842 I take these sometimes too: http://www.amazon.com/Calcet-Lemon-Calcium-Citrate-Creamy/dp/B003AL6LWW

✂️How many sleevers have had their gall bladder removed?
erp replied to ☁️9⃣B????'s topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Still have mine. No gallbladder issues here. -
90 days is not that long. I am happy that I went through the hoops because I can get all of my aftercare in town, versus the couple of hours away the self-pay doctor I was going to use was. Keep the money for plastics. :-D

Body Fortress @ Walmart.

I switched from creamer to adding part of a Premier protein shake- the entire carton is 160 cals and I use about a third to half in a day to sweeten my beverages and get protein to boot.
-
@wifey I'm hungry all the time too. I'm 24 months out and after being programmed for the last couple of years to each 4-5 times a day. I feel like eating is all I do! I started prepping my food and freezing pre-portioned out so I can stick to better choices. I also have been upping my fluids in lieu of food.

@jamie. That maybe the right direction for me then. I workout 4-6 days a week so I'm not trying to get motivated or become active but if I understand correctly, I'll know how effective or not my workout was by using a HRM.

If I go too low with carbs (even after the initial 3 day withdrawals hump) I have lethargy. Low carb for me has to be more than 50 but less than 100 grams when trying to lose weight.

Hmmm... Had a Fitbit and didn't like the false step count but I have been seriously been thinking about getting a heart rate monitor. Are they any better?

Dark rings around some peoples eyes
erp replied to k9nana's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had bags under my eyes after surgery from losing the fat in my face. Nothing some Juvederm in my cheeks couldn't fix. -
Weight lifting is really the best. I've had good results but alas, nothing replaces plastic surgery. The top is muscle but the bottom is loose skin:
