  1. My size varies by manufacturer. At Vickie's I measure as a 32D and at Nordies a 34C and my favorite t-shirt bra is a 34B. Point is not to get set on a certain size bra, they all fit differently. The cut of the cup determines if I will have front boob. Push up and Demi cup bras always make me spill out. Recently I have been loving lightly padded bralettes.
  2. Tracking macros, low carb, obliques make a showing. Can't begin to think what these arms would look like if I didn't lift weights.
  3. thanks! yea pretty much..i'm able to achieve muscle growth, i can see it and feel it in my legs and arms. im and apple shape. so most of my body fat hangs around my torso. i have to do a lot of cardio. i think im scared to look too thin. and so i havent kept up with my cardio routine. HIIT cardio is best for fat loss along with diet. I loosely track my macros in addition to my calories but for the folks who really do follow their macros, I've seen some amazing transformations. You can google IIFYM calculator to calculate your levels. I would also keep hitting the weights as well to provide shape and definition to your body as you shed fat. Keep us posted on your progress. Great job so far! Can you even believe you have to worry about looking too thin!!! ????

    Free Quest Protein Powder Samples

    Fingers crossed
  5. I am about 2 and a half years out and just had my first gain. Like many, I lost under goal to have a bounce range and stayed within that range for over a year so gaining felt like a shock. Technically I am only 2 lbs over goal but I am 7 lbs away from my lowest and now have a few outfits that are too tight to wear. I am currently trying to lose at least 4 lbs to be back in my "range" but the scale doesn't seem to want to move. I am trying to focus more on protein and keep my hands out of the candy dishes on everyone's desk at work.

    Are you done losing weight?

I have been told not to lose more. It is definitely a personal decision on where you end up but for me, I too still see the "fat tummy". Time however has given me some perspective. Sure, I have body fat, I'm supposed to. However my body fat is in a healthy range (28%) for my age and height and unless I have a tummy tuck, I will always have that extra tummy. At least some of it is skin and the rest is well, normal.

Why Does Everyone Want To Be A "Food Addict?"

Food addiction is a way of saying you have an eating disorder. Is bulimia or binge eating made up? Mine isn't.
  8. I slowly added 100 calories in at a time to find my maintance calories. I still track my calories and keep a range in which my weight can flucuate so I don't drive myself crazy (135-140). When I let loose- read eat or drink whatever I want- the brakes get applied when I get to the top of my bounce range. I love maintenance because I can have a treat everyday as long as I eat well the rest of the day and keep up on my fluids.

    Oh Chest Where Art Thou?

MountainGirl, you may not find your lost boobies but from experience, it does get better. Based on your ticker, you're still losing and your body/breasts may become more proportionate with time. Pre-op I was a 44C, now I'm a 34B but I'm also now a size 4/6 so my bust looks in line with my size. Plus my pushup bra options are now limitless!

First day with a personal trainer

Great job @JustWatchMe. I have been working out with a trainer for a year and a half and love it. Stick with it and enjoy!
  11. I am over 2 years out and drink one RTD shake a day, usually add it to my morning tea to make a "mocha". On the weekends or when I feel ambitious, I make a shake from The Dashing Dish website. My hubby is not a WLS patient and drinks a shake a day because he is often too busy to stop for meals during the day.

    Motivation to Reach Goal

@@Jamie, I have read way too many threads about regrets from folks 1, 2, or 3 years out who regret never having reached goal and finding it so difficult to get back into weight loss phase. I have read very few threads, if any, from people who regret reaching goal or of being "too skinny". Frankly, barring any complications from surgery, we are all experts at gaining weight and can remedy "too skinny" should that actually ever happen by eating higher calorie foods, adding more carbs, etc. From my own experience, I am so happy I reached my goal weight. I definitely have dieter's fatigue and could not take another 20-30 lbs off this far out from surgery now. I just can't see myself getting my head back in the game. I would recommend taking full advantage of the "honeymoon".
  13. Depends on which formula. Stay away from all the gummies. Their best formula is the 'complete' chewable tablet. It has iron and the large bottle is purple.

    Sacramento CA?

Also in Sacramento. Dr. Eslami offers a free support group. They meet twice a month. I highly recommend it.
  15. Quest bars. I have a box with me in the car and a box at home.

    Anyone getting married?

I am getting married this weekend. I would suggest buying a dress off the rack if you are less than a year out from surgery before your wedding. A dress can only be cut down so far. I had to order my dress last September to get it by the end of the year and was told 8 weeks for alterations. Had I still been losing versus at goal, there is no way a seamstress could have kept up with my body changes. Good luck and enjoy the process or better yet, elope!

Started as a size 20/22w or 2x. Now a size 4/6 or small.

    Two years later...

Welcome! Glad you are here! My story is very similar to yours. Keep sharing your story and let us know if we can help you continue in your success.
  19. I still attend when I have time. I think it is a good way to pay it forward much like responding to newbie questions here. I remember feeling so curious and mystified as a pre-op at post-op results. Not believing that could ever be me. I want to show people what is possible, what success looks like, and that the 60% average effective weight loss is only your outcome if you choose for it to be.

2 years post. I don't have dumping. Kind of wish I did to stay in check.

    Well, I Went Swimsuit Shopping

Swimsuit shopping is total anxiety. I wish they made flattering suits for modesty in small sizes. My matter how much weight I lose, a bikini is never gonna happen! Last year, I had to go for the tankini and skirt option to cover the thighs and belly skin. Don't love it, it is just okay. Dream suit would lift the girls (underwire at least though a little padding would be nice) hold in the tummy jiggles and cover the droopy thighs in a size 6.

    Pills you say?

Immediately after surgery, I had trouble with pills, puked up a vitamin and my birth control. That went away about a week post op. Following surgery, I took liquid pain meds and sometimes still do. I try to avoid NSAIDs since they can irritate the stomach, making sure I take the least dose possible if I do take them and never on a completely empty stomach. I usually take liquid Tylenol if needed for pain.
  23. How tall are you? It does seem low so perhaps somewhere in the middle makes sense, e.g. around 125. Two thoughts, health is more than just scale weight and it is just one indicator I used when setting my goal. Second, I set my own goal for the opposite reason, I thought my surgeon's goal was too high. So if setting your own goal, look several health indicators, including BMI and body fat. Make sure your BMI is under 25 which is a healthy range for your height. Also look at body fat percentage. Ideally, your body fat percentage should be under 30%. In creating a goal, I used all of these indicators. I wanted to weight 140 lbs or less, that gave me a BMI of under 25 and I wanted a body fat percentage of 28% or less. Currently, I weight about 137 (I bounce between 134-139), my body fat is 25% and my BMI is 23.7.
