Glad all is well with you & band. It's nice to hear the good stuff!! I went thru and unfill & refill and all seems to be well too. Movin On!!--Right on sis!

Hi Diane- Maybe we can jump back on the wagon together. I saw your comments on my "unfilled thread" Bread, nachos, margaritas (frozen strawberry), brownies. I did it all this weekend. One day (maybe one hour) at a time for me. I'm starting out the day with oatmeal. I've got a tuna sandwich for lunch. OK sister, I am thinking about you and sending psychic messages. your way. Together let's try to minimize the junk until we can get some juice back into the belly band!

Hi All- Just a quick update. For the last month, I've had some severe (in my opinion) heartburn, indigestion and reflux. I've also had a couple of pretty severe PB's. I stopped into see my surgeon yesterday just to let them know what's going on. Well, we've decided to take all the fill out and give everything a chance to heal. Immediate relief from the heartburn I was experiencing at the time. The other funny thing I experienced was I was immediately ravenously hungry. Head Hunger?? I don't know. I am going back in on the 31st to see how things feel and refill my band. I know they will sneak back up to my previous fill level. The last fill I had was in October which brought me up to 7cc in the VG band. I know in the back of mind this fill was always a little too tight for me, but I was losing weight and the PB's were few and far between. I also know I've been mired in the old "soft food syndrome" Reality check...I need to have this band. I've encountered a small hiccup but I think for me it's really important to have this indigestion/reflux thing resolved. Now I'm focusing on making good food choices for the next ten days. I was able to avoid the Cinabons in the kitchen at work. Wish me luck Sal

Great NSV-- Funny timing on this post. I just looked at my drivers license on Sunday. I am within 5 pounds of the weight I lied about on it. Also, I had a passport picture taken last year at about my heaviest. It's a crappy picture anyway, what a great excuse to get it re-taken

Somebody at work came up with Crash Wetmypants I kinda like it!

Hi All- Everyone is so darn clever here I thought I'd throw this out to the masses and see what comes up. I'm going go-karting for a work function Friday Night. I've done this before and actually love it. It's like you're driving a lowered lawn mower really fast. Last time I did it, one of my Ironworker buddies hit me really hard. He was so sweet, he said, Gee Sal, are you OK? Your head really snapped back (he really was sincere). I said, my neck is ok Mark, but you made me pee my pants. Anyhow, I'm going for it again. I've got a couple of names for a couple of guys: Dash McCrashington Dirk Swerveswell Everyone put your foil helmets on and help me think of a name for me. Thanks Sal:bananalama:

You are my new hero. Other than looking seriously high, I can already see the difference. Just think once the swelling goes down, how incredibly spectacular you will look. I am so proud of you. Now, I just need to find a doc in the states would do both of these procedures at the same time. I can't wait to see future pictures (especially of the boobs) Sounds funny I know.. What in the world is a pinny??!!

You know, beer just doesn't taste so good to me anymore. But I do still drink wine--red. I also will have white russian. I get them though in a large glass w/lots of ice and I ask them to use 2% milk if they've got it. I watched one guy make me a white russian for me (tall, lots of ice) and I forgot to tell him NF or 2% milk. I almost fell off my barstool when I watched him pour in the half & half. --it was yummy though.

Some of my favorite things to say at work: Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. No, my powers can only be used for good. I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce. Ahh.. I see the f*-up fairy has visited us again. I will always cherish the the initial misconceptions I had about you.

What a great thread. Here's why. I need to be around for Sophie & be able to give her piggy-back rides, run after her in the park, go down the slide wth her, sit next to her on scary rides...the list could go on. Somebody said to me the other day that I seem so much happier and confident. I really never thought I had a confidence problem, but you know, I would have to say, I think my friend was right. Can't wait to see what the future holds.!

You brave woman you, best of luck and I can't wait to hear all the details. This is something I'm in the market for too! One doc I had a consult with wouldn't do both at the same time-Can't wait to hear how recovery goes!

Are there any smokers out there (yuk I know it is bad)
GrizGirl replied to karenj's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Smoker also. How's this for stupid?? I go to the gym before work. It's about a 35 minute drive there. I smoke two cigarettes before I go to the gym. I smoke about 8-10 total a day. Very rarely do I smoke when I get home from work and when I do it is always outside. The number of smokes per day directly correlates to traffic. I keep practicing quitting. Someday it will stick. -
Ms. Kup You are doing great--You'll be there in no time!

Too much Morning Restriction Anyone
GrizGirl replied to JAYGERL05's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ditto me since my last fill.. I do protein shakes in the morning. I've also found that since the last fill ice-cold drinks (ice water & the like) are a real no no. Any hint of a cold also will really tighten me up! -
I was going to post a scanned picture of my boobs, but they're too big to fit through the auto document feed of my scanner here at work and I bet the glass on the scanner is really cold.

What's up with WLS people & collar bones?
GrizGirl replied to Wheetsin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Having broken one of my collarbones twice (wierd thing-my twin sister has broken one of hers twice) I've always been kind of "aware of my collarbones) If memory serves, your collarbone is just about the most easily broken bones in your body--it snaps at something like 14 pounds of pressure. My collar bones look absolutely huge now that I've lost some weight. I don't mind the way they look, but they do look huge--I almost fainted when I saw my X-Rays of my knees (prior to knee surgery) I kept thinking how did they get that cow to stand still for an xray of it's leg?? -
Hold on --I've got two dresses borrowed from a friend that I can pass on. One is long black velvet, sleevless, round neck with a slit up the front--column style It is a size sixteen. You and I have just about the same stats--you are probably smaller in the boobs than me. I got tons of compliments on this dress.. Very comfy dress. I wore it to the companies Christmas party. The other is black with a full tafetta skirt. It has a black velvet top, sleevelss also. If you'd like, I can take some digital photos tonight and forward them on. Sal

Hi Everybody, After one year I finally changed my user name. I always felt kind of funny having my full name pop up. When I initially registered I didn't know that my username would also be my screen name. Anyhow, better late than never, I finally have my username changed. Still me! Thanks Sal
