    Awesome Salad Dressing

I am interested in the Costco turkey patties too. Can you further identify what kind you buy or the product code. Great protein count!
  3. I am surprised you are going to take ibuprofen. I thought NSAIDS were a no no after the surgery. I am seven weeks out and could use some for arthritis:). I was hurting on my left side too. My surgeon gave me ten mg of percocet that REALLY helped. As another poster said, the pain left after about three weeks. The surgeon said the left incision was the larger one and where they removed the stomach. You might want to try some over the counter antacid like Nexium--- of course only if okd by your Doc. Good Luck! You will feel better soon.
  4. I am 65 and had the surgery on 2/5/13. The pain after surgery was managable. After care is important. I had pain meds and nausea meds during surgery. I have not had nuasea or vomiting and seem to be able to tollerate most foods--haven't gone wild with trying new things. It did take over three weeks for the pain of surgery to deminish. The weight is coming off slowly-- only 32 pds down but considering the low side effects I have experienced I will take it. I was concerned about my recovery after reading some of the posts of younger people. Don't let a few years discourage you from surgery. Sent 3/21/13.

    Fatigue

I am almost four weeks out and am still tired. I am getting the fluids and the protein, for the most part, but still can't walk too far. I have been to the grocery store or to Costco but that is my BIg outing for the day. It might be my age---i'm 65. Pre op weight was 307. I have lost 24 pds (including pre op weight loss). I am on soft foods. I am afraid I will never get my energy back. any advice from someone farther down the road???

    Tired od sweet,sweet protein shakes

Thanks for all the good advice and support!
  8. Any suggestions for protein shake with veg or tomato base or stock. I am only on the pre op diet and my mouth is "crawling" from all the sweet. Thanks!
  9. I was to told be my surgeon that a Sleeve surgery was scheduled and Medicare would be billed to see if they would pay. Medicare will not pre approve surgery. I can't believe this hasn't already been done some where in Ca.
