    Hair loss!

I am 4 months out. I had sleeve into bypass. I can’t figure had to change weight yet on this site. I lost 50 pounds. I can’t believe the hair I am losing. I’m freaking going bald. Taking vitamins but 65 grams of protein a bit difficult for me. I get around 55. I can’t force the food. I talked with doc and they said it’s common to lose hair but he said it’s a lot. Try more protein. Ugh! So frustrated!

    Weight loss stall

Thanks so much for response. I have no choice but to go slow and easy! The docs asst. said I had to get down the two protein shakes a day and it’s not happening. I can do one. I am finding it a bit tough now because it seems like a high dairy diet. Of course I am lactose intolerant. Choices are limited. I weigh myself once a week. I did lose another 2 pounds. I’m not worried about the weight coming off. I know it will happen. I would love to get out more but it’s difficult with this schedule of eating. Today a bit sick to my stomach. This to shall pass.

    Weight loss stall

I am a month out now and I am happy I dropped 18 pounds but now it seems I am on a stall already. I am still not making protein or fluid requirements. I never drank 100 oz. A day of water in my life. I am so full I can’t seem to reach this 70 - 80 of protein. I am on foods well chewed now. I feel like every 21/2 hours drink then wait eat then wit drink shake. Nothing to drink a hour after you eat. There are not enough hours in the day! Ia week after my surgery I got Covid and my age it wasn’t easy. I am still out of sorts. Doc checked me and I’m ok. I need to do better. I just started walks and some bicycle. I am hoping my stamina gets better. If anyone has any tricks they do about how to manage better with foods, I would appreciate if you can share! Thanks so much!

Hard to eat 6 days out

I will try but I thought the liquid IV would have enough salt but will try! Thanks.
  7. Gastric bypass revision from sleeve. I am doing liquid IV and trying the best I can to drink shakes and eat mush food. Not working out well. I am drinking. Still nausea. Is this the usual for a lot or am I in a bit of trouble. I was at er for urinary issue and they did scan said all looked good. Still going every ten minutes and just a little comes out. I guess it’s time to call doc. It’s a bit overwhelming. Praying for best outcome
  8. Had my revision to gastric bypass two days ago. I did so well they let me go home yesterday. Today is a different story. The pain has definitely increased and I am having trouble urinating. It trickles out of me and not a lot. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks so much!
  9. Thanks so much! I am on a Vegan Shake and using some almond milk with no sugar added. I have slowed down on veggies and fruit. Apparently someone didn’t put on my chart that I suffer from IBS. Then nutritionist is calling me on Tuesday to help with a diet that’s is more manageable for me. I was told that My IBS could get better or worse. I read the Bariatric Bible they gave me and it is in there. I pray for the better scenario. They told me if I have any doubts then I shouldn't do it. It’s not that I have doubts, I’m scared of any surgery! I am nervous and I feel it would be favorable if one hear some positive. That’s why I am on here. I am hoping I hear the positive. I hate drama. I realize that it will be very difficult recovery. I don’t know how many days I will be in pain. They want me walking 20 min 3 times a day. I can do 10 minutes and I will work my way up. I think they do this liver cleanse for the purpose to make surgery easier but to show us this is your new way of life. When I look at phase 2 it’s not as much dairy, fruit and veggies they are requiring now. I am almost there I have today and tomorrow. Then clear liquids on Tuesday. My surgery Wednesday. I am giving it all to God! Thanks for all who reached out!
  10. Well I am suffering from wicked gerd! I heard same but I do believe it what one puts into it. It’s a tool not a miracle. I will work at my goal and whatever it is then that’s what it is. I look at life as I’m sitting on the fence and if I fall into a pile of hay well I’m blessed, if I fall into a pile of crap well guess I gotta get cleaned up and try again! Lol
  11. I have 4 shakes a day plus yogurt 4 ounces of a protein all of these with 4 ounces of fruit or veggie. Way too much for me.
  12. My gastric bypass is 2/21. I had a sleeve back in 2012. I gained weight back except that golden 25 I like to say not a total failure but not feeling great about it. I still do not have a large appetite but it was wrong choices. I been through breast cancer and I have reached a place in my life where I have had enough of self harming as I say. The surgeon puts me on pre op diet for Two weeks. I am having a bit of trouble with all the fruits and veggies. I have IBS. I stated this from beginning to all. Today I get the poops badly and called office to see if I can take imodium. I told them I was having a tough time with to much fiber. They say well if you can’t handle it you may become mal nourished from bypass. I’m like wtf. We would like you and your hubby to come in Tuesday a day before my surgery to ask any questions you may have and then a decision will be made to go forward or not. I’m saying the decision was made already. You never had an ibs patient before. In a way I think there being careful and in a way why now? I gotta be on a liquid diet only on Tuesday. Now I feel is this going to be to much for me. I don’t want to stay fat. Maybe try on my own. I went to class I did everything that I was suppose to do but I can’t help if my tummy get sick if it’s just to much fiber. It’s like 20oz of fruit and veggies combined a day. All advice is welcomed

    Pre opt vitamins

    Thanks Cat Woman
  14. Hi Everyone! I am suppose to be taking a pre opt multi vitamin with minerals 2 weeks before surgery. Then it says on same sheet at bottom stop taking vitamin E. Well everything has freaking vitamin E in it. I’m going crazy and my surgery is suppose to be on 21st. I may have to postpone because of this. I’m still taking my multi vitamin that has E in it. Just doesn’t make sense. Can anyone share what pre opt brand of multi vitamin they took before gastric bypass? Thanks so much!
  15. Just wondering how many have taken antibiotics and did okay! I am 5 months out and started taking Doxycyclene! I have an infection! I am taking capsule, just wondering if I should have asked for liquid form! Any input will be appreciated!
