  1. Just wondering what everyones experience was like. How much & what did you drink? Did you feel more inebriated than you would have before surgery? How long after surgery did you have your first drink? I'm only 13days post op but I'd really like to have some wine at a wedding in september....I haven't asked my doc how long I have to wait before drinking yet.

    Post Op Pain Killer

I was in severe pain in the hospital after surgery but I also had a 3cm hiatal hernia repair and they took out my gallbladder. They gave me iv dilaudid every 2 hrs. They offered me percosett to take home but i've had bad experiences in the past so I asked for vicodin. Vicodin is like a horse pill, so they had me cut it into 4 small pieces and swallow each. You can also crush some pain pills and mix them with applesauce, depending on what it is.

    Major Cheat On Pre-Op Diet

I had one of those frozen pizzas and 4 chicken nuggets 2 days before surgery, followed the pre-op diet for 2 weeks but added more meat than they told me and my liver still shrunk enough. You'll be okay.
  18. Hi, my name is Samantha and i'm getting my sleeve july 30th. I am shocked at what an amazing source of information this forum is and am excited to be part of it. My biggest issue right now is the pre-op Protein shakes, what was your favorite? I tried Bariatric Advantage so far and i couldn't finish it, it was gross.
