Real food, woohooo! Happy Birthday Cindy, I hope you had a special day!

Thanks for sharing the picture, the little one has your smile. Thank goodness for that "slight unfill" huh? I remember the month I was over filled and miserable, that was the best feeling to get a little taken out. I'll be a year in a couple of weeks and I'm only at 1/2 of my 4cc band. Keep up the good work.

Killer Acid Reflux-after My Fill
HarleyNana replied to Mariposa Bella's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You're right Paula, actually, I take Tums for the indigestion, NOT for reflux. -
Pepsi, hope you're having a better day today.

My mom who is also banded eats bread, she had gravy over a biscuit for lunch the other day, I almost choked just thinking about eating bread. I haven't had bread since I was banded, boy would a great big juicy cheeseburger be good. Sometimes I want to go to the doctor and have my fill taken out for 24 hours so I can enjoy food like I use to, but then I would never do that, hummmm, maybe over Thanksgiving, LOL. Soup is my biggest companion now. Speaking of which, has anyone tried that new package at costco, it's three boxes of soup, ready to pour, then after opening it keeps in the fridge for a while, like a mini milk carton.

Killer Acid Reflux-after My Fill

I use Tums, the quick dissolve, they're the bomb for relief. -
Hey gang, thanks for the nice words about my little cutie grandson, he's a mess. Talk about eating out, I'm as excited as a bug in a rug when I go anywhere that has the soup and salad combo, and even more so if it's the bottomless bowl of soup. Eileen, did you ever try any of those mashed taters by Country Crock? My heart goes out to all the single parents in the world, it's tough enough with two active parents. (Thank goodness mine are grown, but just because they're grown doesn't mean you're worry free)

You can have sf Jello, sf popcicles. I had the broth from wonton Soup, I ate egg drop soup, sf hard candy, and I chewed on small ice cubes. The beef should have gone down no problem because you don't have a fill yet, but the problem is your tummy has to work to digest the beef and it's suppose to be healing. I was on mushies on my 13th day, I cheated a day, but i took it slow and easy. YOU CAN DO IT, you've had the surgery, that's half the battle, hang in there!

Rene, he really does sound like a keeper.

I eat those low fat Pringles, I just don't eat the entire container at one time anymore. I buy soy chips and put Peanut Butter on them, yummm, lots of Protein and good too. I keep my Calcium and Vitamin chocolate squares (by Vita somebody), in the candy dish so I'll remember to grab those for that sweet fix.

Pictures, I love pictures. Have fun. -
I heard that on the Today Show this AM. I've been drinking Maxwell House, Lite, 1/2 n 1/2, hummm, maybe that' my culprit, LOL.

If any of you are interested in a free puppy let me know. My neighbor has a puppy that he's giving away for free. It's a small dachshund, very cute, and great with kids. He's getting rid of it because his wife says it 'stares' at her, and it gives her the 'heebee jeebies'. Here's a picture of the dog. If you're interested, or know someone who is, let me know.

Congratulations and good luck on your journey.

Refried Beans w/ sour cream Refried beans w/ sour cream Refried beans w/ sour cream and chili I'd go to Taco Bell, order the refried beans and sour cream, then a regular taco, then I'd empty the contents of the taco into the refried beans, stir and yummm.

Thanksgiving..Food Network....Excitment
HarleyNana replied to Teresita's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well it was worth a try, LMAO. It probably wouldn't have been so juicy if I'd taken that little bag out that was stored on the inside of it. Chit went everywhere. -
Best of luck to you, but I don't know what I'd do without my LBT family. I feel like I know so many of the members here personally and that people really care about you here. I wish you well.

Looks like a good menu to me, although, I'd like to try something a little out of the ordinary this year. We're all taking a dish to my son's house, I got stuck with the turkey, so I'm taking it to a local BBQ restaurant that makes their own BBQ and having them cook it. (last time I cooked one in the microwave I had the biggest mess). -
I had the port pain off and on, as I think most do, during the healing process, but I never saw any black dots. Like Trish said, might want to phone the doctors office and be sure all is well.

how can i prepare and WHAT kind of protein is good without dairy?
HarleyNana replied to ROGER-FL's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I survived without dairy, I HATE milk, although, I can drink milkshakes, LOL. I used eggdrop soup for my liquid stage to get in protein, and I did use milkshakes for protein too. After all, I was healing, LOL. -
Good morning everyone, hope you have a wonderful day. Betty, check out my grandson's little Harley... masonharley2.BMP

Your surgery sounds like mine. I was more tender than in pain, although, I did have pain in the left shoulder for weeks. Good luck with your new friend.
-
So sorry to hear you went through all of that and ended up without the band. I would suggest a second opinion. Good Luck! PS, I'll ask my doctor the next time I visit if he's ever heard of that happening.

That stuff just does not look even the least bit comfy to me. Did you see the cami with the thing under the armpit, ouch. I'd feel like I was in a vice.
