Hey, Eileen, what about a Virginia gal? I love those detailed cooking directions and pictures of the "equipment" needed. I plan on making a trial batch on Wednesday.

I got a message that said the site wasn't working, boohoo. -
Sorry your DH couldn't handle the excitement of a new you. Fortunately, you have a new friend, maybe not a lover, but your band will help you through this time as well as the gang here.
-
Kathy, I had to retype everything, when I pasted it, the print went crazy, and all the columns disappeared, lol.

I've been invited to a gathering of ladies and we're each to bring 6 dozen home made Christmas Cookies. The contest part is the presentation and of course the best tasting cookie. I've never made cookies from scratch, EVER. I need ideas and recipes, then again, I'm sure all LBT members would probably enjoy sharing and trying the recipes. Would love any suggestions for an unusual presentation as well. Come on ladies, I know this is a natural for most of you, but for me, it's a challenge. Anyone ever heard of a praline Christmas cookie?

What Foods Have Caused You to PB?
HarleyNana replied to amiefletch's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
PB, productive burp, often accompanied by slime, covering partially digested food. -
I figured item #1 was beef, I've heard stuff like steak takes days to break down. Makes sense that it would keep you full longer too. Chips disappear entirely too quickly.
-
Sorry about your gma, have a safe trip.

I'm almost a year and I still have left shoulder pain, which I never had prior to surgery. I guess if that gas bubble can't go down or out, it's gonna float to the top, LOL.
-
I forgot to add I'm a little selfish, my friend pointed out to my DH one day, "Look, Pat's had this surgery so she'd look good for you", I said, "Sorry to burst anybody's bubble, but I did this for ME, no offense, but for once I did something for me!" I'm starting to like me much better too.
-
That was my little boy one, this is the little girl one, then I've done one that was pink and blue for twins.

I was tired of fighting and losing the weight war. I'd been on a diet all my life and was still the f word, (fat). I was also tired of always being the heaviest person at any function I went to, be it a family gathering or a Harley ralley, or social event, I always felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb. I love my band!

Comments for Before and After Pictures
HarleyNana replied to DeLarla's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks Jamie, I feel younger! Vera's such a sexy thang. -
When those scales aren't moving it gets so discouraging, but everytime I got stuck I had gained muscle, which is suppose to be a good thing. Eileen, I'll have to go look for the collar bone, LOL. I think the before picture is just so horrible it would make anyone look great, but thank you and everyone so much. I was so touched by everyone's remarks I called my DH into my study and had him read the notes. Oh yeah, what is more sinful than food????? Cindy, we're gonna start calling you Ebay Mama.

Ok gals, I'm making my shopping list for my trial cookie bake. Top of the list, a rolling pin,a cookie sheet, and tons of ingredients. Shortning, does that mean like lard, Crisco in a can?
-
LMAO Kathy, I thought you meant you had a nose boogie.

And the Fall Challenge Winner Is...
HarleyNana replied to the best me's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Kerri, you have the prettiest lips. -
Well it's not art, but I guess it's a craft, maybe VQ is right, a type of art, you all decide. (I warned you all that you'd be sorry if I ever figured out how to use the picture attachment thingy).
-
Boohoo, I can't wear silver, anybody know of a site that's got good 14k prices? If it's not 14k then I'll breakout like I've got hives.
-
Welcome to bandland and good luck on your journey.

I missed this first time around, boy do I need the purse size, LOL. I about freaked out when I saw the "Blossom" post, I so miss her. I'll be thinking of Philip during this holiday season, as I do often through out the year.

Good Morning Betty, I was wondering where you were hiding. I look forward to seeing the picture of your nephew. Ira, I must have not read that thread either with the "chip". Eileen you'll do fine with the solids, just remember small bites and think of the train, CHEW CHEW CHEW, lol. (Use a baby spoon if in doubt of bite sizes). Beanie, Cindy, Patty, Zan have a great safe day.
