You've got one of the hardest parts behind you, now you can focus on your son and your future. Good luck!

Thanks VQ, reality check going on here.

I ate something either too fast or not chewed well enough at lunch today, while out with three other people, excused myself three times to the ladies room, thought I was going to pb (which in my case stands for puked back), like it was coming from my big toe. Needless to say, all I could think of is.... I'm next.
-
Thinking of you all, hope your recovery is quick.

Print your own card. http://www.inamed.com/pdf/health/94832C_LB_Patient_Card.pdf.....

Quite interesting, though, I've never really thought about it that intensely, it was very enlightening.

Lisa, thanks for sharing, and yes, if you want the truth, (most of the time), ask a child. She sounds like a caring and thoughtful little girl who loves her mommie very, very much. You weren't rambling, you needed someone to share that with and that's what's so wonderful about the members of LBT...(hugs)

Welcome to LBT and I wish you the best on your WLS journey.

Jax, it seems we're all at some type of risk with the band, but then life is a risk of sorts. I wish you the best, continue being a good bandster, otherwise, you may not have made it this long, keep up the good attitude.

Question about non-adjustable gastric banding
HarleyNana replied to Cemalmar's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
When I talked to my doctor last week about the "erosion" issues on LBT, he mentioned he had removed two of the Melina bands, but had not had any problems with the Inmeds. -
OMG Eileen, you're too funny. If the being rebanded was not an option, I think I'd first try to maintain what I've lost, then try to continue with my improved eating habits, (since banding), such as no bread, and very little red meat. I surely hope I don't have to make that decision any time soon.

Where are the happy bandsters?
HarleyNana replied to tomorrowsdream's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
VQ, that's dedication, I had to laugh at the way you put it, but it all boils down to the fact we want our band. -
I was wondering where you've been Ms. Karen. I hope things heal up for you really fast. Your DH has had a lot things going on this year too. Take care, hugs!

Eileen, where is Beanie? Wasn't she going on vacation? I got all my Santas out yesterday, my tree lady is suppose to be here at 10 this am to take care of the tree and stair railings. She works for a local, large florist and has probably put up 100 trees in the past month. My tree's only a three years old, but I'm ready for a new one, I want one of those that's "flocked", that looks like it's got snow on the tips. I haven't left the house, other than going to son's house for Turkey day. Starting to get cabin fever now.

I wish you all the very best, please give us an update as soon as you're up to it. Hugs and God Bless!

Cindy, I keep a bottle of Tums, the quick dissolve in my nightstand and usually grab two every night before turning the tv off. Sure as I don't take one, I get the chest thing going on. Plus, they're like taking extra Calcium and we all need that. I've got the small band too, I've been at 2cc for several months now. On the other hand, I know a bandster who has the 10 and she's at 8.5 now and was banded in July or Aug.

Congratulations on making it through the surgery, LOL, and welcome to bandland. Good luck on your journey.

Oh Cindy, she reminds me sooo much of my Granny, same precious smile. May your memories of great times shared help you through these times.

I'm a tummy sleeper, I think about it every night when I turn over, just for a second, I wonder if I just flipped anything inside, LOL.
-
I only get that if it's too large of a bite. I get the slime if I didn't chew enough. I'd rather have the slime any day than that golf ball stuck in the chest feeling. Hope you're feeling better today.

Help, if anyone gets their hands on an extra Xbox 360, please let me know. My Grandson's mom thought I had put it on a preorder, and I thought she did, guess what we neither did. That's all he asked for for Christmas so, if you get one I'll gladly pay shipping and what ever you feel is a fair markup. Thanks

Thanks Nana, I'm headed to Amazon.

I remember right after surgery, I had no idea which one was the port. The one I thought was the band, the largest one, smack in the middle of my "waist" to the right is my port. Actually, the port rests a little above that scar.

Cindy, I'm so sorry about your grandma, but I know you're right. My gma was 94 when she died and she was in perfect health, mentally, she was sharp as a tack, but she had Osteoporosis, a couple of years prior she had broken a hip and she suffered so much with the physical therapy, she told me then she'd never go through this again. She was leaving a restaurant, standing at the door and her hip just snapped, she died within 24 hours, she was not going to go through that again, she was done! She didn't have the will to live through that pain. Sooo, ladies, be sure to stay on top of having your bone density test done when you reach the age of 40-50 (Cindy) and take your calcium every day, it's so important. Of course, I haven't taken my Fosamax in over a month, bad me. I wish we all lived close too just so we could meet and share stories, that cooking stuff's for the birds, I'd rather clean up the mess. Got to go start putting my Santa's on display, the tree lady comes tomorrow and I want to have all the other stuff done. Eileen, my housekeeper, who is the best cook I've ever met, was putting my Pampered Chef decorating kit away and wanted to know what I'd used it for. When I told her I thought it was a cookie press, I thought she was gonna wet her pants laughing so hard. Then I showed her the cookies, then she started laughing all over again, good thing she's a dear friend, or I would have had to pull a Trump on her and said, "You're fired", LOL. Then I showed her my beautiful deviled eggs and told her I used my decorator to squirt the filling, she was impressed, and she said they tasted good. Betty, we're almost out of left overs, what ya got? Ok, get the camera out, I want to see those decorations when you get them all done, Zan, Patty, Ira, Beanie, the rest of ya, lets see them.

When I was at the 2 week stage I was going into the mushy stage, but every doctor has different rules. I'm sure your doctor gave your some guide lines as well. Also check out the food section on LBT, you'll fine tons of wonderful ideas. Good luck and welcome to LBT
