Paula, where have you been? Here in VA, that's a big seller at the Red Lobster restaurants, baked in a bag, yumm. It's sweeter than Flounder to me. Most of the local grocery stores here carry it in their seafood dept. It's one of the few fish I can keep down, LOL.

Eileen, Dec 31, I bought the Lexus GX 470, but my other car, before the GX was the larger of the two, the LX 470. I had that car for 6 years, so I keep a vehicle a long time, (well usually). I drove that thing for 3 weeks, called my DH while he was in Fla, on a golf trip and said, jokingly, I called Ken at Lexus and told him I wasn't happy with this vehicle and he's looking for LX 470 for me. Waiting to hear all hell break loose, he said, "well if you don't like it, trade it now before you get too many miles on it", so then, I actually did call the salesman, LOL. Anyhooo he found an LX, pearl white, fully loaded, the nav system and the back up camera, which is really sweet, specially when you're backing into a parking spot or the garage, but he had to order the DVD players for the headsets. Now they're in and I'm good to go for hopefully another 6 years. If you're squeamish about needles, have your doctor prescribe some of that topical stuff you put on that numbs the belly before you go, that's what I got, makes the fills much easier, not only am I spoiled, I'm such a wusssssss. You're so smart, I wouldn't have thought of that and I don't think it's gross. Yuk, I'd hate to think of what mine looks like with all the food hung up around it, LOL.

That's what I use and they help fill that chocolate fix too.

I could have come home the same day too, but I was my doctor's first lapband patient, so at the time I was glad I stayed. I wish you a speedy recovery. Oh yeah, that egg drop Soup sure helps once the hunger starts, just puree it and it'll go right down. (My doctor said I could have anything that would go through a straw, you wouldn't believe what I could get through a straw, but don't use a straw to eat/drink with). Sherry are you getting nervous yet, if so, don't, you'll be fine. Anne, Zan, Ira, Patty, and anyone else I missed have a blessed day. Gosh catching up takes up so much space, I have new drama at work, I'll catch yall up on that later, and I got another new car, I'm so spoiled.

Congratulations Rene, welcome to bandland! Your surgery, including the early AM schedule and pain level sounds so similiar to mine. Happy to hear you're doing so well.

It depends on the cost of the warranty. Knowing me, I'd give it a shot, I have extended warranties on my plasma televisions, my new Canon Rebel, my washer and dryer, 2yrs old, and another 2 years of warranty to go. All the kitchen appliances had extended warranties, yeah, I'm a chump for peace of mind, LOL.

I've been stuck at the same weight for a few months, within a pound or two, BUT, I did have a 4 lb loss this week, which means, if you add the lbs I've gained and lost that 4 lbs gave me a 1/2 of new weight loss. I'll take it gladly, LOL.

OMG Kim, sorry about your FIL, prayers have already been answered that he survived such a crash. The healing will be long and painful I'm sure. Girl, you sure have your share of trials and tribulations. Hugs to ya.

I agree with Paula about the local support group. Although, I'd be lost without my LBT friends and support, it would be nice to gather with others once a month. I've thought about hosting a meeting at my house for the local banders in my area, there's probably about 30 or so now. That way we could all meet and compare notes and I could tell them about LBT and the support I've found here. This summer I'd love to meet you NC ladies when I'm in Nags Head, OBX, my place would be a great place to meet, plenty of ocean and sunshine.

I'd like to know the the pain level too, I'm seriously considering another boob job and tummy tuck myself. Had a reduction 25 years ago, time for another reduction and lift, also had a mini tummy tuck done 15 years ago, now that was painful, all those tubes, yuk. Heck since I'm already gonna be in massive pain, I may as well get the eye lids done too. Would be nice to know how much ya paid too. I don't have a clue yet as to the cost for both together, $$$$$$$ I'm sure.

I've had my band over a year and only 2cc in a 4cc band. Being too tight is not only unhealthy, it's miserable.

I'm sorry to hear you and your children are being treated this way. After 10.5 years it's not like you didn't give it your best shot. Everything happens for a reason (so I've always heard). Hugs!

Erosion may happen to me tomorrow, if so, I will be in the minority. I agree we have to look at the over all picture, the amount of lapbands multiplies every day, so obviously complication rates will increase as well. My $.02 worth.

Jenna, I need to keep a copy of that pic to show my plastic surgeon what I've got in mind. One thing about it won't have to have any added, just put back where they belong.
