OK, Ms Signgirl, where are you? You've been lurking, now get your butt in here ... :car: Everyone is looking forward to meeting you.
-
Janine, when you go for the fill, it will probably depend on how much weight you've lost, in what length of time. If you're losing steadily, then NP may not think you need a fill. But if you feel you do, then insist on a smidgen. The first year, since I was self-pay, my fills were included, but not anymore :car: Good luck !

Spider WEBS, yikes, everytime I walk through one, I can just feel a spider crawling on me for hours, and this time of year, we have those huge ones with the bright yellow stripes, I'm shivering thinking about it. What's in the Water and what's in the dark. My grandmother use to say, if you knew what was lurking in the water or in the darkness, you'd never go into either one!

Kat I thought I had read earlier there was a problem with the thyroid results. Please let us know the results as soon as you have them.. Hugs!

Gina, don't know if the picture will show up or not, but I'll give it a try. I'll PM you with my phone number. As for stats, haven't really kept up with the fills, the only stat I keep up with is my size and how I feel, so... I feel GREAT, and I wear a 12 in some things, others a 14, as for tops, still got the big boobs, so it's usually a room XL or a 1X that hangs off the shoulders. The picture I'm going to attempt to attach, the top is too big now and sort of hangs. As for my weight, couldn't tell you, as long as the new size still fits, that's all that matters, the weight is just a number .

Thanks for the thorough explanation, I'm sooo sooo sorry you've had to go through this. Yikes, every time I can eat too much I'll think of this, but in the same note, I do plan to make taking care of my band more of a conscious effort. Hugs and thanks again for sharing your story.

MBZ, your story is my biggest fear with my band. It's a wake up call I need to cut out the bad choices and show more respect to my band. Did you EVER have any previous issues or did it just kind of happen over night? What were your symptoms?
-
OK, it's Saturday, where is everyone? Am I the only one sitting around, being a computer potato today? I'm just enjoying my home alone time, hubby's on a golf trip, woohoo.

Living with the band long-term---what now?
HarleyNana replied to NCMom07's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Very good advice Julie. It was an easy habit for me to break after banding, otherwise, I'd be spitting everywhere, LOL. -
Brenda, I've never heard it explained that way, but it does make sense, which is one of the reasons I haven't had a soda in almost three years, (tooting my own horn a little). Plus I remember all the things Coke products do, like cleaning acid off batteries, tenderizing meat, cleaning the toilet, just to name a few. Better off to stay away from the sodas.

WooHoo, side of page ads gone!
HarleyNana replied to faithmd's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I'm glad they're gone too, the girl at the top reminds me of Rachael Ray, so I don't really mind her. With all the ads, I was beginning to think we'd been sold out, because it seems right after I've been to LBT, I get a lot more spam....gee Mr. Alex I hope you wouldn't do that to use -
Not what you're gonna wanna hear, but your body is probably dehydrated and is craving Fluid more than food. I've been where you are and and it will pass and the rewards will be worth this time of head games. Hugs

Means solid as a "brick" where I come from, which IMO, is a good thing, (as Martha would say).

Where is your port?
HarleyNana replied to georgia girl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Right side, just above the waist, but my scar is in my waist line, I think it floated...just kidding. -
Pre-op Lap Band Shopping List

Sorry folks, but I can't even imagine or do a visual of using tongs to wipe my a$$. -
Does anyone else have weird band related dreams or nightmares?
HarleyNana replied to BRANDYK's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've never had a dream about my band, but in my first couple of years, every time I flipped over or rolled around in the bed, I always wondered if I'd just ripped my tube from my port, LOL. It's still attached, so it must be sewn in pretty well...way to go Dr T. -
Sherry, that was an awesome post, I'm gonna give you a call in a little bit.
-
I too was self pay, and I just told a soon to be banded member that I'd do it again in a heart beat! No regrets here.....yet, Dec will be 3 years for me, and I DO worry about losing my band.
-
Not me, but then I have very thick hair. IMO, lots of protein is the prevention of major hair loss. I've heard, (which may be mentioned in prev posts, didn't read them all), that any time you're put to sleep you lose a little hair.

Oh yeah, loved the castle and I like the fireworks too. Bet DW is a "hoot" during the Halloween season.

Awww, Sherry, thanks so much for FINALLY sharing...(big smile). TATTOO, OMG, I had to go back and look, I thought it was part of your shorts. That's not a tattoo, that's a freakin tapestry rapped around your let, LMAO!

Speaking of getting together, Signgirl and I met Thursday, then spent Friday morning sitting on my deck in KDH, watching the ocean and yes, discussing Lapband and Lapband talk. Then we had lunch at Awful Arthurs, all of you OuterBanks folks know about the seafood at Arthurs! I'm ready for an OBX bander weekend. Come on NJ girls, y'all can meet with us, what a time we'd have.

Hey Eileenie, I'm here too :car:, it does look like the old gang. I just got back from a quick trip to the beach, the weather was perfect! I was so excited, I not only spoke with, but met in person, "signgirl". She's to be banded October 31. I've invited her to join in our NJ family thread. You will all love her, she's sweet, funny, and personable...just like ME :biggrin1:. Wow, so much has gone on here in the NJ thread, more chatter in the last 24 hours than has been on here in a month. Eileenie, so sorry you got the snots, :sick , last Sunday, I was wore slam out from keep the gbaby, I couldn't wait for it to get dark, finally went to bed before it did, so I know the feeling. Donna, what a nice surprise to see your return, like Eileen said, we were all concerned about you. Darcy, your DD is so pretty, just like her mommy, did they let you take your laptop into court, so you could work on your POGO badge :Banane20: . On a serious note, glad things worked out for you both. Cindy, so what are you doing with all your spare time,......wondering how you ever got it all done before I'll bet. Kat, you've had a time lately, oh and about Rick having to pay, yeppers, I've heard that before, once he stepped up to the plate, it's a done deal for 18 years so I hear. Hope he has a positive relationship with her. Sherry baby, where are the pictures you were going to post from your Disney trip, still waiting, , bringem on girl. Mandy, Ms. Disney that is, love the pictures of you and DD, I know you're bound to have some of Crispy and Sherry you could share with us too. (I'm gonna feel like a real dummy if you've already posted them :omg: and I missed them) Betty, glad you've got the AC back in your life, at my age and being in the post Mentalpausal state, I'd have probably had to get a hotel room, LOL. Patty, Jetti, everyone else, hope you're well, Hugs girlfriends !

I've never heard of washing the walls, although, it does make sense if smokers are involved, otherwise, I think I'd skip that step I tried painting once and found out my hands were too small, the paint brush just didn't fit, hahaha!

You Jersey girls gotta quit doing all that laundry and cleaning and taking care of hubbies, sheesh, you're wearing me out. #1, that's what they have maids and housekeepers for, even if it's just every now and then, pamper yourself, you deserve it, ESPECIALLY, if you're working, wth, even if you don't work #2, well, there is no #2, men just don't get it, they don't pick up after themselves and they don't help do much but make our lives busier. Just My Opinion, my hubby's been gone since Tues at 5:00 in the AM, oh my gosh, a week of bliss, got home last night at 10:45, already done two loads of laundry, LBO. Hugs to you all!
