GM girls, Eileenie, I got my mom a coat and a food saver thingy. I have one and love it. It tenderizes a steak in 15 minutes. I poke holes in the steak, lather it with A1, Heinz 57, meat tenderizer, raspberry vinaigrette dressing, flip it a couple of times, then I put it in a special accessory that I purchased separately, suck the air out and you can see the meat lift and pull the flavors through. Then I wait about 15 minutes, sometimes I'll do a couple of steaks and leave one over night and fix it a few days later. My steaks have been fab every since I started using it. Patty, I hope 2008 is better for you too, so sad about your friend. Betty, hope you're feeling better, at least check your emails, lol. Kat, your hubby is crazy! Sherry, lets see pictures of the tree please. I'm going to install my new photo software so I can re-size some pictures to share. Happy Bday Diane Mandy, love the bday pics, I think he is so HOTTT. Diane, Signgirl where are you? Jess, I'm lmao, nothing like wrapping all day, then having to come home and wrap your own stuff. I had my girls at the office wrap most of my stuff, then had to unwrap half of it because they put stickies on them with what was inside, then the stickies came off when they shoved everything in a huge bag...errr! Well kiddies, gotta get on the move, gotta run to Penney's this AM to get a new coffee pot for the cottage. Since it's supposed to be 72, hubby wants to take me to the beach house for a couple of days, AND, help me with some shopping. He's up to something, hmmmm, he hates to shop, LOL.

Hey Betty, is it like a pulling/tight feeling? I have that even now 3 years later. I think sometimes mine is triggered by the way I sleep or activities of the day, lifting things, tugging on things, picking up the grandbaby, etc. If it's a sharp, stabbing pain, don't hesitate to call your doctor, or check with him on your next visit and share your concerns with him/her.

Mamato3 congratulations on the approval! I understand your excitement, I couldn't wait for my turn. I'm not sure if you've already read this, but I was Dr. Terracina's first lapband patient. Good Luck Cheryl, 2.5 on the bridge, I hate booking a flight from Norfolk, we have to leave so early just in case the tunnel is tied up. Sorry you missed the appointment, I need to make a appointment for my 3 year check up, gosh time flies

Good Morning Gals, Guess what I was doing three years ago today, getting my band put in . Hard to believe it's been three years. Trying to do some online Christmas shopping today, so not in the mood, maybe if I had some of that snow, LOL. Have a great day everyone.

We did Disney one year during Christmas/New Years, it was awful, so packed my kids who were 12 & 16 at the time said, can we leave now! Later girlies!

Hey Gal Pals! Had my appointment with plastic surgeon yesterday, I chickened out for Dec 3, moved to Jan 14 We discussed implants, he said he preferred not to, but would consider it, but the one he showed me was huge, I told him I would let him make the judgement call during/at surgery, if he didn't feel he could give me the proper lift or fullness that I'm looking for with my own fat and breast tissue, that he would have my authorization to do the implants, but I'm probably going to tell him def not when I go back for my EKG and blood work. I like the fact he prefers not to use them on me, because he said the implants are a "lifetime" commitment, whatever that means, I guess the massaging and the possibility they could leak. He showed me a silicone one, which feels really natural and a saline one, which if IT, the saline one, leaked, the body would absorb it and pee it out, whereas the silicone one would be trapped in the body and cause a lump, so I've pretty much changed my mind on letting him do the implants....will do just the reduction and lift, heaven knows he has lots to work with . Getting ready to plan a trip for Cancun, anyone been there? Any suggestions? Anne, I'll send my guys if you'll come put my tree up....deal?

I know the feeling Lisa, I have a group I hang out with on the NJ Chat, very few are from Jersey, but a great bunch of ladies hang out there. Stop in there too

Jetti, I lived on Tuna salad from Wawa and TacoBell refried beans, both very high in protein. I also did sausage gravy from our local fast food store..Hardees. I don't do the gravy now, but it surely was good back then. Well off to get ready for my PS appt today Later

Good Morning Ladies, Lisa you sound as excited about your band as I was and still am Cheryl, sounds like your heart is in the right place, now if your ins company will just come through, I'm pulling for you. Hey Diane, where are you? Gr8, what's up?
-
Good Morning Gals, Chrispy, I'm so very happy for you! You deserve a good man. Cindy, yes, we have all the decorating done, inside and out, will have pictures soon, EXCEPT the tree, I have a lady coming Sunday to put it up, if I don't decide to tackle it myself. As for DH spoiling you, I'm sure you deserve every bit of it . Sherry, talk about overboard, hubby even hung lights around the pool fence, crazy, but it does brighten the back yard and it's a beautiful view from the water. Betty, Congrats on the trophy. Is that a new bike? Pictures please. Diane, when is the fill, did I miss it? Gotta get some shopping done today, catch y'all later.

I had Mamsi at the time of my surgery, when I contacted them, they said any type of weight loss surgery was NOT covered in my plan. I hope your plan does not have that exclusion. Who will be doing your surgery? Dr. Terracina did mine almost three years ago Stop in anytime and good luck on getting that approval. By the way....I love my band.

Hey guys, looking for suggestions for a name for our new boat. We've got to let our broker know before the documentation is completed or there will be an extra charge. What do you think of Liquid Asset ? Thanks, Pat My son's boat is named "gettem wet"

Duhhh me, that's what I get for reading too fast, or at least not reading well enough, LOL. I do have a Harley, but I haven't riden in two years, it doesn't come natural to me, plus it's a huge Heritage Softtail Springer, very heavy front end. I didn't start riding until I was 47, a grandma at that. Thanks for getting me straight.

did anyone that had to pay a 20% copay on surgery
HarleyNana replied to jamietindall19's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was self pay, and it was all due before the surgery. Hospitals will generally work with you, but you should get with their finance office before the surgery, to avoid the stress afterwards. -
Hi welcome aboard the VA site. I have to admit I'm not sure where Berryville is, but I love the name. Sounds like you and your band are doing great, I didn't have my third fill until I was about 8 months out. I have the smaller band, probably at 2.6 now. I know I'm due for a fill, but I like where I am now, able to eat a larger variety, but helps control the volume. Take care. PS OK, I'm confused, you signed Lisa, but said your name was Cathy. __________________

Good Morning Gal Pals! Cindy, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Whatcha planned, better yet, what does Steve have planned, hehehe. Ok we've got to get in sync here, I'm on here off and on Thurs and Friday, hardly any posts, I miss yesterday and now I can't catch up, LOL. Diane, don't worry about the few pounds, that fill will make a big diff. Are you still on mushies, are you getting your protein in, (I don't mean those early day cocktails either), are you drinking liquids, (see earlier statement), too soon after you eat and washing your food through? Just some "food" for thought. Sherry, every time I read about you and your bodybugg, I think hmmmmm, maybe I should, but I know me and it would just be a phase. So happy yours is helping you and your band Eileenie, u so crazy girl! That's why I luv you so much. I hate scales, I weighed the other day and was at my lowest wl, then boom yesterday and it's all back, ERRRRRR. Back to weighing once every couple of months, too dang depressing. Kat, since you're bored, I wish you were in my neighborhood, you could help me put my tree up. I got all my Santa's up yesterday, now for the tree. I swore when I put those things up last year I wasn't going to do it again this year, but hubby said it wouldn't be the same without them. Got my banister done, now that does look awesome I have to say. Speaking of corn, did I mention I had chili the other day with corn in it and it was debomb! Mandy, I think that's a great idea about the gifts too, I hate it when I give a gift card and ppl use it for groceries. My employees prefer good old "green". I can't remember if it was Mandy that had my name one year, but I got a CD of love songs and some candles and that was nice. Gina, as for guy gifts, I don't know how much you planned on spending, but you can find a lot of guy gadgets this time of year, cheap @ JCP and Macy's and Belk. I bought several digital photo key chains, that I plan to download pics prior to giving. With all my discounts I got them for like $12.00 each at Belk, but that was the 1st of Nov, no telling how cheap they are now. Betty, hope the celebration was special :whoo:. Did you ride your Harley's to the bike rally? Happy Anniversary! Sorry I haven't gotten that package out to you, will try to do this week. Patty, one day at a time, that's all you can do...hugs! Chrispy, how's the new beau? Jetti, how you doing with the left overs? Anne, Darcy, (yeah, you Darcy), where are you? Hugs, gotta go attack a tree. (if I get my new software installed I'll shrink some photos and share, I do have to admit my Santa's are kind of neat)

Hey girls, looks like I'm are the only one NOT out doing the Black Friday sales. Turkey Day was great, we took the family and extended family (daughter in law's mom and gma) 14 of us in all, to CC, had a great time. It was relaxing, no kitchen to clean, no dishes to do, no trying to find a place to put the leftovers, LOL. It was 76 here yesterday, 40's today, so last night the hubby and I jumped in the Corvette, put the top down and rode down to our local beach in Yorktown, then we stopped at Walmart, were we bored or what, LOL. He parked way out in the parking lot, I said aren't you going to put the top up, he said naw, it'll be ok. Well.....we're standing in the produce section and what sounded like the AC coming on was RAIN, :rain: then they announced, "if you're driving a Corvette, with the top down, it's pouring down raining", didn't know DH could run that fast. When he got out there, there were four cars sitting around the Corvette, just to see who the idiot was who left the top down. Needless to say, we bought new bath towels for the ride home. It was still fun, not too terribly soaked. Got the garland on the stairs yesterday, but that was about it for decorating. Looking forward to hearing about those bargains today, lets see who got the best deal...Diane, did you get that tv? Later girlies. __________________ __________________

Happy Thanksgiving Gal Pals! Yikes, I've missed so much, I'm not even gonna try to catch up, please forgive me. Kat, I gotta say how happy I am that you have truly been blessed, so happy to hear of the great news. Hugs girl! Well, not to be all about me, but our anniversary was awesome. My DH took me to this very expensive restaurant called the Trellis, Diane knows about it I'm sure. The thought was great, but the restaurant was awful, it's in the heart of Williamsburg, it should be called the "tourist trap". It was loud, bright, and again totally over rated. My DH, tried so hard to make it a special night, he had someone make reservations, didn't tell me where we were going, stopped on the way at a local pub and had a cocktail, but he surely tried..) After we got home, he kicked back on the couch and started watching TV, so I went into the bedroom, lit candles all around the room, put on soft romantic music playing (through the ceiling speakers, surround sound), then put on the cute, black, halter style nitie, (the hell with those thong panties that came with it), then my long granny velour housecoat. Then I went out into the family room and suggested he follow me to the BR, which he was eager to do, then opened the doors and he was shocked. Well, later he said, "after 39 years, you still got it honey" ;):whoo::heh::eyebrows:. As for Thanksgiving, most of you know what a great cook I am, well, buffet style dinner with all the trimmings, including a Breakfast bar will be served at 3:00, of course that will be at the local Country Club we belong to :hungry:. I do have one other thing to announce, I probably shouldn't until it's a done deal, but, I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon on the 29th for a breast reduction/lift and surgery penciled in for Dec 3:omg:. Sorry, about the long boring, all about me post, I try not to do that :speechles. Please forgive me. Jessica, I didn't have munchies until week 3 as well. Diane, give me a call when you can, you have my home number, I'll be here this AM, trying to get into the hohoho mode. The guys from work came yesterday and brought all of my Christmas decorations down from the attic, I'm so spoiled, lol. Betty I'll bet you're just up to you elbows in cooking right now. Slow down, take a break and come play with us. Cindy congrats on the job, my DNL would love to have a job where she can work from home. I told her it takes a lot of self discipline! Mandy, how's your job going? Sherry, you're such a sweetie, I share your same sentiments in your post, so DITTO to all my NJ gals. Gina, let us know how you're doing with your bodybugg. I was going to get one, but I've read a few reviews that bummed me out, so I think I'll put it on hold for right now. Patty, I too, wish you a happier 2008. Not to get mushie, but you're all so much a part of my life, I feel I have been blessed to meet all of you, thanks for being part of my life. :kiss2::kiss2:
