Oh, I need to explain the liquid lunch, I had soup, Diane aka signgirl had water, due to her fill today
-
Hey Gina, Diane and I were wondering where you've been! We had a liquid lunch today and were mentioning we hadn't seen you for a while. Glad to hear you're ok and just a itsy bitsy sit back, but you know what caused the problem and how to fix it, now get back to protein first . Hope your new year is a loser, in a great way!
-
oh my, so sorry, didn't realize I was in the men's room, that's a first for me, hehe.

Don't do do beer, but I never have, but I enjoy my screwdriver (s), but keep in mind those are just totally wasted calores .

Neal, thanks for asking, I'm doing really, really well. I'm a new me since getting those awful drainage tubes out. What a freakin relief. The "girls" are doing well and the tummy is quite flat, except for a little swelling. Making sure to keep tight compression in the tummy area to avoid any fluid build up. The last thing I want to deal with is having those tubes put back in or a needle inserted to withdraw fluid YIKES, so needless to say, I'm being a model plastic surgery patient  I love my new belly button, I've never had one up that high before, lovein it! I'm even walking straight and tall. Thanks for asking, you've got quite the transformation going on yourself, WTG! -
Hey Diane girl, see you're online
-
Sherry, oh my gosh, what a relief, I feel like a new woman, kinda look like one too, hehe. You wouldn't believe what a diff getting those tubes out has made. OK, gotta spills the Beans, Diane, *aka* signgirl and I met today for "liquids" after her fill today, had a g-r-e-a-t time. After about two hours of chat we switched from icewater to screwdrivers, hehehe, then DH joined us and after 4 hours we parted ways. What a wonderful treat  The girls are doing great, the tummy is so flat, new belly button is awesome, but the lipo area is very painful AND the doc said to massage it, WTF is he thinking, that chit hurts! (ok screwdrivers working). Diane got to see all my new areas  Hugs gal pals !

Hey girlies, just checking in  Got those tubes out yesterday, OUCH! What a nasty feeling to have those things being pulled through your skin, barf. Hope everyone's feeling better today. Gotta run shower and treat the wounds. Later

Janine, sorry to just be reading your post, but have not visited the VA site lately. When I do log on, I usually check out the NJ thread, and the "month" of chat, ie, NJ JAN CHAT, great bunch of girls there, come check us out. Hugs

Oh yea gang, remember to tell your ps doctor to prescribe small antibiotics or pill form that can be cut. I told my doctor's nurse and yep, you guessed it, huge capsules, non cuttable, they still go down, but I would have preferred smaller or tablets that I could cut. Hubby was at home this am to assist with the zipping. My "issued" bra is like a sports bra that hooks in the front, does not provide any support or compression for the lipo done under the arms or on the rear "flank" areas, will check into that tomorrow. Also, will be going to find new garments for tummy, my doctor prefers patients chose their own after the first week, even thought about spanks. I'll check with him tomorrow and see if that will work. Just please take these tubes out, errr! I still have not taken pain pills since Wednesday night and that was only 1/2 a pill, then Friday I tried a muscle relaxer, that was a waste, so it's just a Tylenol PM before bed time. Very minimal pain, actually I would describe as discomfort here and there TTYL -

LJM, when I had my prev "mini" tummy tuck the garment was crotchless, but this time it was/is like a very very snug girdle with hooks/eyes and a zipper. Needless to say everytime I had to go potty I had to fidget with the crotch flap, so that got cut off day two , now I just wear panties over top the garment. Could be the pain is from being crouched over, dh says every day, hold your shoulders up, yeah right! The garment is TIGHT, I have to undo the top, afraid it will damage my port of band, and I still have whelp marks from the elastic...ouchie Oh, shower went well, just takes a long time getting ready, then hanging the drains on a hook around your neck, then dressing the wounds after the shower, whew, time for a nap, not to mention I'm very weak in the knees when I see all those bandages and cuts and stitches and, oh my, that's me! -
Lattedah, welcome, I wish you the best on your journey.

Hey 5grnkdz, hope all is well, welcome to bandland :girl_hug: Dr. Terracina did my band 3 years ago.

Hey gang, I'm plugging along, actually the pain has not been that bad, except for this horrible pain I got in my back on Wed night. Here is what I posted on the plastic surgery page: "well, I started off like a trooper, then I started having back pain, WTF? Wednesday night I started having this very intense pain in my back on the left side, so, after two nights of pain, I assumed I had pneumonia, from being put to sleep, so off to the local doc in a box I go for xrays, turns out it was not pneumonia. The doctor said it was muscle spasms, BS! He gave me muscle relaxer, didn't do chit, duh is it me or don't ya think the muscle would ache all the time, not just when I'm flat on my back? I'm not supposed to sleep on my side, but that's the only way I can lay in the bed without pain. Yes I have peeked, I get light headed each time I take a shower, turn white as a ghost and almost pass out. I think it's because of the change in blood pressure after I release the "binding" tummy garment. I still have to have help getting the garment back on because it's so tight, but I'm going to tackle the lone shower today, but I'm going to take the garment off lying down and give it a few minutes before I attempt to shower. The "girls" are looking ok, the tummy, well I still have the tubes, what a pain in the a$$, did I already tell y'all that, hopefully, they'll come out tomorrow. But, the tummy is flat and I have a new belly button :girl_hug: Also, because I had lost so much weight, my legs had sagged in the inner thigh, so I asked him to do an extra tug in to lift out what he could and it seems to have worked. Well, gang, off to pop off the tummy vice and try a shower...solo" Kat, you didn't jinx me with that 3rd day mess did you? Eileen can't believe you've got another cold, poor baby! Diane, maybe we can get together Wed, would love to see you, what time is your fill? Hugs to all my wonderful, caring, well wishing, praying, NJ girlfriends!

M Bella, had the surgery on Monday, all seems ok, I've been very fortunate with little pain, more discomfort than pain. Starting to get cabin fever now though, it's a nasty, rainy, cold day here in VA. Friend who cleaned the drainage areas for me yesterday said my tummy looked awesome, I couldn't look, stuff like that makes me nauseous, LOL. The girls/puppies seem mighty small, but it's too soon to tell :pray2:. I'll stay in touch, thanks for asking.

Again, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. It will be so nice to sleep tonight without the pumps going on my legs. Last night was a little tough, only because with the leg pumps on, ya can't move very much, I felt like rig amortise had set in, LOL. I was up most of the day diddling, even fixed dinner last night, I don't usually cook when I'm well, I was just bored I guess. I'm quite apprehensive about seeing the body without the compression garments, but I've got to get in the shower today, I know I'll feel better -
Funny things happen when you start to age.

I'll be 58 in March, had a tummy tuck and breast lift/reduction yesterday. I kept asking myself, what am I doing, I'm almost 58 is this crazy or what, oh well, you only live once  Gotta go walk, or put my blowup leggings on. -
What to wear during recovery?
HarleyNana replied to TamifromAL's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I've had my robe on the last 24 hours, makes going to the potty and checking my drains much easier. The only button up the front pj's I found were flannel, well at 58, you don't want anything that hot, LOL. I took my robe to wear home after the surgey too. Anxious to see what TT is going to look like and the boobies look a little small, YIKES! Those dresses are either smock dresses or "A" line dress. -
Thanks for all the prayers, I'm doing absolutely great. A little discomfort, and I've cut the percocets back to 1/2 at a time  I've done a lot of walking today, when I'm not walking or sitting too long, I put the auto blowup leggings on. My doctor sent me a basket of beautiful flowers, how sweet is that? Took a few before pictures and will take more when things progress. I empty my own drainage tubes, have been since last night. Slept in recliner, that was NOT comfy, by the time I got up this AM I thought rigamortse had set in, LOL. VA Diane, stressed the importance, along with my DR how important it is to keep the legs moving or being pumped. This girdle is so tight, I don't think I could get a finger between it and my skin. The top's pretty comfy, except for where he did the lipo. Yesterday, when he was drawing on me, I told him it was taking everything I had not to say...Forget It I'm outta here! He laughed and patted me on the knee and said I think you are going to be surprised at how well you will do. Well, it's always better to be prepared for the worse then anything less is OK. I'm still in shock at how active I've been, only thing I haven't done is climb the stairs, sheesh I don't do that too much when I'm well. Hugs to you all &

Hey gang! Actually, I'm doing very well, I have to keep moving, walking that is, to avoid blood clots, so what better place to walk to, the computer, but when I'm sitting for a spell, I put the auto blowup things around my calves. Thanks for the prayers, I'm sure they helped  I feel great, except for the itching, only taking 1/2 of 500mg percocets (sp). Didn't brave the shower today, not ready to deal with bandages and all yet. Keeping the drains emptied is a job, two for the tummy tuck, none for the breast lift/reduction. -

Well, so far so good, or either those percocets are doing their job. Yahoo, I didn't chicken out, but day 2 & 3 will be a challenge I'm sure. -
Hey girlies, just stopped in to ask for a big favor, I know I'm asking a lot since I've been MIA for a while, but lots of personals going on, so please forgive me. The real favor is I need a little prayer, I'm having TT and B/reduction and lift tomorrow 10:00 AM and I'm scared to death, so much, if I don't cancel it will be a miracle. Started off I was just doing the "girls", then a little lipo on the back "flank" area, then when I went for my preop and testing on Wed, the doctor suggested tummy tuck, but without going into the muscles. He said it wouldn't be as risky of a surgery and since I'd already had a mini TT, he thought I'd be ok without the muscle tightnining, which is the most painful part. Of course didn't adjust the $6,000 figure too much, LOL. As for the B-redu/lift, that's another $6700!!!! We had a local lady that died last year almost a year ago to the date from having the same surgery...YIKES. Hugs to you all! PS Hubby says it's up to me, but he loves me the way I am and thinks the "F"S are fine. I'm seriously thinking of cutting out something, excuse the pun, either the lipo or maybe the TT, just seems like a lot to heal, especially at my age :welldoneclap:.

Nina, DH wants to go in and place his hands around a "handfull", then tell the dr the rest is a waste, LMAO. Forgot to mention they're "F"s now and already were reduced 25 years ago. Small D sounds good, yep, been use to bigguns all my life, at my age of almost 58, little late to go too small. Thanks and thanks for the well wishes. __________________

I'm 5'2, doctor says "D", but I'm going to push for a large "C". I haven't even had the surgery yet, but I'm already saying to myself, what am I thinking, this is crazy, LOL.
