"how'd you get off work" I slept with the boss! Actually, my husband and I have owned our business for 35 years, and now our two sons basically run our business. I always laugh and tell people, hubby goes in to "stir the pot" and I go in to count the money, actually check on the admin stuff. After having more than $40,000, embezzled over a two year period, I'll probably never trust anyone again .

From what I understand, the more invasive the surgery, the more muscles that are cut into and tightened, the riskier the surgery.
-
Oh yeah, forgot to mention I'm a shrinking 5'2, so with my new tummy, the girls are gonna look huge even if they become a "c".
-
Well, since I've always been big busted, to go to a C would probably have felt a little strange, but I truly wish that's what I had gotten, but instead at this point I'm a 38 DD , but it's only been a 19 days, so I'm still swollen. When I was at my doctors Tuesday, I was whining about the "girls", and he lifted the paperwork off my pictures that he took during surgery , and showed me on the operating table, with the right side already done and the left side, LMAO, almost falling off the table, then asked do you see a diff now, . They are smaller, I can get almost 3 fingers between me and a an old 40 F. When I went to Dillards 10 days ago, I still measured a H, but that was only a week out. Going to Victoria's Secret today, I'm so hoping I can fit into one of their "ANGEL" bras, do you think it would make me an angel, LOL. Later....

Sherry, thanks for starting the thread and sending me the "smaller" pictures. I even downloaded a new software program, chit! You and hubby look awesome. You're such a doll baby, and such a sweetie. Kat, I'm going to be posting more pictures, LOL, with Sherry's help. I'm just pssed right now cause I can't do it myself. Kat we need some new pictures of you too, how about it girls, lets get an update of everyone. Kat the drains came out after week one, TG! That was truly the best thing, although it was nasty getting them taken out, YUK, needless to say my compression garment won't come off for good until I'm told by the doctor I can leave it off, as much as I hate it, because he said if I started holding Fluid he'd have to put the drains back in, NO WAY.lol. Diane has lost so much in her face, by the way, did the bra fit? Betty, I still need to get that bag of stuff out of my closet and get mailed to you, it would probably help if you'd pm me your address and I didn't have to research it, LOL. I hate to whine, but I don't have chit to wear , my bra's I can get almost three fingers between me and the bra, yet the girls still look huge. I did wear my 12 petite jeans and a snut shirt out the other night, not tooting my old horn, but I looked pretty good even for me. Folks couldn't believe I was out and about and shaking my booty to boot, after just a little over two weeks. I had cabin fever, had to get out. Jetti, Diane, my motto, "stay away from the scales", it's such an up and down thing, in my first year, yeah, I did it at least every other day, now, maybe, once a month. I haven't weighed since my surgery, I'd probaby contribute it to fluid anyway, (that and a few too many screwdrivers). Don't laugh Diane. Mandy, did the nose bleeds stop? Kat, I asked my dh yesterday, if he thought I'd still remember how to ride my Harley this summer, of course, he said yes, but it's been over two years and it's so big and heavy, I just don't know if I trust my old a$$. I'm on my laptop, so I'm going to get on my regular pc and see if I can make my pictures smaller, so I won't have to bother Sherry.

Gals, I must just be odd or something, but I didn't need all those meds. I told the anesthes.. that I tended to be nauseous when I woke up, they added the meds for the nausea and I woke up groggy, but not sick on the tummy at all, sore, but not sick. I hate to gloate, but I had surgery on Monday, and was taking 1/2 a pain pill by Tuesday and the last 1/2 Wed night. I'm installing new software so I can down size my pictures, which I'll post for a couple of days, then I'll be deleting them. When I did get sick was the first time I tried to shower and the second time, boy my head was spinning, but it got lots easier as each shower went by, my biggest pain in the a$$ was the drains. I started emptying my own drains the second day, just be sure they're hooked low enough you can handle them. Did I mention I love my new tummy, LOL, (I know I already did) :tt1: Expect the worst and you'll be fine! -
OK, something's wrong with my computer, I knowwwwwwwwwwww, some one has been here besides me. Oh well, I'm glad I didn't waste time posting pictures, LOL.

Just got back to my office, from the doctor's office, all is well :rolleyes2: He gave me samples of that Mederma cream, told me to rub it on 2-3 times a day, guess he doesn't have to pay for that stuff, LOL. He even showed me pictures of before and after with the girls, how he'd done one side and not the other, quite interesting. I did notice he did the tummy first, it was already done when he took the boob shots. I didn't realize they went down so far under my arms when I was lying flat on my back. I bought some black size 12 Petites today, they're a little snug, but he said it would take a full three months for all the swelling to go down. He asked if I was taking Motrin and I told him I wasn't taking anything like that, he said not for the pain, but for swelling, I told him I thought the "screwdrivers" would take care of that. He took the steristrips off, wahoo. Gotta run, sorry this was all about me, will do personals later.
-
Lynn, send them on, I'm not a pro, but I'll give it my best. I have a follow up today, I'm hoping he'll pull these steristrips off, they're really starting to itch or either the dissolving stitches are itching. Look forward to the PM. Pat in VA

Good Morning Girls, Just a quick jump in to say hey! I've got a follow up visit today, I sure hope he takes these steristrips off, I'm really starting to itch and itch I do. My problem is when I scratch an itch, I bruise, seriously, thin blood I guess. I bought some of that high price scar med yesterday I'll see today if I can start using it. I also need to get some of that stuff from GNC for scars, but it may be too late for that, because you're supposed to start taking that before the surgery. Any suggestions on that? I thought someone else from this thread had a TT, but I don't want to be a name dropper. Hugs to you all, ttyl.

Karey, it's amazing what diff doctors have to say. I was never told anything about caffeine, and I drink Dunkin Donut coffee, every morning. My major warning was about herbs and supplements, and what various ones can cause side effects of the surgery. I was also told to massage the lipo areas, but someone said they were told not to, so who is correct, LOL? -
Lynn, I just "did it again", LOL. I had a "mini" TT 15 years ago, but the doctor told me I only needed a mini, boy was that a joke. I looked like I had a new butt in the front. All he did was cut off the lower portion, near the hair line, and tighten the muscles, all the skin and fat from above were left, not to mention it looked like chit when it healed. I saw the photo of the section he took out, I swear it looked like, have to laugh here, a large wedge/slice of cherry pie. I was also left with these huge dog ears they called them, one on each side hanging down, disgusting. Well two weeks ago, I went for a breast reduc/lift and asked him to take off the dog ears while he was there and he said I'd be better off with a full TT. I'm so glad I did, I'm thrilled, (so far), with the results and the pain for me has been minimal :rolleyes2:. The girls are doing well too, not as full at the top as I'd hoped, but I opted not to do the implants, I'm 57, the last thing I need is something else to take care of. Oh yeah, the drains were the worst part, what a PIA! They came out after the first week, and the two stitches that held them on only drained another 2 days, then it was no more gauze, just anti bacterial cream. Have a great day.

LJM, so sorry you have to get an unfill, I didn't have to do that, thank goodness. I didn't have much of an appetite anyway, so hopefully you'll be ok in that department. I didn't need all the pain meds either, so just remember everyone's different, go with what's best for you  -
My mom was 74 when she was banded, almost three years ago. She's lost 45 lbs and is doing well with her band. She had a set back a year and a half ago, had to be unfilled, then start from scratch due to esophagus problems.

JulieNYC's medial thigh lift, breast augmentation and mons lift
HarleyNana replied to JulieNYC's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Julie, I'm so sorry you may have to have the drains put back in, ouch! My doctor said if I didn't wear a tight garment on my tummy I could build up Fluid and he would have to put them back in, needless to say, I got the tightest thing I could pull up. Wishing you the best. Hugs -
What to wear during recovery?
HarleyNana replied to TamifromAL's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Angelnurse, my doctor told me on my 1 week post op visit I could wear spanks or a regular "tight" garment from target. I was put in a garment after surgery, with a zipper on the side, but it was high wasted and cut me in to, if it had been a normal waste I would have kept using it, but it was so uncomfortable, I still have whelps around my waist from wearing it. -

HarleyNana replied to TamifromAL's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Karey, put it this way, from the way it's looking I won't be going bra-less , they're a little firmer, but not enough to go without a bra. I know it's too soon to judge, 12 days, but I don't think it's what I was hoping for at all. I knew I wouldn't have the fullness without the implants, but I had hoped for much more than what I have, because I had plenty to do it with. My doctor did say I could add the implants at a later date, but I hate being put to sleep, absolutely hate it. Plus he said there is a certain amount of work involved with the implants, which I'm not crazy about either. DH says it's my choice, but not one I'd make any time soon, LOL. As for the tummy, I'm already loving it. -
Time to regroup! Start by getting your head straight, you can do this! Next go back to the basics, Protein first and lots of it. Also, maybe you need a fill. It's all up to you babe, you can do it. Good luck.

Good Morning Ladies! Diane, how's the fill, are you dehydrated yet? Eileen, Happy Anniversary, some-body's gonna get lucky tonight, hehe. I miss Beanie too, seems a lot of our ppls have dropped out of site :frown:. Betty, what you cooking today? I know you're cooking something good. Sherry, you've mighty quiet this week, what's up? Cindy, you've been quiet too. Chell, welcome to the best thread on LBT, just my opinion :hurray:. Jetti, I am enjoying the new tummy, I took a few pictures before and plan on taking some pictures today, if any of my NJ pals want to see, I'll see if I can pm them to you  Kat the lunch was awesome, I hope we can make it a regular routine every time Diane gets a fill, come on down and join us. Like I've said so many times before, I would love to meet everyone. Mandy, hope you and DD are well. Also, I want to thank everyone for the wonderful Christmas cards and apologize for never getting mine out to you. This holiday season seemed more stressful than in years past. I know excuses, excuses. Hugs

JulieNYC's medial thigh lift, breast augmentation and mons lift
HarleyNana replied to JulieNYC's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Julie, on the 14th of this month, I only went through TT/breast lift/reduction and lipo and about the 7th day, I wanted to cry all day, actually the 8th day too, but today is all better. I just realized one of my stitches around the breast has popped open and there's a hole there, of course it has to be at the end, so if I don't do something I'll be stuck with a pucker or worse it could get infected. As for my TT, after day 2, I did my own drains, I'm sure with what you went through it was so much harder to do, you're truly are a trooper Wishing you a speedier recovery. -
Tracy your pictures are so cute, you've come a long way baby! Pictures, hmmm maybe, LOL.

HarleyNana replied to losingjusme's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Neal, I was self pay too, another ouch, lol. I'm doing quite well, went shopping today, but new girls aren't much smaller than before, the lady who measured me at Dillards said I was still an H, OMG! I'm still swollen from the lipo, but I KNOW these girls aren't the same size, LOL, so she suggested I wait a few days. I also discovered an end stitch, which I thought had just dissolved was open, started itching, so I "itched" it a little and then looked and it's a hole, so I'm calling in the am to see if it needs some glue or something, please not a stitch, but I don't want a pucker or a hole there. Tummy is doing well, 100% diff without the tubes. Hubby still massaging the lipo area, ok, just figure you slammed your hand in the car door, it's black and blue, and now you've been told to massage it, ouchie! The doctor said it has to be done, my hubby (smart a$$ that he is said), no pain, no gain. Take Care, hope to have pictures soon.
