Jack, no warning here and it's so aggravating. I can eat one thing one day, a day later eat the same thing and slimeville. Then I may go a couple of days without. BUT, it's amazing, chili and refried Beans I never have a problem with. I have paid much more attention and it's definately happens more often with solids, like a small bite of soft taco shell or bite of a pancake, this am even soft mushy egg did it, (right after a bite of a pancake, lol). I sure wanted that dang egg this morning too, darn it. Some days I don't feel any restriction, then I'll maybe take a bigger bite and/or swallow too quickly and it will not stay down. So from now on at restaurants if it's not chili I'm not ordering it. It's so embrsn to have to rush to restroom to spit and spit and spit and well you get the picture. Good luck with the fill.

Finally, :banana :banana , I tried to eat a bite of my zone bar this morning and it's sitting right in the middle of my chest. Finally a golf ball feeling. I was eating out of control, but this got my attention real fast. Yippee!!!!!

I don't think I've actually pb'd yet, just the slime. No wonder we gotta drink lots of water, once that slime starts, ya could fill an empty water bottle.

My secretary just had an emergency appendectomy and thought she was getting the flu the night after her surgery, she couldn't stop shaking and had to stay an extra day due to the fever.

I didn't have my first slime until after my first fill. I get about 1 every other day now, just when I've started to think the band's not working very well. It really sucks when you're in a restaurant, I've had to haul tail to the restroom twice now. It just keeps sliming until the culprit that caused the slime comes back. Usually in my case it's because I've not chewed well enough or something just didn't settle. Once it was coleslaw and today it was just the "last bite", one bite too many, not knowing when to stop.

Every time my mother washed my hair I used to run and tell the neighbors my mother had just tried to drown me. When my kids were little, they'd have their friends come over and get in the pool, they were sure to tell each one before they got in that I had special chemicals that would turn the Water red if they tinkled in the pool. I really like the one about the ups truck and music from the ice cream truck.

That wonderful post should be forwarded to every insurance company since they have a difficult time with the definition of obesity.

Tanya, Dr. Allen was the proctor, who assisted my doctor with my band. Unfortunately, his plane was delayed by fog and they were on a schedule, so I didn't have the opportunity to meet him. I am glad he was there to assist and also found and repaired a haital hernia. Good luck, I know you'll do great.

I have a vodka and oj every great once and a while, hate to waste the calories. I'm saving them up for summer so I can enjoy outside in the hot sun fishing. Right now I figure I got about 16 drinks coming so far, that's 2 a week, LOL.

She did better than I could have thought of doing. I can't believe she wasn't put to sleep. What a woman!

The Dead Duck A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she lay her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head sadly and said, "I'm so sorry, your pet has passed away." The distressed owner wailed, "Are you sure? "Yes, I'm sure. The duck is dead," he replied. "How can you be so sure", she protested. "I mean, you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something." The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the room. He returned a few moments later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head. The vet patted the dog and took it out and returned a few moments later with a beautiful cat. The cat jumped up on the table and also sniffed the bird from its beak to its tail and back again. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly, jumped down and strolled out of the room. The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck." Then the vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys, and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman. The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!" she cried. "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead?!!" The vet shrugged. "I'm sorry. If you'd taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20. But with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan.....it all adds up."

Well on a happier note, if you were looking at the closeup without knowing what you were looking at, the closeup looks like a happy face with bad teeth, maybe that's a sign your wound is happy and will heal now.

Down to 190.5, that's a 24.5 loss since 12/6/04 banding date. My first goal is close, that is to loose 30 lbs, then to the next goal of 50. I feel guilty being happy about a -1/2 lb considering everything Lisa has been through, thinking about you girl!

Thanks for all the info guys, tg I don't use too many pills, just a baby asprin and thyroid med. I will be speaking with my doctor and showing him this article. Good luck again.

Thank you Kathy. Odd, but my doctor said we could take any of those. I'll be re evaluating that question with him next time I see him. Glad I've only taken 1 motrin in 8 weeks.

Thank goodness I only had 2 weeks of liquids, hang in there you can do it and it's well worth it.

OK, I'm a little slow, admittingly, what are nsaids?

My port is 1/4 inch from my waist (or where it's suppose to be) and I can feel it very easily, anytime. My band is at the sternum and boy is it working nicely, thank goodness, although very picky about what it lets through.

Thank goodness for chili and refried beans and egg salad. I don't do well with the hard proteins either...slimeville.

I couldn't even swallow water yesterday without it coming back, the culprit, I had taken large of a bite and not chewed enough a slice of steamed, (not very soft) squash. Once I got that dang squash seed up, I was fine, but it was hell until that came back. Amazing how a itsy bitsy seed can cause such pain and misery.

Unbelieveable! What a week, I certainly hope things are looking up for both of you. I like your idea of paying the toll for the guy behind you too. Acts of kindness are so rare and far between. I pray every night tomorrow I'll be a better person than today, (and I'm really a kind person, just ask my grandson). Again, God Bless.
