Looking good lady. At a different store those would probably be size 12 pants and size 16 shirt. I have found Wal-Mart sizing to be very conservative. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing the pic.

Does everyone strain their food on full liquid phase?
HarleyNana replied to apple's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I did the same thing Kathy did, chewed and spit, after being on liquids, it was just as good as swallowing, LOL. It is amazing what will go through a straw. -
Before I hit the solid stage, I spent a many a minute over the kitchen sink, I actually got pretty good aim at that disposal. I'd chew, chew, chew to get over that need to chew, then into the sink it went. It may not have been pretty, but I sure saved a lot of mental anguish to have eaten and taken the chance to damage my new friend, my band. I'm not a perfect bandster, but I do try hard, and my band sure lets me know, really fast, if I've made a bad choice. You wouldn't abuse a friend, so don't abuse your band, it too is your friend.

First fill and wondering.......
HarleyNana replied to mistybreezes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Tanya, ask for the little needle. The first time I went for fills I almost passed out, just cause I had a lot ofo anxiety and....I'm a big chicken when it comes to needles. Now I take a half a valium and put some cream on before I get to his office, so it's a breeze now. Jack, you keep on waiting and you'll have lost all your weight and won't need one, you're doing such a great job. Betty of course it didn't hurt, you're a Harley Mama. -
Hi! New member ready to walk the plank.
HarleyNana replied to wavetimer's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Honey, this ain't no plank, this is a runway to a thinner, happier you. Good luck, wish you the best. -
Ouch, sorry about the bad luck, I too hope it will turn itself around. Mine is attached to a muscle and so it doesn't flip a lot. Let us know how it goes.

I still have my smoothie made with lots of fruits and vodka, yummmmm. I do try to maintain a few healthy choices, fruit is good for you, correct?
-
I didn't have a big deal with pain either. Pain meds at hospital was all I needed. Probably will need gas-x more than pain meds, LOL. I wish you the best.

Wow, I think you look pretty good now. Maybe it's the dark outfit. No problems with crazy dreams or being skinny, hehehe. Good luck!

Well by now, welcome to bandland Nikkee. I DO like your signs, how'd you do that? Too cool, hope all is well and you're doing grand.

Oprah talked about that today, she uses cereal for her crunch food.

Wow, I think you are adorable, I love the hair. You're quite the inspiration and welcome aboard.

I can lift something heavy and it causes my boobs to get very tender. There are lots of tiny blood vessels in the chest area and my doctor told me many years ago they bruise very easily, but you can't see them because they're so tiny. Everytime mine are sore, I will think back and sure enough I've picked up something heavy.

I always thought it was all sugar free candy that gave me gas, I guess I need to compare the type of subsitute used. S/f icecream or chocolate doesn't do it, but let me eat a hard piece of candy and look out, you'll need a gas mask for sure, not to mention the explosions going on within and out.

Bandsters group at Yahoo... SandyRN gone.. COME BACK!!!
HarleyNana replied to katerzz's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I only surfed the Yahoo boards until I found this one and one other. I didn't find them to be very consistant or user friendly. Funny, but that Sandy person sure sticks out in my mind, some people are negative about everything. Besides you can only be loyal to so many sites before they become a bandster blurrrrrrrr. -
Back. been off the board for a while.....
HarleyNana replied to LapBandFan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Great news, even the little gain, now you're healed and back on track...you go girl! How are the babies? -
I've never seen real estate come down, since I'm an investor, that's a good thing. Interest rates vary, which may determine the speed in which a home sells, but I've never known of a home to sell at a reduced rate unless the seller just needed to get out from the debt or had to sell for personal reasons, such as divorce of illness, etc. When the stock market fell, my real estate just kept on getting it. Invest in real estate, they're not making anymore of it. Good luck on the sale of your house, I'd use a little of that money to invest in a rental property that becomes a source of income.

Stomach Surgery to Get Thin, But Not Necessarily Happy*
HarleyNana replied to mrwindt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
These ladies were on the Today show this AM, along with Al, telling a little of their story, basically pointing out the loss of weight was not the answer to their problems. I was more taken by their beauty after the weight loss than the story. Afterall, everyone has their own story. -
Good for you Margo. I was so excited I drove myself to the hospital, but not home, LOL. I had to be there at 5:30. I'm thrilled for you, congratulations and best of luck on your new journey.

A mothers day gift that will keep on giving year after year, good luck on your journey. -
My mom was banded April 7th and she had a lot of back pain too, still does every so often.

Ditto Michelle!

New and not much improved...yet
HarleyNana replied to cathyRN's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome Cathy, sounds like it's time to take a deep breath and get down to some serious losing again. We all take a break from time to time, but the secret is to get back down to business. Sounds like a fill could help a lot. Good luck to ya.
