Hello, I am new to the boards. I am pre-op and still not 100% sure that I want to go through with the surgery. I don't have any weight related health issues right now. However I could stand to lose 100 pounds! Also diabetes runs in my family in fact my mother died at only 36 y/o due to complications from diabetes. I'm almost sure I want to have the surgery but I'm just so curious to see how people feel that have already been there and done that. How would you rate your overall experience from the surgery until now? I find this board to be very helpful during this decision making process. Thanks In Advance, Neta

Thanks for your responses! I am about 95% sure that I want to do this. It sounds like the first couple weeks to a month are the worst/hardest to deal with. I've read that a lot of people wish they did the surgery sooner. I don't want to be that person 5 years from now. I'm pretty sure that I can take 2-4 weeks of learning how to eat with my sleeve to be more healthy for a lifetime!
