My name is Rosemarie.I have had a weight problem my whole life. I will be 60 at the end of the year and finally decided to stop the yo yo diets, etc and make a lifetime change. I was having back pain and foot pain and all the doctors said loosing the weight would help relieve the pain.
I found out that I have severe sleep apnea when tested prior to sleeve surgery. Another aliment cured by weight loss. I hope.
The Dr said i had a large stomach. Not a surprise considering how much I had to eat to feel satisfied. He also said he made it extra small. I was always a fast eater and now I am suffering in pain because I have not learned to slow down after surgery. The pain lasts for about 45 minutes. Sometimes I vomit. I need to keep portions small and eat slower because I can't stand this uncomfortable feeling.
The good news is I am 20 lbs down from pre-surgery weight. My clothes are starting to fit better and weight loss is noticeable in my face.
I have a long way to go but it feels so effortless compared to previous dieting attempts. Starvation always nagging me and now I don't feel the hunger sensation. I love that.
My only other big complaint is the stabbing pain in the left side of my chest which seems to happen when I swallow or eat. Maybe its trapped air. I just wish it would stop cause it hurts so much.
