Wow, I am so glad I found this thread. It will be 4 years in July since I received my band, and I too have had many struggles. Tomorrow I will finally receive another fill, and hoping to finally get back on track to my goal. I have no one else but myselft to blame for the slow loss that I've had. I've not had any problems with the band, except last October, when I had to have my fill totally removed for 2 months, and had only 1cc put back in around mid December. The first 3 years I did not start an excercise routine, I did not quit smoking, and I really just think I didn't take it seriously like I should have. This past January, I joined a gym, and I have been there religiously 3 to 5 times a week (except for 1 of the weeks) and I quit smoking. I did gain back abut 10 pounds, but I believe what I gained the most was more respect for myself. I am trying finally, and I really do want this to work for me. I still have the stresses of a job, and a family, but I finally have decided not to put myself on the back burner....there's time for stress, and theres time for family, and now there's time for me. That's all I have time to type right now, I have a long drive in the morning to get my fill, but I will definitely check back in to see how well others are doing. We are all in the same boat, trying to make changes in our lives, and even though we struggle, we will all get there eventually. Thanks for listening, Lynette

Happy New Year to all us Detoxors. So I went a little wild last evening, but nothing I can't get back to today. NSV- I excercised today for the first time in months on my wii fit, for 1 hour, and 2 minutes so far, and I feel good. Just getting up on it today was great. Did a lot of aerobic stepping and running in that hour, and then some fun ones too, but I did it. Have my bodybugg up and running today, and been logging in my calories. And I've actually not got on the scale today. Hope everyone had a great night last night and 2009 is going to be F-I-N-E fine. -
Hello Lucky 7's, it's been a while, a long while, but I thought I'd stop in to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Hope everyone had a great holiday season. I'm still struggling to get the last 25 pounds off, but I've recommitted myself this past Sunday, and I've lost 5 since then, so here's to a New Year at Goal Weight. Hope everyone is well. Lynette

So I do believe that I will ABSOLUTEly be having a mixed drink on New Years Eve this year. I have a 4 year old son who will be spending the night at his grandmothers, and I intend to take full advantage of the situation. We plan to go out, somewhere, and one drink won't kill me, it will just knock me on my a$$, that's all. I've moved on to mushies tonight, having baked ricotta cheese with marinara sauce. I made about 1/2 cup of cheese with a 1/4 cup of sauce, and it is so good, but I am getting full quickly, which is a great thing. I'll be back to liquids tomorrow as I just made broccoli cheese Soup for my lunch. Hope everyone's having a great day. -

Sure, Raspberry cheesecake smoothies- I took 1 tbsp of SF Jello cheesecake pudding powder, 1 tsp of SF jello raspberry jello powder- but it was too much so I'd use only 1/2 tsp, and mixed it with milk, unflavored Protein powder, and ice in my magic bullet. Pretty good. Bodybugg is a device worn on your arm that tracks your movements and calories burned. You can check out all the info at bodybugg.com. If you ever watched the Biggest Loser on tv, they use them on the program to help monitor calories in and track calories burned. -

Sounds like everyone is on the right track for the best New Year ever. Weighed in this morning at 176, so down 5 since Sunday morning. Probably just Water weight, but hey, I'll take it. Making it on liquids hasn't been hard at all. I've been reading the recipes thread to get some ideas on liquids again. Just now I'm drinking a raspberry cheesecake smoothie, and it's yummy. Almost too sweet, but good. I'm not quite sure if I'm going to do the pouch test, I may stay on liquids a while and see how well I do. I've done it before after surgery, and I can do it again. Anxiously awaiting my bodybugg at the moment, it shipped yesterday, so hopefully it will be here today, sooner rather than later. Keep up the great work and positive attitude. We're doing it!! -

OH Juli, how funny is that. I wonder if it works when the hubby is watching WWE like he is now. Probably not, but it's my bedtime and I;m ending the day with 751 calories, and 99 grams of protein. What a day, and it's over. G'night all. See you all tomorrow. -
Sounds great. I'm excited about getting it and learning all I can, even though I've read everything I can get my hands on about it, I'm sure it's much different when you have it in your hands and are trying it out. I've wanted one for the past year and a half, and I'm glad I waited to get the new smaller version, and hoping it may not be as noticible under my clothes at work. Thanks for the reply, and good luck on your journey!

OK, at least I'm not the only one here who can't stay off the darn scale. I just weighed myself a few minutes ago, down to 178 tonight:thumbup:, so that's 3 pounds less than yesterday when I weighed in about 10am:omg_smile:, and I even ate dinner last night after my liquid breakfast and dinner. That's enough to keep me motivated this evening to not eat anything, well, maybe a sugar free jello, cause they are so darn good! If I get rid of this headache, maybe I could do a little excercise too. Detox is working ladies, keep it up!! -

Lots of posts to read today, and lots of newly committed bandsters coming together for support, now that is what I needed to read after yesterday's drama. Yesterday was a pretty good day. I did liquids for breakfast and lunch, but had a nice dinner planned and had a little. Today, full liquids so far, 3 shakes and a sugar free jello. I actually have a headache coming on, from the detoxing of my system from sweets, etc. It's welcomed today, since I know I'm doing great. So after researching the bodybugg, I went to 24hourfitness.com and purchased one. They have the new smaller version out, and the new display watch was free with purchase right now, so I got both for $249. Just another tool to help keep me on track. I should get it by Wednesday, and I'm so looking forward to it. Happy New Year to ME!!!! So a question for all of you out there, how often are you going to weigh yourselves??? I think we should all do it at the same time, and post our results, loss or gain, and maybe it can be motivating for us. Any other suggestions are welcome too, just tryng to keep the motivation and support going. Maybe every Monday since today is when most of us are starting. I propose a toast, I know it's early, but what the heck. Here's to us, a New Year, a New Attitude, and a New Committment to US. Cheer, Cheer!!:frown::thumbup::crying: -

If you lost 6 pounds over the holidays then that is great for you, but why are you here, trying to bring all of us down. Does it make you feel superior to us? I came back to this website because I needed to get back on track. I found this thread because of the title, but it seems you found it despite the title. Hopefully you will never know our problem. My fills are not always the same, and the foods and cravings are there, and the motivation hasn't been for me after a terrible fall I suffered in May. Excercising has been very hard, and that is how my body got off track, but not that I need an excuse for it. You've almost made me very sorry I ever came back here for support. But, you do not win, and I will be back, with more motivation than ever to prove to people like you that may not understand. Is is not a diet, it's a New Year, with a New Attitude, and some extra support from others going through similar situations. -

I use Jay Robbs unflavored powder, but I think it has a slight flavor depending on what you use it in. I can't taste it creamed Soups, but can see it in broth soups, therefore I can taste it more. I can't use it shakes, I prefer the vanilla or chocolate, but I can put it in cottage cheese, yogurt, and can eat it without noticing a huge difference. -

Sounds great, and the calories aren't bad at all. My shakes end up being 205 calories just with the protein powder and 1 tbsp of peanutbutter. I like to add banana in once in a while, and they do last me a few hours too.
