Frustrated, you can always ask for them to box up half of the meal when you order too. Many places will do this for you.

Imfine and Car, welcome to the Lucky 7's. Chim, been wondering where you were. Hope you'e doing good. Marcy, you have restriction!!! Way to go only eating 3 pieces. Sunny, where have your been. Dini, did you kidnap Sunny and take off. You didn't even stop and get me!! You've been MIA for a while now!! Nurse76, I think you dropped of the planet, where ae you??? Hope you've been well and doing good in school. Stop in and see us!! dmtjet, have your room ready yet, the kiddies are coming soon!! Cazulay, do you like Curves? I did it for a year, but am no longer a member. I liked it, but then I went and spent $200 on a home gym that I don't use, go figure. But I plan to get on it soon. ssankofa, love the attitude. Let it go and start fresh this week. I went to the physchologist today. She said I was doing great. Had to weigh in again. I lost another lb from their last record, but was 2 lbs heavier than my scale. I'm figuring with my jeans on instead of light shorts and being in the aftenoon makes a diference. I'm beginning to not like the scale, as you weigh different at different times, at different places. Too hard to keep track of. I've decided to let my scale go, to the basement. Out of sight, out of mind. I'll continue to get weighed at the office and that's it. I'm not changing my ticker, it's just going to have to wait for me to get there with the doc's scale numbers. I've decided it's going to be a long road, and with every journey we take we will have ups, and downs. I know it will come off if I follow the rules and guidelines. I need to start paying more attention to the NSV's that are sure to come, than what the numbers say on the scale. After all, isn't that what we are all lokking forward to the most. Remember all those things that we listed that we were looking forward to accomplishing with the loss. Not one of us mentioned a number. When I think about losing the weight, I imagine myself healthy at the end, not thin, and a scale can't measure my health. It's just a number.

I went to the recipe thread and have some new recipes to try. I just made one that was real easy. It's an egg wrap. I stuffed it with ground turkey, cheese, tomato, turkey bacon, and green pepper. Topped it with Mild Taco Bell Sauce. Yummy, and so easy. Take 6 eggs and mix with 3 ozs of parmesan chese. Line a cookie tray with parchment paper. Poor 2 circles of mix on to sheet at a time, about 4 to 5 inches in diameter. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. Easy and good. Great for protein. I used egg beaters, so even better, and it made 4 wraps total.

Brandy, yet another Red Lobster lover. There are so many of us that eat seafood, and love it. Way to go on the biscuit, only eating 1, but you don't even want to know how many calories are in it,LOL. Good Luck on your fill on Friday. Congrats on the loss. Cazulay, you seem to be handling the social eating quite well. I hope I can do the same when something comes up. Indiogirl, love the new picture!! Tenille, congrats on the loss!! About the addictions, I hope if I have to change to another it will be sex!! It has to get better as we get smaller, right!!! Not that it's not good now, just meaning wanting it more, a better libido!! But in all seriousness, I know people tend to do this, and I'm glad I still have a physicologist to get me through this part, because I was absolutely addicted to food.

Good morning Lucky 7's!! dmtjet, other than the pancake incident, I've had no other problems with food getting stuck. I'm supposed to eat every 3 hours, and I do for the most part. Sometimes I can go longer and do, but my stomache growls about 2 1/2 hours after eating. If it doesn't, then I don't eat again. I'm trying to get used to listening to my body, and giving it what it wants, when it wants it, and not before. On another note, Hunter has his preschool evaluation on Tuesday. I really hope he decides to start going on the potty. He can do it, he just doesn't want to. I'm about ready to let him run naked in the house today so he has to run into the bathroom,LOL. Kathy, I bet he was suprised about the presentation you gave him. I love his remark!! Palm Springs, Baby!!! NewCC, sounds like you did well with traveling and eating. Way to go. Only4me, how you doing? Sounds like you have your hands full. lornajh, I'm with you on the food demons. It will be great not to think about food all the time anymore. Well, I got on my insurance website yesterday, and they've already sent the payment to the hospital for my bill, so my refund should be coming this week, hopefully!!! I go to the physicologist tomorrow for my post op appointment. Anyone else seeing the physicologist post surgery? I think it good to stay on track. I've already seen the dietician, and she told me I didn't have to see her again, unless I wanted to, but if it helps keep me on track, then I think it's great to utilize them. Besides, they are free with my program fee I've already paid. Seems my food demons are starting to subside for me. I don't crave sweets like I used to, and I'm trying to stay away from carbs, but still adding a few each day. I'm getting tired of scrambled eggs for Breakfast. Anyone else having a high Protein breakfast that is not a shake or have a lot of carbs in it??? I've been eating turkey bacon with my eggs. I'm still eating the bacon, minus the eggs. This morning I had it with a SF pudding. Maybe I'll make the breakfast casserole. Excercising is ok, not where I want it to be, but I'm getting there. Can't wait for the fall weather to begin. So much nicer to walk outside.

dmtjet, I used to live on tums before surgery. The day of surgery they gave me a RX for pepcid and I took it for a month. Even now I've been of of it for a few weeks, but have had no heartburn what so ever. It's great. Marcy, I can feel my port just standing up. It's weird, but I can also feel what I think is the band. It is about 2 1/2 inches above where they put my fill in, and I have a small incision there, so I'm sure this is where they used the instruments to lock the band in place. I had my DH feel it the other night. He got cold chills!! Congrats on the fill.

Laurend, that makes sense. I think I'm going to wait until the 31 for my next fill. I'm still losing, very little, but it's a loss none the less. It's hard because I've never had a full feeling before. I'm only had that 'way too full feeling' where I feel I need to get sick to be comfortable. So I think it will take some getting used to the feeling I have after I eat and realizing this is what full feels like, or this is what will hold me over until my next meal. Thanks!

Only4me, that's great. Let's keep it up, and we can be #1 in no time!!

Jackie, I know exactly how you feel, this is how I was last week. The plateau is bound to hapen to everyone, and the gain could be from muscle. You've been excercising a lot, and following eating guidelines, so it will work itself out. Mine did this week. It's been 2 1/2 weeks since my fill, and I finally lost again. I think out bodies just need time to catch up to our new lifestyle, that's all. I know it's easier to dish out the advice than to take it, because I was in your shoes last week, but everyones advice helped me get through it, and hopefully this will help you too. Kepp doing what you're doing, and things will work out. silntwhispers, "sliming" is when you burp and liquids come back up, and a "PB" is when you burp and food comes back up. Kathy, it stinks when vacation is over, but you'll be leaving again soon, for a vacation with your DH!! Does he know yet??? Laurend, I called the Dr.'s and they said they would get me in for a fill if I didn't have any restriction, but that's just it, I can't tell if I do feel restriction. I portion out my 4 ozs, and I stop. Most of the time I eat all 4 ozs, a few times I've stopped before I eat all 4. I feel like I have the control now, so I don't know where the restriction is. After the 4 ozs I'm satisfied, I feel like I could eat more, but would be miserable if I do, so I stop. It's usually about 2 1/2 hours later when my belly starts to growl again, and I eat about 3 hours apart. So what has your schedule been like? How much are you eating now? Just wanted to compare notes to see if I should be going in for my fill before the 31st. Caolin, great job at the restraunt. Isin't it amazing to think back on what we used to eat to feel full compared to what we eat now. Well, I need to go make some breakfast or everyone. They get chocolate chip pancakes, and I'm not even going to be tempted after the chocolate chip cookie I ate 2 nights ago, and felt so sick afterwards, and had the runs yesterday from it. It was no fun!!

vipertireswife, welcome to the Lucky 7's. Kristin, it doe get beter after the fill, but it may take a second one to really make you feel a difference. jackie, I hope you like Turbo Jam. I'll hopefully be getting my Hip Hop Abs next weekend. Isn't it amazing how crazy the insurance companies can be. Aunt Phyl, too old??????? No way. silntwhispers, I eat around 4 ozs, every 3 hours, about 5 to 6 times a day. lindaa, never heard of the breath test. I wonder if they can check that through blood work, cause I had a lot of that taken before surgery!!! ssankofa, my doc said wheneve I felt like I was ready. Then I had a hard time convincing my DH of it, but you'll know.

Marcy, I'll have to watch for that commercial now. It sounds like it was a good one. Jackie, you mentioned the Dairy Queen. We live 1 block from our DQ, and I've been so good, haven't been since before pre banding, but OMG, my DH brings it home for him and my son about 3 times a week. I haven't caught myself drooling yet, but them Hunter gets a cup with sprinkles and eyeballs, and DH gets a shake, and I've had enough of those lately, so they don't bother me. Caolin, already in the next size down, how wonderful. dmtjet, I remember riding like it was yesterday. I loved it, and my ex was an experienced rider. My DH is not experienced, at all, and it really scares me to imagine myself on the back with him. But when I was with my ex, I used to drive his bike, just around the park, or in a large grassy area. I loved it. I felt cool. I used to have dreames I pulled up to work on it, or I was riding around on it. I actually layed it down at the park one day. I thought my ex was going to kiill me, but I didn't do any damage!

Well, I didn't get my aerobics in today. I had a dr. appointment after wok, then I came home and baked about 5 dozen cookies for a bake sale tomorrow at work. Afte that, I made dinner, and finally sat down for the first time around 6pm. I'm so tired, and I still need a shower, so that's where i'm headed and then to bed. I'll have to do double tomorrow, but that's ok. Have a great night everyone!!
-
jackie, thanks for the recipes. There's some great ones for fish, which I always have a hard time with, because I'm the only one who will eat it, but it will help me while making single portions.
-
Kathy, OMG, ROTFLOL at the pee pee story. My DH told me last night that yesterday morning he went to change Hunter's pull up, and when he pulled them down, Hunter screamed, "Daddy, somethings wrong with my wingdinger, it's hard" (don't ask, but this is what he calls it) My DH burst out laughing and said he had to go pee pee. And he's only 3, so I can relate. I also like the answer you gave your DH about the bike! Caolin, congrats on 299. Chris, don't you just hate to sit and watch them eat all the junk food in front of you. Sometimes, it is empowering to say no to it though!!
-
Dini, there you are!!! Hunter is better, he's asleep in the chair and I'm getting him ready to go up to bed now. Did you get my message about the powder?? lindaa, wow, that's a lot of food. We have a similar event here called the Taste of Cincinnati whee all the restraunts set up booths memorial Day weekend. It's been a few years since I've been to it, but boy do I remember all the yummy things they served up. There is so many social events centered around food. Another reason why the obese rate is so high. Have a great night everyone. Heading to bed.
-
Kathy, my DH wants a bike too, and I just keep telling him 'no', but because I went through a bad ordeal with my ex and his accident. He wants me to ride on the back, and I just laugh. All I keep thinking is that he weighs about 150, and he probably can't even hold that bike up with me on it. Maybe things will change when I reach my goal.
-
Marcy, same here with the leftovers. I always end up taking them for lunch the next day, but I am learning to freeze any right away, as they can always be re-heated in the microwave easily. I must say this is bad, but when my step kids come over everyother other weekend, I end up feeding some to them for lunches. They didn't have them the first time around, so I guess they can't be leftovers to them,LOL!!

only4me, yes they are infomercial DVD's. I love it because it's fun, and the lady walks you through all the steps slowly in a learn and burn session at the beginning. You can research it at beachbody.com. I have a friend that's going to try to copy her Hip Hop Abs for me. I also have the Biggest Loser workout DVD, but don't like it as much at the Turbo Jam. Kathy, sound like you're getting back on track. Are you drinking more liquids now? Could be the cause of your "loose"times. Jackie, you sound like everyone else just waiting for your fill. It will come soon, just like the surgery did. Hang in there.
-
Laurend, you were not stubborn, you were probably just doing what your body was telling you to do, stop eating. Just think, this world might not be as obese as it is if we were not all forced to eat food we didn't want at a young age. This has probably stayed with many of us through the years. I just hope by doing this surgery, others will learn from this, and stop forcing food on little ones when their young. I did it again, Turbo Jammimg away in my living room with my son. He loved it yesterday, and today he told me he wanted to excercise, so we did it again, about 35 minutes. I'm on a roll!!!
-
Dini, oh Dini, where are you, we miss you!!!!

I'm sure you all realize I meant to type 211.6. If I was 111.6, I wouldn't be here,LOL!! ssankofa, I know the feelings you're describing. My thing was i I didn't eat my dinner, I didn't get desserts. Maybe that's why I have such a sweet tooth, or shall I say, teeth cause there's more than one of them!! I always got the story, "there's children starving in Ethiopia that would make a whole days meal out of what you have left on your plate" I'm getting better. I startd doing this with my son, but no more. If he's not hungry, then his plate sits at the table until he goes to bed. At least then, he has a chance later to eat it, and if not, he gets no sweets, only fruit or cheese, something healthy.

Aunt Phyl, it was so good to hear from you. Sorry your DH is on your eating style, but we've only just began this journey, so you need to tell him to back off a little because this could go on for years, and you don't want it to. Happy Anniversary, and many more!! Kathy, you'll get back on track, especially once you get back to work. yummieT, welcome to the Lucky 7's. malaura, have your tried the low fat or fat free milk. It's not too bad. Sorry I can't help you out with the incision pain as I've not had any in a while, since the surgery. jeanie, love the pic. How cool is that. frustrated, thanks for sharing your story. I'm a member of that clean your plate club, and I too have to just get used to throwing food away. Let it go to "waste", and not our "waist",LOL!! So my little guy is doing better today. He was so sick last night, but don't know what from. Oh well, glad it's over. I did get in about 10 minute of arm weights before he stated getting sick, and this morning my Turbo Jamming paid off. I finally broke my 212 and weighed in at 111.6 this morning. Yes, I needed the pick me up.
-
only4me, I use the Jay Robbs unflavored powder, and I taste a small flavor to it the first couple of bits of something, and then it's gone. I added a whole scoop to my oatmeal yesterday, and then added 2 packs of spenda. I couldn't taste it at all. When I use it in cottage cheese, I also add some salt which takes the flavor away too. I can't taste it in my chicken salad recipe at all with all the other ingredients. It's really not bad, and I think you acquire a taste for it once you've had it a few times.
-
Chim, glad to hear you're feeling better about it, and that you've brushed it off already. I liked my band busters comment also, LOL. ssankofa, it does feel good after getting things out when you've screwed up. Not only is it a huge weight of your shoulders, but it may help you or someone else stay on their path. We've all said it before, we're all in this together, and we're our best supporters!! Tennille, congrats on getting the fill date moved up. The time will fly by for you. I just jumped back on the band wagon. I did my Turbo Jam DVD for 30 minutes. It feels great knowing I did something other than just sitting here, typing away. I'm off to do some weights. Need to trim my fat arms up. Can't have a thin waist, turbo abs, and flabby arms. I'll check back in later.
-
Chim, it's so easy to think because you skipped a meal, you can splurge, but I've noticed I can't. I can still only eat about 5 ozs. max at a meal. I just did this. Actually, I didn't eat my 2:30 snack today (wasn't hungry, so I wasn't going to force myself), and at 5:30 when it was time for dinner, I noticed my thinking went back to WW for a minute, and I was thinking I had saved some points from not eating at 2:30, but I'm not on WW, I'm on BAND BUSTERS, and can still only eat a small amount. I made a 4 oz turkey burger with a slice of cheese on it, and had about 10 pieces of, don't laugh, spongebob mac and cheese, and I couldn't finish about an once of the burger, or about 3 pieces of the mac and cheese. But you live and learn, and I have had a few bites of of a tortilla too. It just doesn't taste as good anymore. cazulay, great job on the body measurements. The night before surgery I told my DH to get the digital camera and meet me in our room (he got all excited, but it wasn't what he was thinking) I had him take pics of me in a tight workout outfit, and took my meaurements. I've decided to remeasure every 2 months, and take new pics. I've got 2 more weeks. Sunny, keep up the self control. The fill will be here before you know it. It is outrageous that the healthy foods are so much more expensive, but we're eating such a little amount, it should even out eventually like you said.
