forgve70x7, when I first started reading your post I thought you were joking with me since I've been sitting on this computer all the time since I've been home from the hospital. It's true, I have been, but I have no pain to sit down. I have sat for a long time. Then I get up and walk. Make sure you stop for potty breaks and walk a little at the same time for the gas pains. Just bring a pillow for the ride home, and a blanket. If you can recline, you can sleep. Take yourself a pain killer, and you're good to go. Or try one of Snaggletooths "clear liquid" drinks- just kidding!!! frustrated, we're all Dini's little sausages. It's an Irish thing, but so cute. No, you can't eat us!!!

snaggletooth, will do with the recipes. I'm going to try cinnamon and splenda in my vanilla protein shake next. Maybe it will taste like those Snickerdoodle cookies!!!:omg: Well there's my little Ireland sausage. You may have not been mentioned in the past 3 pages, but are thought about often.

Snaggletooth, so sorry about your visitor. Was it that time? Maybe you're just stressing, and it will be gone tomorrow? Yes, mourning is ok. A lot of people do this at some point before, but it's really nothing to worry about. You'll be fine. Just remember, it's only going away for a short time. You'll be able to eat most foods again just not in the amounts you're used to. Just think, you can party with your Protein shakes, and a little "Spike" or two!! Hey, I'll keep bringing on the new concoctions I'm trying. I'm telling ya, keep it interesting and this liquid diet is in the bag!!!:whoo: Welcome suzielondon, and congrats on your July date. gladster12, what your mom said is true, and we also have to try a little harder to be accepted, and that's not right either.

dmtjet, the strips are nice becaue they just melt on your tongue, no chewing involved. I got the cinnamon flavored, and they taste pretty good. You can take 2 to 4 at a time.

dmtjet, I am feeling that good. I haven't taken too much of the pain meds, and I've only taken 1 pain pill earlier today, before I went for my first 1/2 hour walk. Once I get going, I feel great. I haven't even used my liquid tylenol at all. I am however using the gas x strips. They help a lot.

coltonwade, I don't have a gazelle, but I would ask your Dr. about it. I can't picture what this machine looks like, but is it like a glider? This may be too much because if you're moving your arms too much, you'll be pulling your stomach muscles, where the cuts are.

dmtjet, my Dr. said walking was good for the gas pains, but never really gave me a limit on it. I've been going out 3 times a day for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. I can't do any other other aerobics until 4 weeks post op. I'm feeling very well at this point, but I don't want to overdue it. I just stay around my street so if I do start feeling bad, I'm close to home.

Chimboree, I don't think it's shallow to be well groomed either. I take care of myself, when I want to. When I'm at home, I don't care how I look. When my DH and I go out, I want to look fine for him, and so other men might say WOW, look what he's got. I do up my hair, which is always getting compliments, and my make up. I do think I have a pretty face, I just hate hearing it from others because I think "Is this is the only thing they can compliment me on"!!

jukntrnk, I decided my own goal weight, so far. Maybe it's something my Dr. will talk about once I get my check up, but so far, nothing has been said on it. I have the 132 goal for the 100 lb loss. I'd still be thrilled with 140, a 92 lb. loss. Hey I'm thrilled with the 8 lbs I've lost already!! I've been doing great, out walking up and down my street to relieve the gas. The best part is I am sleeping well, with no pain, but I'm in my recliner in the livingroom. I'm going to wait until next week to try the bed for the first time. Mango24, welcome to the Lucky 7's. jukntrnk, Welcome, glad you found us. We have a great support group here. FYI, the sipping thing is getting to me too. I was banded on Monday and I think I'm drinking too fast. Have to slow down some, but it's not bad. Next year is going to be great. Can't wait!!

Jessica, sounds like you're doing everything right, it just takes time. I was banded on Monday and I feel the same way. You should drop in on the monthly support group for July 07 banders called Lucky # Sevens. We have about 70 people there that are getting banded in July this year. We'd be excited to have you come join us for support.

You may get more replies if you post under local lapband support in Tennessee. Just a suggestion for you.

Linda, I was just banded on Monday 7/2. I lost 4 pounds over the weekend because of nerves, and 4 since Monday. You should come join the July 07 Bandsters on the monthly support group. Sunny, Sunny, aren't you funny:eyebrows:. Ok, so I don't know how I'm gonna make it 4 weeks at home when I'm only 3 days in, and this bored. But as soon as I can drive, I'll be out shopping for smaller clothes!!! And I've been walking, and taking naps during the day too. Frusterated, I hear you loud and clear. In intimate situations, I'm ready to be done in 15 minutes, but look forward to something longer once I get this weight off. I'll probably end up "killing my DH" when all is said and done.:phanvan Dini, what size is your band? Mine is only 4cc, and your ready for a 3cc fill??? When do you go to the Dr. next? I'd have them check for a leak. You should not be so hungry with a fill already. You're scaring me girl!! You should let your daughter dance in the rain!!! I'm sure she's a cuttie, puttie in that tu-tu.

Danny, that's great that your wife can go with you. Have a safe trip, and you have my best wishes for a safe return home, and a speedy recovery. Mindy, Don't worry about it. I've been going outside and walking up and down the street and I wear a swim suit coverup with my shorts. It's so big, no one even notices. I don't think I look any different than before surgery, not that noticable anyway. Dini, I hear you on the friend thing. I have few friends, but they are good friends. That's how I like it. I can count on everyone of them. My one closest friend had RNY about 5 years ago. She lost 125 lbs and has kept it off, but still is bigger. She'd love to lose another 100, but she also need to have some skin removed. She just had her last child about a year and a half ago, she just doesn't have the time to go and do it. She wishes me the best, and is very supportive. Love her like a SIS as i always say, even though I have a sis. So I didn't waist any time changing my ticker as you can see. Had to go back to tickerfactory.com to do it though. I thought you could just go to edit signature and do it, but didn't work.

Dini, you are tooooo funny girl.:heh: Yes, I still have the pregnant belly. But people know better than to ask me if I'm pregnant, my Dh was fixed last year. He has 2 kids from a previous marriage, and we have Hunter together, and that is enough for my full house. So I guess this bloating last longer than a few day. WOW, I may have lost more and I don't even know it yet. Awesome!!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2:

OK everyone, here's some great news.:heh: I went upstairs to get my things to paint my nails, it's been bothering me since I had to take my polish off for surgery, and I haven't been out to get them done. So I decided to just do it myself. So I go up into my bathroom, and there's the SCALE, you know, that unfriendly face we've seen all too often with the numbers that just go higher and higher every time we step on it. Yeah, I told myself I was taking the batteries out and hiding it, but I didn't, and there it sat, just looking a me, wanting me to step on "and take a ride.":phanvan So I did. I closed my eyes, and then slightly opened them, only to see that I had LOST 4 MORE POUNDS!!!!!!!!! OMG, that's 8 pounds total since the weekend, and 4 lbs of it since Monday morning when I weighed before surgery.:nervous I can't remember the last time I lost 8 lbs, in a week. I don't think I ever have.:mad: So, this thing works, y'all. We've finally found something that works. Praise the Lord!!:whoo: DINI, maybe my LEGS are geting THINNER!!!!!:welldone:

Hey Dini, My little man came home last night. I was reminding him that mommy has booboos on my belly so he wouldn't hit me. He craws up into the chair with me on my left side, and just lays with me. He told me he wanted to rub my booboos and kiss them so they'd get better.:kiss Gotta love him. He can be sweet at times, but is usually a rambunctious 3 year old boy, ALL boy. He's gone again to MIL's today until my DH gets done with work. I think by Saturday I'll be ok to handle him by myself. I do miss him so.:cry
