nurse76, sounds like we had about the same great experience with surgery, and we had it on the same day. Kristin07, I know I have to take a multi-vitamin everyday now after being banded. Check with your Dr. to make sure. I just got the generic Flinstones, and I've been sharing with my son. Start making your list for the hospital, and your grocery list. This should take some time. Maybe start sampling the Protein powders if you haven't already. Find everything you can in sugar free like puddings, Jello, etc. There's so much out there we can have post op, you don't realize it until you shop and take your time. Welcome back cazulay. A week of no cooking for me has been great, but it came to an end today when my DH asked for biscuits and sausage gravy. I didn't mind too much because he's helped me out so much this past week after surgery, and I really don't like it all that much, so it wasn't to bad making it for him. Besides, he's been getting fast food for himself all week, and I kinda felt sorry for him! Dini, sorry I missed you. I've been palying with Hunter a lot today. The child loves legos, and I don't think I've ever really palyed with them, and it's pretty darn fun!! Then we took a walk up to the firestation. He loves the trucks, and they let him sit in both of them that they have and the ambulance. He had a ball. Now he'll want to go everyday, and that's fine cause I plan on walking a lot. Hope everyone had a great day. I'm turning in soon, just one more thing I want to research. G'nite all.

Hello all, I don't have one, YET, but really hoping to get a few last questions answered from the ones who have it. 1. Do you type your foods for the day into the BB or the computer? 2. Do you have to type in everything you eat in the morning, or do you do as you eat something? 3. Does it just plugg into your computer and download all your information there. Then you can tell what you have left to burn to lose a calorie? This almost sounds too good to be true. I'm only 6 days post op, so I'm losing a lot each day still, but for later on, this sounds like a really great thing to have. Thanks for your replies in advance.

Welcome nurse76. I see you found us. I just sent you a PM about 10 minutes ago. Caolin, the gas is gone today. Hooray. Hope you're feeling better about everything. chickb13, I think we have all thought about what it's going to be like on the other side of all of this, and I don't think it will be easy, but I think it will get easier on us, day by day, as we feel stronger, and healthier, and we'll slowly gain a little more self esteem. I think if you think positive, then positive things will come your way. james2539, maybe what your feeling right now is what they call the mourning of the food stage. Your thinking about what you'll have to give up, and it is hard. No one said it was going to be easy, and you're allowed to feel this. Know your doing the right thing, and keep that in your mind. Hope you're feeling better and best of luck tomorrow. Let us know how it goes. ribearty, good luck on your liquid diet starting tomorrow. I feel for you. Dini, I went out shopping today, SHOE shopping. Got another pair of flip flops for my summer collection. My son got a pair too. His velcro isn't working well on his old pair (my excuess to get him a pair) Chimboree, hope you're ok. Haven't seen a post recently. Sunny, lindaa, how ya doing. Your remodeling so close to surgery. Your all are brave. dmtjet, good luck tomorrow. I am thankful for a DH that has been very helpful and supportive through this whole thing, so far, and my son, who's been giving the booboos on my belly kisses so they get better. I'm thankful that other than weight, I am a very healthy 35 year old. I'm thankful for my friends, most of whom support me more than my mother, and that I have a job that allows me to take 4 weeks off to recovery physically and mentally from this surgery. I'm thankful that I had to work hard for everything that I have, because I appreciate it more. And last, but definitely not least, I'm thankful for GAS-X!:clap2:

I can't seem to get the picture of the bracelet laying flat to copy, but you get the idea anyway. Nothing fancy, but I don't ever have to take it off to shower or swim. It's 10k gold.

This is the medical ID bracelet I ordered. Just wanted to see if this works or not.

Good Morning Lucky Seven Bandsters!!!!!!!!! What a beautiful Sunday morning it is here:cool:. I promised myself a little outing today:whoo:, so you'll be glad to know I won't be siting on my computer all day long:ranger:, again, like I've been for the last 6 days. chubby buddy, welcome to the Lucky 7's. We're a comical bunch around here:eyebrows:, and I seem to think it's a great support group too. Hope you like us as much as we do. Coltonwade, I'll try to get a picture on here of my ID bracelet. And check with your surgeon about the pedicure thing. I wasn't allowed to have toe nail or fingernail polish on during surgery:mad:. Just an FYI. Marcy, do you know I laid in bed last night for the first time since surgey, and I had pain in my port area for 15 to 20 minutes:omg:. I laughed so hard last night, I actually started thinking a poped a stitch or something:eek:. So no hard laughing until all is healed. caolin, I know it's not this week:(, but your surgery will be here before you know it. At least you got in earlier for the sleep study;). Just remember, God has his plan for you and his reasoning behind the date change. I know it sucks, but hang in there with us. appleblossom, best of luck to you.:whoo: I didn't realize you'd be leaving already. Hope you have a smooth recovery, and let us know how everything goes for you. Your in our prayes. Chimchimorie, Chimboree, where have you been. Hope you're feeling better:sick and don't have that infection you thought you might be getting. Dini Bambini, what fun I had last night.:clap2: I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Laughing is so good for the soul, just not good for your port!!!!

Dini, I was just going to get going myself. I have some things to do before I hit the bed tonight. Have a good evening everyone!!!!
-
Dini, I just looked it up and there is no age limit on calling women BABES!! We're all going to be babes very shortly, so we should at least get used to it right. Oh, and the men are going to be STUDS. Can't forget the men in the group.
-
Dini, maybe some surgeons put the port in deeper than others, or you just have thin skin in that area. I believe you, I just can't feel mine. I still have medical tape over the incision and around that area. I don't even know how long the cut is. I'm scared to feel around it too much since the incision isn't healed yet. I don't want to move anything in there and screw it up.
-
dmtjet, yeah, I'm figuring I'll stretch it out about another week or so, and then I'll pitch in and help him.
-
Dini, maybe they we're having a BOGO sale they day you went in. That's not fair. Hehehehehe
-
Jessica, we've been a little slap happy tonight. Just having fun!!
-
Dini, maybe they gave you 2 of them!!Hehehehehe. Have them check at your apointment.
-
Well hello miss Kathybad.
-
NO, we don't want that. But isn't there some stairs he could 'accidently' fall down!!!
-
Dini, I know what you mean. I have the broad build too. No one believes me when I say I weight 232. They guess me around 190.

I wish. But I have the tire thing going on around my waist and lower
-
Heck yeah, he's doing wash, and dishes, picking up around the house. He went night fishing tonight with the kids and my FIL, so I've got the house to myself. He has been good this week.
-
Just don't tell my DH how well I'm doing. I'm enjoying my break right now, if you catch my drift!!!!
-
Yes, I can cross one leg onto the other already. Bring up my foot and paint. No pain.
-
DIni, what is your weight right now if you don't mind me asking??? I'm 232, and I carry a lot in my belly.
-
Dini, I have a belly covering it, and a roll underneath it!!! I really can't feel it. I still have prego belly remember???
-
Dini, you must be way smaller than I because I did paint my toe nails last night, and I got no "bounce". Now I'm jealous. I'm not bouncing!!!!
-
Dini, your port pops out???????
-
I sneezed today and didn't feel it as much as I do now laughing.
