Dini, I can't believe him. You should know what you can and can't have, so I'd tell him to lay off. What is he thinking????????? He's not, and that's the problem. Dini, I can see 4 of 5 incisions so far, not scared yet. The 4 I can see are only 1/2 inch long, the other which is still covered by medical tape is at least 1 1/4 inches, maybe 1 1/2 inches long. I can't believe the tape hasn't fell off yet. I think we want to do a Caribbean Cruise, unless someone has any other ideas. We'll need that tropical paradise after the hell we're going to go through, right!!!LOL.

So dieka, coming CRUISING with us?? Sounds like a blast, doesn't it. I can't believe I did restrain myself on the batter, because I normally lick everything clean, but being banded has put this fear into me that if I eat something I shouldn't then I will pay for it, and I don't want to pay for anything else, it's already costed my over $16,000!!!!

JDKbsgirl, if you're going to be off for a while and have the time, please help us out!!! I can do the research, but don't really know what to look for, you know, all the extra's we could get. That would be great if you could look into it and help us out. Thanks a bunch. I'm going to have to try your shake. I've been putting the peanutbutter in my chocolate shake the last 2 days, but I haven't put any fruit in yet. Ok, I'm done putting icing on the cake. DH loves when I make the 2- 8' round cakes and put them on top of each other with icing inbetween and all around. I didn't taste a bit, I had to scrape the container dry to get every inch covered of the cake.

Cool, I can check it out in a little bit, I have to icing these cakes now and get dinner going. I'll check out prices for Carnival also so we can compare. Should I check out 5 day or 7 day or both? I think 3 is just too short and not worth it, we'll not want to leave after only 3 days.

Good thing, cause I wouldn't be able to fly to you, oh yeah, we already covered that one didn't we. But you could also meet us at one of the ports, don't the cruises stop at ports along the way?

I'd see if anyone on here has been on a cruise before to see if we have any ideas of what cruise lines to use, I can only think of Carnival, but maybe someone else has had an experience with another. Then we start looking into dates, for how many days do we want to go, where we stop, and how do we get over to Ireland to see you.

We should make it in August when everyone has had their Bandaversary, hey 08/08/08, and I just checked the calendar and it's a Friday, how COOL is that!!!!!

I had the sink all cleared out, and I put the dishes in water as soon as I was done pouring batter. I did good!!!

Alright, I did it, cake is in the oven, and I didn't lick a thing, except my lips!!So where is everybody?? I've been cleaning on and off all day. I'm actually taking a break now, we all need breaks once in a while. Getting dinner started soon. Hope everyone is having a great day.

I know it will hard leaving for a few days, especially the kids, but they'll be getting a whole new improved mom when you get home, so remember that when it gets hard. I too messed up a lot of things at work the few days before surgery. I think it's normal to be shaking, with excitement about the unknown. Let us know how you're doing when you get back. Dieka32, I agree you're doing the best thing you can (cleaning)to keep your mind off the food, and coming here to visit us, too. I was so glad I had a clean house to come home to. It only lasted a week, because I'm cleaning again today, but it was a nice week off for me. No worries, just total rest and relaxation. So you joining us on our Lucky 7 July 08 cruise. Wouldn't that be a great time. Oh the looks we will get!!! We'd be out of control!!

Dini, that's the sailing I'm taling about. Our Bandiversary Cruise. I'd love to it money permits. I thought I'd start saving, but man I just keep spending, and I'm sure once I get smaller it won't be stopping anytime soon,LOL. james2539, welcome to Bandland. So I was bad and got on the darn scale again this morning. NO LOSS, and then I realized my "Aunt" is coming to town any day now. I hate it because she always comes unannounced. Don't you just hate unannounced guests!!!!! SO RUDE!!!!!!

Great job Nicole. So did your Dr. ever come in? Did you get to go home last night or did you spend the night there? Lots of "Aunts" have been visiting for our female banders. So sorry to hear your's didn't want to stay at home yesterday,LOL. I've been drinking a lot faster this week. Not gulping, but a few swallows at a time at least. There's only so much time, and a lot of water to get in.

Dini, I'm so jealous, you've been to all these cool places, only most Americans can dream of going too. Too cool. Remember our Carribean Cruise. I can go anywhere on a boat, forever. Love to sail, only I've never been on a cruise. My aunt had a huge boat, when I was about 14, 15 years old. That's the last time I can remember wearing a MONO BIKINI- remember those. It was a bikini where the top and bottom attached at the sides. The whole belly and back area were open, like a bikini. Oh brother, those were the days. Anyway, I went out with her often on her boat. So I can cruise to see you. unruhlyhd, I use Jay Bobbs unflavored Protein powder. I found it at a healthy alternatives store near where I live. I know his products sell in Biggs, but I think it's local too. You can order on line at Jayrobb.com. I paid $27.95 for 24 oz. I like it better than the unjury I tried in my taste test class. As for shakes, I just use the powder, skim milk and ice. I do use the slim fast optima. Love the Cappuccino flavor, and I mix it with vanilla powder. It's creamy and smooth. Also, try the vanilla with some cinnammon and a splenda pack, or what ever artificial sweetner you use. It's good.
