Hello all, Sounds like everyone is doing well around the Lucky 7 thread, especially Frustrated, who needs to change her name now, because you can't be frustrated with anything now that you have the weight loss and a boob job. Merry X-mas to you!!!! To date, I'm down 42 lbs. I'm very excited to be in a misses 14 now, and a large top. I hope to be at 50lbs down by X-mas, and I'll be half way there to my 100 lb. goal by my birthday, June 17. I've not been excerciing much at all, so once I get going in that department, I hope it just starts falling off of me. We had Huntr's picture taken with Santa tonight at the mall. It's the first time I've been there since my surgery, and I was so excited to go into the clothing shops and look around, just because it felt comfortable to be in there now that I can fit into the clothes there.

Hey guys, Just checking in. It's been a while, and although I'm struggling with 2 jobs, and trying to get my excercise in, I'm still down to 195, so somethings working!! Hope everyone is enjoying the nice fall weather, and the time change. Sure beats those 100 degree days of July!! After my 3rd fill, I find I can't tolerate breads what so ever, but crackers are still ok. Had a few sips of coke, but it doesn't even taste the same anymore. Had a great time trick or treating with Hunter this year. He was tired after about an hour, but he ended up with over 5 pounds of candy, OMG. We've limited it to 3 pieces a day, and I think he's ok with that. Last year with him only being 2 was only a practice run for this year, but still I ended up up with so much candy, I threw some of it out. I'll probably do the same this year too, but my step kids who are older now and don't go will help him eat it all. As long as I stay out of it, I'm good!! Hope everyone's doing well, and losing. I'll check back later.

I think it worked. You can't tell how excited he is, can you!!!!

Here goes nothing, hope this doesn't screw things up for you. I'm trying to attach a picture of Hunter. Hunters 1st day of preschool.2.doc

WOW Phyl, the difference is wonderful. I thing it will take a little bit for us to see the difference in photo's but we'll get there right!! Hello all, Hunter finally started pre-school this week. He just loves it, especially riding the bus. I'm going to try and post a pic of him on the bus, my mom actually got on the bus and took it, with all the other kids on there. She was so excited, as were we all. Waiting on my fill on Monday. I've been out walking this week, whick should be helping some. It's finally raining here, so it's hindered me a few times, but we need the rain badly. Hope everyone's having a great week. TGIF tomorrow, I'm ready for the weekend.

Kathy- Florida was fun, we went to the Tampa Zoo, and went on a dolphin watching boat ride. It was fabulous. I know I'll get the pds down after my fill. I like you did not want to get it before vacation in case I had any problems with it. I didn't want to go to a hospital that may not have known anything about the band. Brandy- as far as testing the band, in my opinion for myself, I don't feel like I am testing it. I'm used to eating until I feel the sense of being satisfied. I don't feel satisfied with the 4 ozs. that used to fill me up now, so I may go to 6 or 8 ozs. Yes, I admit I ate foods that were not on my list, but it is very hard to stay on a strict paln when you are out of town, visiting relatives that have no idea that you had the surgery. Every meal was difficult for me. If I didn't eat it all, I was asked why, was I not feeling good, or was the food bad, and if I only ordered a salad, I was asked to try someone elses meal, just for a taste. So yes, I know I went over board, but I did get in more excercise then I had been getting in, so I felt that I did ok. I know the things I can't eat, and I don't try to get them through, because they will not go. I was a self payer, as I didn't end up getting my refund for surgery after all, so my money is very important to me, and I didn't spend $17,000 to not have results. The band is a wonderful thing, and I will never take it for granted.

Hello all, Just got back from Florida. Had a great time, but did gain a few pounds back, so I'm at 202-203 now. But fill number 3 is coming up on Oct. 22, so hopefully I'll start losing again. I'm at the point I can eat a lot, but still can't get toasted breads or bagels to go down at all. Wierd. Hope everyone is losing, and have a great weekend.

Hey guys, Well, I did it. I reached my first goal. I'm now a member of the ONDERLAND group. I hit 199.4 on Sunday morning.:whoo: If I didn't have to go into work then, I probably would of taken 10 minutes to just cry I was so happy. But I had to get to work, so there was no time for that, but what a great day I had. We leave for Florida tomorrow evening :clap2:to go see my grandma. We're so ready for this trip. I've decided to take on a part time job along with my full time job to help out our financial situation, so extra time is few and far in between for me now. But I just had to come on and let you all know I was still alive, and losing the weight. Hope everyone else is doing good too. I read back a few pages, and everyone seems to have had there second fill already, and lots of pounds are dropping all over the thread. Have a great week. And I'll try to stop in every now and again to let you know how I'm doing.

Hey all, Sorry I haven't been on much, but I guess I'm finally getting back into the swing of life. I've been spending so much time with Hunter, and playing, and I get out so much more now. It's great for me, but it sure takes away from computer time. Things are going good. I'm down to 202, 30 lbs gone forever. Feels great, and I've had lots of compliments, which feels even better. Onederland, here I come. I hope i get thee before vacation in a week. Hope everyone is doing well, and losing lots of weight. I'll check in when I can. Have a great weekend.

Hey all, Phyl, it was Laurend that was keeping all the stats. I'm no good with numbers, LOL!! Marcy, so you got some BLING for your anniversary!! Whoo-hoo, you go girl. My 5 year is coming up in 2 weeks, but bon't expect any of that. We'll be in Florida on vacation for our anniversary, and that's enough of a present for me. So I did get some bad news, but figured it was coming sooner than later, but the hospital will not be refunding my $9600. They tipped off the insurnace of their mistake, and the insurance co. will be getting their $1600 refund for paying by mistake. Sucks, but oh well. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, even for the self pay. It's been worth it.

Hello Lucky 7's. Sorry I've been gone, computer problems really got bad, but it's fixed. Someone came yesterday and added more memory to my computer. It's been working ok so far. Don't have time to go back and read everything, but I hope everyone is doing well. I'm down to 204, so it's still coming off slowly, but coming off none the less. Still waiting to get Hunter into preschool, as they are waitin on paperwork still. I'll try to check in later, but we're heading to my moms today in a little bit, and we have my step kids this weekend, so my step son gets on this computer too, so I'll try. Hope everyone has a great day, and I'll try to check back and get back into things tonight. Any good news happening around the thread?? Any other NSV to talk about. I had 2 associates at work in the last 2 days tell me I was getting 'SKINNY'. Now that is a great NSV for me. My name and skinny have never been thought about in the same sentence ever before. Please help catch me up to speed!!

ssankofa, I admire your motivation to get out and walk everyday and post it at the end of your posts. Once I get going, it's hard for me to stop to, so hopefully, I'll be able to post all my excercise at the end of the posts here soon.

Phyl, so sorry the restraunt couldn't make special arrangements for us bariatric patrons, so it's their loss. I wonder if they have carry out???? If she was nasty about it, I'd let her know that you'll be letting others in on the fact that they shouldn't go there if they expect to get what they pay for. Our Golden Corral is like that. A nurse in my doc office had bypass 2 years ago, and she went there and tried to order a childs dinner buffet. They refused, so she said she'd be letting all of her patients at the office know about it. Now, they probably won't be going out of business any time soon, but we did go there to eat about 3 to 4 times a year and if you multiply that times the number of patients that have ate there in recent years, and their families, then you can see they are losing out on some business. I believe as the trend grows here in the US for bariatric surgeries, that more and more food joints will realize that people are just trying to control their portions, and they'll have to bend the rules to keep up with the trend. Persistance is the key. AppleBlossom, inline skating sounds like fun, but we don't really have anywhere here to do it. I bed you'll have some killer calf muscles after all that!! Marcy, you're so funny. You've spent all this time raising those chickens, and can't even enjoy them. Oh well, you did get all the crab meat, which I'm still jealous of!! I'm starting to think you were a little "wild" in your pre-kids days with your comments about doing anything once!! Shannon, that's a tough decision to make about the fill. I'd question myself as to whether or not I was getting all my protein and liquids in each day before making a decision. If your absolutely sure you're getting all the requirements in from your doctor, then it seems it may be time for a fill. Or, you could try to up the numbers. If your doc requires 60 grams of protein a day, try to up it to 70 to see if it makes a difference. For myself, I'm to get in 55 to 70 a day, but the more protein I eat, the fuller I stay. I can eat a 20 gram south beach bar and be hungry 2 hours later, but if I mix a shake with a scoop and a half of powder, which is 35 grams, I'm full for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. It may not hurt to try and start to figure out where your own sweet spot is, and how many grams it takes to keep you full for 3 to 4 hours. It may help you out with not needing a fill as often. Chim, I'm having an ok day. It's another hot one here, but relief may be in the forcast for Thursday. At least I have one night of excercise behind me already this week, and tomorrow I'm going to a friends to swim for a few hours with Hunter and DH, so that will be another night. Tonight is my night off, maybe, have to converse with DH on this one!! Kathy, your trip is getting closer. I bet you're getting excited!!! Jeanie, how's your new students?? I bet you come and are totally exhausted. I've only got one to deal with, and I can't imagine a classroom full of them!! Dini, sounds like you're enjoying your time off. I bet Annafrancesca is getting spoiled rotten with her grandma right now!! Sunny, where have you been lady. Haven't heard from you since the chicken salad!! Hope you're ok and it didnt make you sick or something!! Cazulay, so the food got the best of you for a day. It happens, but today is a new day. Wipe your slate clean, and your conscious, and go right back at it. This has got to be a worse addiction than drugs, or alcohol, or tobacco, because we have to eat to live. But you'll be ok, we all will. Practice makes perfect, one day at a time!!!!
-
RIBEARTY, WOW!!! What a day this is for you. Congrats on all the success you've had. Onederland is my first goal and I can't wait to see you there. Save a seat on the bench for me. I'm right behind you, only 6 more lbs. to go. Chim, I love Raisin Nut Bran, so I guess I'll have to get some and start having it for breakfast. Yum!! I'll see what i can do to get a pic up this week of the new hair do. My DH loves it straight, so it's straight now, but I like it curly, so I'll post one of both and see what you all think!! Hope eveyone had a great Holiday weekend. I actually went out and walked tonight. I'm proud of myself. I did a 1/2 hour by myself, about 20 minutes with my son, and then we walked to the Dairy Queen to get my DH and son an ice cream. I came home and drank my water, I was so thirsty!! I can still down my water in no time, which makes me wonder where my fill went!!! I just got it on Wednesday!!! Have a good night everyone.

Well, my DH is getting to spend the evening out with his friend tonight. I'm still not feeling all that well, so I decided to stay home from our huge fireworks show tonight. It's on TV every year, so it's not like I'm going to miss much anyway. At least he gets to go. The only reason I go is because I feel bad if he doesn't have anyone else to go with, but his friend is picking him up. Yeah. Dini, Hunter hasn't started yet, probably a few more weeks. Waiting for the principal to call for a meeting first. Frustrated, love the way your DH put it, and he's right on isn't he!! Cazulay, I'll have to remember the "MOM" next time. I resorted to the worst thing first, and when it barely worked, I went for exlax. Thanks for the idea though, I really appreciate it!! So, what marathon will you be walking? Are you doing the full or 1/2? Are you training alone, or with a team? I trained with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society team when I wlaked the Columbus Marathon last year. It was great fun, but I didn't lose any weight becasue of all the carbs they tell you to eat, and the gels and such we used. Hope you have better luck than me, I'm sure it can be done and lose weight too, I just was overeating on all the wrong things at the time. Good Luck to you. Chim, when is your walk?? Coming up soon? Did you rent out your condo yet? Hope you're having a great weekend. lindaa, I don't think the water is a problem, but it may have been the culprit this time. I went and had my hair done Thurday and was there a long time, with a 1/2 bottle of water, so I didn't get my fluids in this day. Also, I was on liquids, so all I had ate was shakes, soups, and yogurts. No fiber at all. So it was probably a mix of things, but OMG, I have never felt that bad. Next time I will be more prepared, maybe get some V8 juice or something, and try the metamucil or benefiber. Thanks for the ideas!!

NewCC, hang in there with us. You can do it, just limit yourself, and sit back an ask yourself if you're satisfied, not full. We only need to be satisfied from the food we eat. If you eating until full, then you could be overdoing in this stage a little, and the fill will help you. Te excercising will help if you are overeating a little, to work off the extra calories. Don't beat yourself up, we all do it, and it's going to take more than 5 weeks to change the thinking we've done for years. We've got plenty of time, there's no hurry, just enjoy the ability to eat a little more now, as you'll not be able to do this after the fill. Good luck to you. Dini babes, you're home!! Sounds like you had a fab time in Italy, and got to treat yourself to a little R&R and some beauty things. Don't feel bad about leaving Annafrancesca for a few days, you do need the time with Adam. My mom is watching Hunter tonight for us, so we can have a night out. It's a holiday here tomorrow, so we're off work, and can have some time together. Hope everyone's having a great weekend. No cookouts here to attend, but I'm kind of glad. Haven't been feeling the best. TMI coming up, but I've had the worst case of constipation the last day and a half. Never had to use anything in that area, ever, but imodium to stop things up so this was all new to me. Wonder if the fill had anything to do with it cause I had to go on liquids for 2 days after, don't know, but it was bad. Had to send my DH out twice for two different things to try. Finally I have relief today, but I hurt so bad I was crying. Hope to never feel this again, so I need to know what others do to prevent this. Do you take something daily? I've always been a regular person, so maybe I just need to take something around fill time? Oh well, any info would be appreciated!!

forgve, it is a small world, and your in California, right? We had a district position when we opened up the market there. I remember we sent 5 visuals from the district to open that market. It was so diffeent when we opened up Florida. Our district went to store visual and then to ASM when it opened up. I agree that retail hours suck, and that's why I love my job. I usually work M-F, 6am to 2:30pm. The ealier the better.

Shannon, I'm sorry, I must have missed the question. Yes, I dress the mannequins, put up all the graphics in the store, help roll out all the new product line fixtures, do all the display work for the store. It's fun, something different every day. I'm also in charge of the fun food events for the store, go figure, and the fundraising we do. Just an FYI, if any one shops Kohls, most stores will be rolling out our new product line from Vera Wang, the famous designer (for wedding dresses) on Tuesday. It's called Simply Vera, and has some pretty nice pieces I wouldn't mind trying to get into this fall.
-
lindaa, I have to say that "fall" and "spring" cleaning will have a whole new meaning for us and we're going through old clothes. At my support group meeting they suggest to keep 1 pair of your "fat" pants, so that when you are having a bad or "fat" day, you can get those pants out and see how far you've come.

only4me, I got my restraunt card from the dietician at the doc office.

Hey all, Sorry I didn't make it on yesteday, but I splurged and got my hair cut, them got some blond and a few red highights in it. It's awesome. So I got to work today, and one of the guys says to me, so are you palnning to leave your husband!!!!!!! I was like, what????? He said, well, you've lost all this weight and went out and got your hair all done up, so I figured you'd be leaving your husband. I said, "NO, it's not like that at all, just wanted a change. Can you believe it. Why do guys think we're up to something other than just wanting to look good for ourselves and our significant others!!! Oh well, the 2 days of liquids is almost over. My scale showed 205 this morning, so I was happy about that. Only 6 more until ONEDERLAND!!!!!! Gotta love that!! Huge weekend coming up for us. We have a huge firework show on Sunday evening. The set them up on barges on the Ohio river, and set them off. There are 10's of thousands of people that come from all over and line the banks of the Ohio river on both the Ohio and Kentucky sides to watch. It's amazing, but I hate going because of the huge crowd, but my DH has never missed a year since he was younger, so I guess I'll be going, again.
-
only4me, I heard that about the dog, now I wonder who the dog will leave it to when it goes. Some people!!! So I got my fill today, and already feel the restriction. Just drank my shake and had to drink slow. Felt tight, so maybe the second time around is better!! Funny thing is, I just wnet laast Monday to the Physocologist, and from Monday until today I've lost 4 lbs. I've ate more in the past week, but lost more. Makes no sense, but I'll take it. So according to my afternoon weight there, I'm down 22 lbs, but my morning weight at home shows I'm down 25. Either way, I'm not complaining, just wish it would cool off so I can go out and walk without having a heat stroke!! Even the doc said he hadn't been excercising either because of the heat. Made me feel a little better, but still need to get my but in gear.
-
Chim, hey girl, how are you?? We seem to be just missing each other lately. Heading to bed in a few. Have a great night everyone!!
