Krista our surgery is the same day. When I was told I could have vegetables I was so happy. I'm really not a veggie eater which isn't good but I sure do love them now. Lol. I feel for you. How many days do you have to do the pre op diet. I only have to do it for two weeks.
Lucky you. I have do to 28 days diet then 2 days clear liquid only.

I was 285 on May 10th of last year. 250 on the day of my surgery - Oct 20th. 182 as of three days ago. So I lost 35 pre-op' date=' 68 post-op which will be 27 weeks tomorrow, for a total of 103 (so far) in just under a year. Diabetes - gone. Hypertension - gone. Cholesterol - perfect. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!!! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Do exactly what your team tells you to do. Get plenty of exercise. Stay laser focused on eating and drinking healthy and let the weight take care of itself. You're gonna love the new you![/quote']Alright!

I'm 27 weeks post-op and I have never heard of anyone that did not lose weight following RNY. There will be times when the pounds come off pretty fast. And times when they come off pretty slow. And times when they don't come off at all (for a while). Focus your mind and your energy on doing exactly what your team tells you to do and the weight will take care of itself. You and your fiance are going to love the new you!!True

May 21st It seems so far away sheesh I can't wait though I'm counting down days so I can be post op with you guysSurgery day? Or diet before surgery?

That's true. My hubby is one if those. Just eat less & exercise & you will be fine. I cook 3 meals a day. Not a simple sandwich. Example: Breakfast scramble eggs with red & green peppers & onions. Sausage & toast & cafe. Then lunch home made mash potatoes & fresh fish. dinner Mac & cheese with chicken kegs & corn. This won't be easy cuz while I diet to prepare for surgery & after surgery. I still have to make 3 meals per day every day.
