How to choose in Seattle area?

You might try Dr. Kelly Clinch in Kirkland at Evergreen Medical Center. He is very straight forward, very good surgeon, does all his fills and most of the time it only takes two sticks - one for the numbing agent and one to add the saline. His nurses are great too.
  4. Philips Oral Health has UHC that covers the lap band. Their corporate offices are in Snoqualmie & they have sites in Auburn & Bothell.
  5. My husband & I used Dr. Kelly Clinch at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. He was great, his staff is wonderful & the hospital was great & set up for dealing with larger patients.

    Help!!

My husband was banded and he was close to 500 lbs. He was the largest person (at the time) that our surgeon had ever put the band on. Everything went very well. He has had no problems and while we are both slow loosers, he has lost well over 100 lbs. in 2 years. I will say that it took quite a while for him to get good restriction which I think played a part in him not loosing even more weight so far. If you would really rather have the band I say go for it!

    WLS is the easy way

I have thought about this "easy way out" thing quite a bit & I have to say I don't get it! Even if WLS is the "easy way out" (& I don't think it is), so what!?! Why is it considered better or more deserving of recognition or praise to do something the hard way or a way that takes or can take so much longer? If I were building a house would anyone think that house would be better built if I used hand tools instead of power tools just because power tools were easier? I don't think so. I think it comes back to people thinking that overweight people need to be punished for letting themselves get that way and so they should have to suffer to loose the weight. Never mind we suffer every day with physical, emotional and practical issues. If WLS is the easy way out- yeah for me! And if they can make it any easier than that, I hope they do; the easier the better if it means we can be healthy and live a longer, happier, more productive life.
  8. Have you had your gall bladder checked? A lot of these symptoms sound like what my mother had when she had gall bladder problems. Just a thought
