And I didn't entirely hate it! I was sleeved 8/14 and had been doing some exercise at home (swimming and walking) but finally got my nerve up to go. I used the treadmill and tried a few machines. I am excited to do this, however, I am not entirely convinced that it is a "judgement free zone" like they advertise... I felt a little judged.

You're right Debsii and fluffylibra, I know that I am super sensitive about my appearance and tend to assume that I am being judged. Sometimes I am wrong and unfortunately sometimes I am right. I spent a lot of time as an average size person and as I gained over 100 lbs in less than a year, I saw and felt how cruel people become simply because of appearance. I guess it still stings...i need a self esteem work out!! Thanks all

I came home two days after surgery and really wasn't feeling up to doing much on day 3 honestly. Hopefully you can work at your own pace at home? I have never been a napper but i was taking daily naps the first 5-6 days. Best of luck to you!

I couldn't handle the powders either. I found that I can easily drink the premade EAS Myloplex shakes. Good luck! -
I am still having one shake a day to get enough protein. I know what you mean...i take too big a bite and sips without thinking and I forget to go slowly at first. Practice, practice, practice. It's going to get better!!

Went for my post-op visit yesterday and got moved to phase 4 puree! Although I still haven't felt a hunger pain, I was starting to feel sloshy and waterlogged and was super excited to try some food. I had tuna, greek yogurt, chicken, and a Protein shake and managed to get all my Protein and Fluid in...i feel so accomplished I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks and lots of inches. My surgeon said I should expect bigger loss now that I am adding food and i actually lost 2 more lbs this morning. Enough about me, how is everyone else doing from mid-August?

Yay! Make sure you eat super slow. Enjoy

I made that ricotta bake...it was so good. I cooked chicken in the crockpot and mashed my portion apart with a fork. I have egg white & cheese, a dollup of greek yogurt on tomato Soup, cottage cheese. I really haven't blended anything, NUT said if I can mash it with a fork and chew real well it would be fine. I am staying away from bad carbs because they have always been my weakness and so far I haven't had any cravings. Thank you sleeve! Have you tried anything good?

I just stared puree wednesday. I have had tuna, greek yogurt with canned peach slice in it, mashed up chicken, cottage cheese and 1 Protein Shake a day. The lack of veggies and Fiber is really taking its toll. What phase are you on?

Me too! I called the nurse today because I was really scared that I may never "go" again. She said milk of magnesia and to use miralax or a benefiber to keep things moving.

Ok, now for some TMI talk... How is everyone doing as far as going to the bathroom? Is anyone else really constipated all of a sudden?
-
I had surgery a week later and I average 400 calories a day! My NUT says 500-600 is average for the first few months and at a year increase to 1,000. What does your NUT reccomend?

How does he measure how much you are retaining? I tend to retain water as well but noone ever measured it. What does he suggest for you?
