You're not alone. 1rst day was miserable. Has gotten easier as it drags on. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Sure seems to be a lot of food advertisements on TV and in Facebook posts. Probably always was...lol! Just stick out now for some ungodly reason.

I chose the sleeve because of all the people I read about switching to the sleeve from the band. I hope to be more active one day and don't want to worry about the darn thing shifting.

I can totally relate. I knew I had kidney issues but they were stable for years. Then on Christmas eve this past December the dam broke and I was in the Hospital till the 17 of January. They started me on dialysis on January 4th. I went to dialysis 10 days straight then 3 times a week there after. I went from 410 to 330 but needed to lose more to secure a spot on the transplant list. I have to sit there for over 4 hours every visit. Kicks my butt. I go in for my Gastric sleeve surgery on July 23. They say I will lose another 100 pounds. Have not been that light since High school. I'm 6'8" by the way. Should put me at better than optimal weight for transplant. Long road ahead, just keeping my head down and ploughing through. I wish you lots of luck, God Bless!

Detroit area July 23 single sleever here. Can't wait to finally get over with it. Getting attention has never been a problem for me. I want to be able to blend in better.

Hello! I'm 6'8" 330. My high was 410 in 12/12. Lost eighty pounds on diet and dialysis. Hoping to lose another 100 to help with my kidneys.

I have been kicking this around for years. Lurking around bariatric seminars and forums collecting data and comparing procedures. Decided on Gastric Sleeve and finally took the plung. Will be sleeved on July 23 by Dr. Harriott in Detroit. Can't wait! -Hammer
