My experience began June 11 and is posted. Just be cautious. Dr. Garcia is wonderful and so are the other doctors. I just did not get the care I paid for but everyone is different. I went alone too. Go back and read about my experience if you want.

Does anyone know if vomiting at the end of the day can happen? I am finding by dinner time it goes down okay but later my stomach will flip and my dinner comes up. I am four weeks post op.

Hi tcbunny I am doing better today. Yesterday and today I amm having my protein shakes and liquids. Better. Ian fortunate as far as cooking as I don't have small children at home to cook for. That has to be hard. You can do it!

Can you get these at Walmart?

Hi tjmom What a horrible thing to cancel after you paid. I hope they are going to reimburse you. There must be something online. I don't have one either so I am relying on my friends (you) to give me the advice lol. I am doing okay not great but managing. Another six weeks of this is dragging me down. I am a summer person so seeing it slip by and not being able to do much is making me depressed. But this too will pass I hope. Glad to hear from you. We are so funny how we withdraw when we are upset lol. Keep me posted on how you are doing. Work has been crazy busy which is good. Big hug for now. Kat

Hi Southern Oregon Good luck. Remember just because I had a bad experience does not mean that you will. Just make sure you have the aftercare. If you notice any redness around your incision demand attention. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep in touch. Kat

Hi new hope Thought of you often and wondered if you were okay. Yes the vinegar packing part is done but they still pack it with some other mixture now. Go three times a week now to have it changed. They assessed it today and the one hole measures 1 and 1/2 inches deep. Ugg. they figure another 6 weeks of this. There goes my swimming for this year. Hard to keep sitting by the pool and not go in lol. I too am having a hard time keeping food down. It is 4 weeks for me today. Also the empty feeling I get in my stomach is bothering me not sure if is gas. other than that I am trying to keep my chin up. The smile is not back yet. Lol Stay in touch and hope you can keep regular food down okay. Try just baby spoons at first. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Kat

Hi 2besmallagain. I M so glad your experience was a positive one. I did not have any of the services you described in yours. I never said that those complications arose from Dr. Garcia. I love him. He is great. All I am saying is perhaps if I would have received the aftercare this could have been caught in time. The doctors with dr. Garcia are wonderful. It is strange no one has followed up with me even after emails. Everyone make sure your follow up is done. I am sorry I did not get anyone to tahe me back to Dr. Garcia as I should have. I also wish they would have responded to my emails. Oh well, I am on the road to recovery which is good. I don't know why my experience was so different than yours but I will put this behind me. I do know that I would never go through something this big alone again. Thanks for posting Kat

Hi andrea8967 Yes the doctors gave a name to it which starts with an s. go back and read my posts from June 19 th forward and you see the whole story. I suspected I had the infection when I left the hospital but they just said it was red due to surgery. Yes I was on the antibiotics by I've and then on pill form for 7 days I believe it was avenol. Remember I was left alone at the hotel with no one checking up on me even after requesting. I know Dr. Garcia is aware of my situation as I emailed him at his personal email with no response. Perhaps if I was given the care I was promised I would not be in ths situation. I have written everything on the forum not to "bad"mouth" anyone but to make everyone cautious. Everyone must make their own decision. Once you have rad my threads since the 19th I am sure you will get what has happened. No you are not insulting me. I know there are other people out there who had a negative experience but I did my homework so I thought before I made my decision. I am an intelligent person who is in the legal field for 28 years. Hi andre8967 Congratulations and thanks for the information. Yes Dr. Garcia was made aware of the situation by phone and email by myself but to no avail. I am trying very hard to stay strong through this experience. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow and I M suppose to be healed by then but I still have 3 weeks of this to go ugg. Thanks tjmom Sure haven't felt like smiling. I can't even get my walking in due to the pain. My husband asked me yesterday if I could change one thing about this experience what would it be - my answer was I would have never gone alone to make sure I got the care I deserved. Also money is not everything. I would definitely stick to the states and not Mexico.

Thanks oregondaisy I kept my food down yesterday and boy was I sure I measured lol. On my way to get packing changed ugg. So tired of this.. Thanks again keep writing.

Hello everyone! Well it has been a couple of days since I wrote to everyone. They are packing my incisions with vinegar and water twice a day. The first day they did not freeze it at all. I have never felt such pain in my life. After that I went to the drug store and purchased the xylocane and made sure they freeze it before they touch me. It still hurts to a certain point but you can tolerate it. This routine will continue to Monday then the will do a different packing ugg. Sleeping is the problem as I am not a back sleeperso I just snooze a lot. That is all for now. I had my first experience with eating too much last night. I forgot to measure my muchy fish and only guessed at the amount. Whew that was not a fun experience. It took everything not to vomit but I manged to work through it. Why do I have this constant feeling of my stomach being empty? That is driving me nuts too. This weekend is our Canadian holiday weekend celebrating Canada Day but as you can guess I will be laying low trying to heal Thank you everyone for your kind words and please keep the prayers coming. I truly believe without him walking with me I would have given up. I treasure you all and I am working on trying to get the smile back lol. I do have one question - how do you know if you have damaged your sleeve. I will be three weeks on Monday, what an experience.
